Direct access to and from Heathrow on Picadilly. Also serves District and Circle. Route 74 goes right nearby as well. Easy and interesting walk to Hyde park and museums such as V&A. Pretty good for restaurants such as Green Door. Unfortunately Millineum Hotel, right across the street, doesn't have as good of a loyalty programme any more.

Great location for this tube station, lots of useful shops and places to eat within the Arcade and nearby. What is a tube station afterall if not a means to get somewhere? The station itself is a lovely old one, though well maintained and always clean. A much better one to use than the often way too busy South Kensington station.

At street level the station gives the impression of a well kept historical building. The entrance and ticket hall are step free and the area through the ticket barriers is lit from above by natural light.
That unfortunately is where the good news ends, because the rest of the station is not user friendly.
The District and Circle line platforms are only accessible via long staircases. The Piccadilly line is accessible via lifts, but from the bottom landing to the platforms is by about 20 steps down.
If your hotel is nearby, lugging suitcases around here is a pain.
Never interchange here between the Piccadilly line and the District and Circle lines except if one or other is completely suspended. There are plenty of better places to interchange.
Never come here with a wheelchair, or if you have mobility difficulties. Only bring a buggy or pram or suitcases if you are fit and healthy and enjoy the exercise.
As with nearby South Kensington, this station really needs money spent on it by Tfl, to make it a lot more accessible for everyone.
In the meantime Earl's Court station is the closest place that (although not perfect), ticks a lot more boxes, and has the same routes available.

Nice area out of the station but staff are really unhelpful. There is no wheelchair or pram access from the circle and District line and one staff member refused to help me get my baby and buggy up the stairs claiming a bad back. Fortunately a member of the public helped out - it really want a massive weight to help me move...
