I was 50/50 on whether to choose an online or a traditional estate agent. I'm so glad I chose Phillip James as I could never have organised so many viewings. In addition the advice and post offer service have been excellent.

AVOID at all costs!

They are only interested in your money as a tenant. After reporting dampness and mold growth in November, nothing was done until March resulting in me having to call each and every week. Lois who was 'dealing' with the case was extremely unprofessional, refusing to take phonecalls from me and emails often not replied to. Complaints procedure is also a joke.... they admitted they were slow in dealing with it, but no apology at all.

Very professional and efficient service from all staff, especially Rebekah who looked after my house sale. Excellent communication channels even in these challenging times. This is the second time I have used this company and I would not hesitate to recommend Philp James.

They dont care about us the tenants.Never worked with such a money oriented selfish service in my life in any industry.
It took them 4 weeks to fix my broken respirator. The apartment was not clean at all when we moved in and the company did not offer any kind of flexibility about getting the keys in the weekend. When confronted about the quality of customer service only got yelled at when it should be quite the opposite.

Avoid at all costs. They rip you off - my property didn't have any flooring for over a month, hot water didn't last for over 5 minutes in the shower, the washing machine was broken, the furniture was worse than basic, balcony door didn't lock, the contractors used to let themselves in into the property without even letting me know about the appointment. The worst estate agents you can let from! Avoid them and you'll have peace of mind.

The service provided by Philip James Manchester in selling my property was excellent - professional, efficient and friendly. They valued my flat fairly, sold it quickly, handled some complexities in an informative and helpful way, and kept me up to date with everything that was happening. They were even really helpful post-sale after they had already been paid. The fixed fee was clear and worked out cheaper than quotations I received from other local agents. Thanks to Lewis, Lisa and all the team - highly recommended.

They are not the cheapest or the dearest on cost.
I chose them for their proffesionaloism.
They asked for a key and planned viewings.
My house sold very quickly.
The only small thing I'd say could have been better was clarity on what the buyer was prepared to have left in the house.
Only by accident I spoke with the buyer to identify they was first time buyer with nothing and would have benefit from my items being left in. This time it was to late and most items had been removed.
I specifically checked this to be asked and was told they had. They hadn't and this wasnt professional or sensible.
