Unfortunately not a very good experience. Tried selling me a house as a 'blind purchase ' which they have been managing agents for over 10 years. When I asked about the condition of the property they said "it just needs bit of a clean". The reality was far from this. During the final stages of purchase I discovered the tenant was living in a slum. The property had multiple dangerous elements, it was completely disgusting inside. If the tenant was not fit and able to keep the house clean as managing agents a housekeeper should have been organised and arranged for the tenant years ago. This property is hazardous for the tenant residing in it and these agents have clearly not been concerned for the tenant or the property wellfare . Peter Clark tried Thier best to share little as possible about the house and tenant during the purchase process. Unfortunately after I viewed it literally a week before completion was due and took the attached images. I offered a fair and mature solution that the house should be cleaned up to safe guard the tenant and I'd even be willing to pay more for the house if they could have that arranged. Yesterday I get an email saying they've pulled the plug from the deal and won't give a reason. Oh before I forget this is the same nonsense they provided me when this house sale fell through twice before me, legally estate agents are meant to disclose the reason for a fallen through sale but they even 3rd time around of selling it with me as a buyer chose to hide this pertinent information. There was a clear plan by the estate agent to deceive any buying party from knowing the full depth of issues. It's only on the final few days of the sale process I am told that local police , fire services have all had to be called out to the house. Why they couldn't make this information available at the start when I asked about any problems or issues and they said there wasn't any. Look at the attached photos! Advice for landlords: My true advice for any landlord would be that I would not expect your property to be looked after if you left Peter Clark as your managing agent. The attached photos are an extreme example of what can happen with both tenant and agent neglect. My advice for property buyers: please do not ever trust anything that comes from these guys. Do your own viewing and diligence and enquiries. Unfortunately you may like me end up having your time and legal costs wasted because of their failure to disclose adequate important information to buyers. My advice for anyone looking to sell: if your house has faults or problems you want to conceal then these agents will do a good job at hiding & bending the truth to prospective buyers. I was never going to leave a review initially but I am tired of them with holding crucial information from me, and obviously annoyed the transaction fell apart rather than do the work with all parties and protect the tenant. I have the tenants number and will check in with him in a few months and I can imagine nothing will have been done to help him as I worry he made one day fall unwell due or have a serious accident in the house. (One of the pictures Is the bathroom floor which has been covered by the tenant and has a huge hole in the floor of the bathroom which the tenant advised has been there for multiple years and Peter Clark have not helped with this)... I found that the attitude and behaviour of the staff at Ferryhill was certainly capable of improvement. It wasn't anything as bad as being sworn at or being threatened or anything that bad but still I did find them a little bit rude and attitudinal and as I firmly believe that in buying houses you should always be observant of those little things so as to avoid the big pitfalls I didn't choose to patronise them... Totally disappointed from this agency. A real disaster. I left appointment to view a property today in 14/02/2023. I've been told they will show the property from 10am till 11 am. I did travel from London over 4 hr to get there and arrive at 10.44 am. I've been told they can't show me the place because i was late even that they office is just 7 min drive from the property.
