Would not recommend for tenants. I expect they will call my review 'fake' or try to argue like the other negative reviews. If anything that provides a good taster of how they will act, but as a tenant there will likely be worse to come from them. You're in for a treat once they start to get their knickers in a twist about reasonable requests!... Read more

Moved into a flat which the radiators didn’t work as well as the washing machine (they stated in their inventory that they were working!) We had to move the mattress in the living room as the bedroom was so cold it was like being outside. This then took them at least 2 weeks for people to come out have a mess with it and not be able to fix it then eventually in the end they had to replace them all! When calling them up I was told: ‘nothing is perfect’ staff are extremely rude. Then later on in the tenancy I lost my bin key I messaged them for help they just sent me a number for another work man who never answered the phone, when I asked them about this they told me it wasn’t anything to do with them. Extremely unhelpful with providing a service. Last of all to top it all off when my tenancy ended my deposit was protected by the TDS which states they have 14 days to pay this back. It now has been 35 days and I have only just received it back! They charged us ridiculous prices for a light clean up and rubbish that was left there by a previous Tennant and even had the cheek to try and charge us for a shower rail that one of there workmen broke. Unprofessional and rude management. Friendly until you move in/check-out. Owner/managers of the company appear to also own the ' independent 3rd party' Inventory company AND the cleaning company that they will charge you extortionate costs for, so it's an obvious lose-lose. Connect the dots from their LinkedIn's and websites if you don't believe me. Director also threw a hissy fit and called us names via email - just take a look at his responses to previous bad reviews if you want a taste of how sour and unprofessional he is. Only a matter of time before they decide to sack it in and start a new company with a new brand AGAIN. *Edit: yes, it was definitely your business. Great service - I referred a client of mine who had a property in Manchester - on with a corporate chain agency. The property had been empty for two months with no viewings. Kamal and his team made some suggestions for things that were completely overlooked by the other agency and secured tenants within a week. My client was very impressed and I will refer clients with confidence in future.... Read more

Their main page describes the firm as: "The Manchester Estate Agent have spent the last 10 years building up a strong reputation for a reliable and quality service selling, letting, valuing and managing properties in the Manchester city centre area, We provide an honest, personalised and dedicated property service at all times" Absolutely untrue. They do not provide reliable services. Stephen was a nice guy but Kamal and Shaun were consistently rude and irresponsible. Can't say if they have quality service since, they're basically thugs in suits. Absolutely unreasonable people. My landlord also had negative experiences with them and has since changed agents. They may not be good agents but they make a good test of one's patience.... Read more
