Robert Watts Estate Agents is truly a family concern. It was established by Bob Watts in 1979 and he whilst he is still involved on a consultancy basis, the professionally qualified firm is now run by his three children James, John and Kate, ably assisted by our vastly experienced and loyal staff members. We have been located in Birkenshaw for nearly 30 years and are the longest established agent in the area. The office is run by in branch director John Watts.

The team at Robert Watts from the start were professional, compassionate and also really helpful with other parts of the process.
Kept us in the main, up to date with everything during the sale and on completion.
Only two wee niggles, one the 'portal' was a tad lame and the email received a few days ago, asking if we had settled into our new home!
Now, very aware it is a generic email probably sent to all. These really should be personalised to fit whatever scenario regarding the sale etc, considering the fees that are charged.
All in all, we would consider using Robert Watts if we needed an estate agent in the future.

Things got a little complicated when the sale fell through but another buyer was secured within days and the property completed 5 weeks later. Selling a house is stressful, I live in the South West and as I am not in the area anymore I needed the property to be left in safe hands. As the property was vacant Tabby arranged for it to be checked on regularly for my peace of mind and always replied to my calls immediately. I sold my house recently with Robert Watts from valuation to getting on the market was really quick which was needed to ensure we could get an offer accepted on a house we wanted to buy.
The 3 ladies in the office are all exceptional at responding, chasing and pulling parties together. They made the whole selling experience far less stressful and were a pleasure to work with, i actually miss speaking to them now its all over.
I had considered going with an online cheaper alternative but knowing how much work is needed and what the estate agents do i think the small cost difference is outweighed by the expertise, availability and knowledge they bring to the moving experience.
I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of selling and if I'm crazy enough to move in the future again then they will be the only firm who I am calling.

Dear Mr Watts.... you have replied to my google review .... 'Leslie sorry you had some issues but you can't actually book a viewing direct through our website and all requests go direct to the office. Can we help you re-book something? ' I do understand that a direct booking cant be made via the website BUT... Your website clearly invites you to 'arrange a viewing' and details are required to do so....name e mail telephone number etc.... I completed the details on a Friday evening.... yet no one contacted me for days .... i didn't want to knock on the door of the house.... i tried to follow protocols..... by Wednesday i was getting worried that you may have overlooked my request to arrange a viewing...so i rang your office and guess what the house in question had been sold just 24 hours earlier.... my request was made the day that the "for-sale sign" went up....and was ignored by your office. this is clearly not a great service for any of your customers..... and not the first time i have experienced this issue with Robert Watts. i am not impressed at all.

After 33 years living happily at our home in East Bierley we decided to ‘make that change’ and put our house up for sale. Robert Watts Estate Agents have an excellent reputation in our area and we had no hesitation in appointing them as our agent. John, Rebecca and Tabby provided us with outstanding support and service and we cannot thank them enough or recommend them enough (its a shame we cannot enthuse in the same way about our solicitor).
From the outset, Rebecca and Tabby kept in touch with us with the latest information and updates as they received them - that ‘comfort’ was invaluable because, its never an easy process selling your house.
Sadly, Google reviews only offer the chance to rate 5 stars maximum .. as we wanted to give them 10.

Today, less than 24 hours after I booked it, I get a call cancelling the appointment. When I asked why all I was told was, "the valuer cant get there". Very very poor service.
