I had the pleasure of working with Wei Hu from Foxtons South Kensington when I secured my flat in Earls Court back in July. I moved in around September, and now, after nearly a month, I feel compelled to leave a review. What stands out the most is Wei’s exceptional after-sales service. He has been incredibly patient and responsive, addressing all the issues and questions we've had as tenants (as you know, the first month always comes with its challenges!). His dedication has made the process much smoother. Highly recommend!

Joe was extremely welcoming and efficient in adhering to my demands. As I was in a housing predicament where I was in desperate need of a property, he took this into consideration and kindly toured me around 5 different flats, where he was extremely personable and engaging in doing so. Last week I used Foxtons in South Kensington in the search of finding a rental apartment in the Chelsea area, and was assisted by estate agent Harriet Kirkwood. Harriet showed me multiple apartments all in one afternoon, varying in price and differing in location, which proved to be an highly insightful experience for me as a first time renter in London. She was also very attentive in the follow-up process in the days after the viewings, which is an especially vital quality to have in an estate agent where making an offer on an apartment even just an hour earlier than others makes all the difference! Would highly recommend Harriet :-)

Never use Foxton again!
I had the worst renting experience with them after 13 years of renting.
They are a bunch of unprofessional agents who are pushy and very unresponsive.
Once I moved in, I found the flat in a miserable situation, full of mould, the flat was in a very unhygienic state, they didn't do professional cleaning. I had to paint bathroom and get bathroom to a human useable state.
Regarding the contract, they will not provide any early termination clause in the contract and lock you in. I found the flat was over priced and wanted to exit after first month, but found out that there is no early termination clause.
They don't send you a copy of signed contract. They keep the contract on their portal and I have realized the y changed the Early termination clause after my emails regarding that I want to leave before 1-year.
Really rubbish agency, will not recommend them at all.

It gives me great pleasure in writing this crit as I am one who believes in giving “credit where credit is due”.
I cannot even begin to explain the challenges we had in finding a property for our Son in the UK from where we live in South Africa……it was extremely difficult to put it mildly – there were many challenges with Agents not responding or offering any real assistance whatsoever. That was until we came across this very diligent, professional, kind and compassionate young lady by the name of Harriet Kirkwood.
Every email was responded to immediately and when I explained how difficult it was trying to source a flat from SA without a landline, she immediately came forward with her own mobile number so that we were able to whatsapp each other, which made this process so pleasurable.
My husband and I have both held very senior positions within the Hospitality Industry at 5 Star Hotels and as you can imagine the customer service we instilled in our staff to ensure our guest experience was of the highest standard, and this standard was evident in the way Harriet dealt with us. Good staff is hard to find, service excellence should be the norm, but often it isn’t. We found Harriet’s service excellence “ incredible”.
Going forward if I am asked about Estate Agents in the UK I will immediately revert to my experience as detailed above with Foxtons and Harriet.

There was a time when Foxtons' reputation in the market carried with it a flavour of new money and shiny suits. In some ways they were looked down upon by the older firms so beloved of the Establishment. Well, I look back on my experience with this office in three recent property searches in SW3 - two short-term rentals and the purchase of an apartment - and I think to myself to hell with the Establishment names. The team at Foxtons consistently demonstrated deeper client connections, greater tenacity and patience, more effective negotiating skills and a fundamentally better understanding of market dynamics and human motivations than the overwhelming majority of their competitors. I take my hat off to them.

Olivia F was super. We let a property for the first time through her. Finding a tenant took some time as the property was not in good repair, so we renovated after the property was originally listed. We had an offer from a possible tenant who was, I suspect, quite hard work to deal with. Olivia showed enormous patience through that process until we decided it was a bad "fit". Olivia finally found us a tenant who seems lovely and Olivia liaised with everyone with patience and grace throughout. Would recommend highly. Foxtons - you pay for the service(!), but it is a good service. Monkeys...peanuts...we almost had a tenant from another letting agency - they all chase incessantly in this area. It was a nightmare - they seemed ready to cut corners to get the agreement through. If you want to be a good landlord, who dots the i's and crosses the t's, it is sensible to use a reputable firm.

Was unfamiliar with the area and new to the whole rental process as we are from the US. I needed an agency to help me find a place— giving them very little notice, and very specific parameters (infant daughter, had to be very close to my husband’s work, super tight budget!) I am from New York so everything was done over the phone and, despite talking with 4 agencies, Jenna/Foxtons was the only one who would answer me regularly and promptly. I previously had a terrible experience with Foxtons, including being moved into an uncleaned flat with no response throughout the rental period from the Foxtons property manager.
Verity and Chris have turned around my impression of Foxton’s completely with this rental process.
Verity went above and beyond to ensure I was shown a large number of flats and tried to understand my specific needs, particularly within my budget. She was extremely patient through a process that took a couple of months and finally found me a great flat that I absolutely love. I wouldn't recommend Foxtons for many reasons. Here is a recent experience. I booked a very expensive cleaning (225 pounds) from Foxtons, the usual price for my flat is 120-ish pounds. This is one thing, the second thing is that the cleaner only got 90 out of 225. What's worse was that the cleaning was done badly such that I was required to pay a extra cleaning fee as requested by the landlord. Paying 225 pounds for a 90 pounds' job, well done Foxtons!

The Foxtons lettings & sales teams were always extremely professional, available, upbeat, pro-active and down to earth. We always felt they protected our interests. All our tenants were 5* - we never had any issues whatsoever. We finally sold the property whilst living abroad and Tom Wilmot-Smith and Ashley Fawcett held our hand throughout the whole process - they were extremely helpful and always available. The lawyer Foxtons recommended to us was also fantastic. The MyFoxtons portal works very well and makes it easy to manage/accompany the process. I have been very dissatisfied with Foxtons, South Kensington Branch. They promise something, they do another. Staff are incompetent and do not care. I am still waiting for my statement from someone called Holly, which it has not arrived yet, although, she promised to send it immediately. She was supposed to call me back too and I waited over an hour, but they ignore my calls. I have been charged £6,143.00 (they overcharged me too) and this is the treatment I get. I will never use Foxtons again.
I called her colleague, Maggie and she pretended she had suddenly left on an emergency. They are not professionals. As soon as they get their commission they really misbehave.

Honestly dreadful. Rented with foxtons as property managers for 3 years. Had to beg and plead with them to sort any issues out. Once they left us without a working front door for 3 months and only sorted it when I threatened to involve CAB. When estate agents started showing our property to other potential tenants they would come in without asking, lie and say they had called/had permission when they didn't, and be extremely rude when I brought these issues up. Our deposit was late getting back to it. Foxtons are rubbish. P.s. I might get a response saying "please contact us"- I have tried contacting them many times to complain with no response. Avoid if you can.

Wow! I am writing this review because myself and my friend who were served by Rosie were absolutely blown away by the quality of service. Where do we even start she was kind, friendly, professional, attentive and energetic! Honestly we could go on and on about it. She arrived on time and was instantly very hands on, giving us useful information and thinking ahead on potential answers that we would have! After our first viewing she answered questions and queries we would have politely and entertained us no matter how “stupid” or “pointless” the question seemed.
On top of being extremely respectful, Rosie was also extremely kind, offering to show us a nearby listing after we told her the reqs we were looking for! It was refreshing to encounter someone so helpful and passionate. Conversation on the drive over was fantastic as Rosie is really down to earth but also once again left us with excellent information and tips. Finally once done with the second viewing, Rosie carefully walked us through the offer making process and even offered to drop us to a nearby station. Since then, she has sent over other listings and virtual viewings. So the aftercare is great too! All in all her service and attitude were outstanding and have really given us an excellent opinion of Foxtons! Anybody planning to use this Foxtons, ask for Rosie and you can’t go wrong! There have been many issues with their payment processing system that have not been fixed in the last whole year, and don't get me started on ending a tenancy. It just feels like as if they want to trap you into their contracts.

My husband and I were very pleased the with service that Igor provided. He was forthcoming with information about the properties that we were considering and was willing to advise when something was not likely to be to meet our requirements and that we shouldn't waste our time with a viewing. Having come from out of town, we also found him to be a useful source of info with getting the lay of the land where the neighbourhoods were concerned. Generally very responsive. Although we eventually decided to go with another property because of other considerations, his professionalism showed through, and he was pleasant and courteous to the end. Disgraceful incompetent liars!
Before signing the contract they would answer my e-mails within seconds and would send 10 text messages per hour, but after collecting their fees they don't answer the phone and are nowhere to be found.
I am paying almost 5K rent a month and I am treated as if they have let me stay in their house for free. Foxtons agents enter the flat I am renting without my knowledge and as they please. My personal belongings have gone missing but there is little I can do or prove because they have management keys and can do whatever they want. Now that I am finally moving and going to a different agent they refuse to confirm that i have rented through them and payed my rent in good faith, unless they charge me a fee for that. I call this extortion and overall a disgusting behaviour. There are so many other agents on the market, stay away from Foxtons!

INCOMPETENT LIARS – A real nightmare.
I have been in the unfortunate situation to be a tenant in one of the flats let by FOXTONS South Kensington as the agent. Although the flat was fine, the move in procedure was a complete nightmare due to the rude and really unprofessional treatment I received from Sammy Saaysa and his manager James Hankin. I advise that you avoid being served by these two agents AT ALL COSTS.
To summarise my experience, I was initially shown the flat by Sammy Saaysa. The flat was under refurbishment at the time therefore I was hesitant in committing. I made an offer on the next day and received a positive reply from the landlord. As soon as the reply came Sammy pressurised me in sending over a large sum of money to secure it. As the flat was under refurbishment I asked for one or two more days before sending the money to think about it more carefully. James Hankin called me in an extremely rude manner and said that ‘flats like that do not often become available for the given price’ giving me an ultimatum, threatening me that I will not be able to get the flat if I do not make a decision and transfer fees by the end of the day. Due to the fact that I appreciate the high demand, I sympathised with the situation and agreed to pay the full amount plus fees upfront which I did in good time.
Having paid (at least a few weeks before the move in date) I was rest assured that everything was in place. That was until I received a phone call from James Hankin 2 days before the arranged move in date asking for additional documents, threatening that I will not be handed the keys of the flat over if these are not provided, even though I paid in full and the contract was signed by both parties. During the phone call James insulted me on several occasions and called me incompetent due to the fact that the documents were not yet received. [I stress here that these documents were not requested earlier on due to the negligence of Sammy Saaysa that left for an annual leave without replying to my emails so as to inform me that these documents were necessary]. Thankfully, I managed to provide the documents in time but I was left feeling very distressed by the actions and lack of professionalism of James Hankin.
Following this, I completely lost my trust to the agency and therefore I asked to be present during the check in that was scheduled to happen on a date and time that I could attend. This was changed without my knowledge and I lost my chance to attend, as the check in happened before I was made aware of the change. On my move in date, to my total surprise I found the flat in an appalling state (Digusting toilet - Rotten leftovers-see attached photos). Even though the contract specifically stated (tenancy agreement point 18.12) that the flat was to be professionally cleaned, this was not done, the toilet was left blocked and the old furniture (that the agents agreed to have removed) had not been removed. Note that the landlord has no blame over this as the flat was managed by FOXTONS as well. The experience was very frustrating as the movers already had my items in their van ready to unload in the flat. Finding the flat in this state and having to undergo this experience is completely unacceptable. In addition, the first response from FOXTONS in the morning of the move in, was that a professional cleaning was not agreed upon obviously a lie. After several phone calls the situation was fortunately resolved.
After the move in, I informed FOXTONS (Sammy Saaysa specifically) via email about my experience, however they never replied to offer an apology or even explain why the above happened.
If you had the patience to read the above, you can appreciate why you have to avoid FOXTONS South Kensington at all costs. Tenant or landlord, I urge you to stay away from FOXTONS.

I used Foxtons twice, once for my first flat in London and a second time when both me and my husband were looking for a new place. I am so excited I will pick up the keys tomorrow! I have tons of experience with every office as all properties I was interested in were Foxtons and they are now handling the viewings of the old flat (stressful). So far I think they are worth the tiny extra bit of money compared to other agencies, they actually work for their money and the properties we were proposed, the way they were shown and the information provided are so much better than other agencies. Our favourite contact is Sophie Rolls who moved from the Earls Court office to the South Kensington one I believe. She is polite, friendly and super when it comes to find the right property.

Before, our negotiator, Sophie Rolls, would reply to our emails within minutes. After having signed our contract, Sophie only replies to our emails after days or not at all. When we try to ring her, she never picks up the phone or deliberately hangs up on us. Things that she promised us before signing the contract were not delivered, such as a work desk each and a proper bed for each of the bedrooms. Sophie also tried to rush us at every step of the way, e.g. signing the contract and getting forms for her. However, when we wanted information from her, she was painfully slow in responding. Initially, we wanted to use a guarantor but she didn't make it clear what forms would be required and after we gave her lots of forms she kept complaining they didn't meet the requirements so in the end we had to pay for 6 months rent in advance.

By far the worst! I have been foxtons client (tenant) for the last 4 years, and my interested has been always been violated. Don't ever use foxtons. at the beginning they look nice, but once you are signed into the agreement, you only pay, you even pay for stuff that is guaranteed by others. On moving in to our flat we were disappointed to find it hadn't been cleaned (we found out it had been vacant for a year) and didn't have a working boiler or fridge. Most unpleasant "customer service" I have ever had in London. I didn't even get to see the properties I was interested to let because once the agent who contacted me found out I was looking in other areas than hers she told it was better "not get an headache to both of us" and not waste our time looking "all over London" (i.e I was looking in two different area, both with Foxtons). It's very funny to me, considering their job is to show properties to their possible customers, that she thought that show me flats in her area was a waste of time. Also, it's none of their business where or where not people want to look for their flats. Maybe it's better if that person would change job.

Absolute nightmare. Foxtons have failed to deliver on any of their responsibilities. The only time they were really keen on getting things done is when it was our turn to pay 6 months' rent up front. They didn't get the apartment cleaned before our arrival, despite delaying our move-in to allow time for them to do so, they didn't provide a 2nd set of keys, despite promising to do so and were rude and unhelpful every step of the way. One piece of the paperwork we were supposed to provide was missing (because they told me it was not necessary) and one of their agents actually said "Well I'm not letting you move in without [the document]". On top of the advertised admin fees were were presented with around £300 of hidden extra charges as well as a 2% credit card charge, which they failed to warn us about, which again was in the £300 range, their service costing over 2x as much in the end than advertised. I would never recommend them to anyone. I know they have a large range of flats on offer, but I would urge everyone to do their best to avoid Foxtons.

I can't say that I am a fan of Foxtons and I've had horrendous experience with one of the other Foxtons offices. However, Foxtons generally has a good selection of properties, which is the only reason why I have used them.
That said, Narjes El Hermi at the South Kensington office has been most pleasant and helpful to deal with, going the extra mile and understanding my requirements perfectly. Foxtons should have more staff like her or they should tell their staff to be more pleasant with customers and then maybe they wouldn't have such a bad reputation.

We had a very specific property in mind and even after scores of viewings, we hadn't quite hit upon just the right one - but Arthur never gave up! We were looking for an apartment in South Kenn and were dealing with several estate agents. In the end we bought with Foxtons and the primary reason was the service we received which led to us finding the perfect place for us. Frankly we didn't really know what we wanted and saw dozens. I liked some and my wife liked others. Then the kids saw the flats and had a different view. We dealt with Anne-Marie Mogg and she was a rock star - she patiently listened to our reactions and gradually narrowed down the choices until eventually she said 'I'm going to show you three today and I think one of these is perfect for you'. She was right. She showed us one that was not on the market yet but was 'the one'. We made an offer on the spot and a few weeks later it was ours thanks also to their ability to put us in touch with surveyors, solicitors etc who know how to get a transaction through quickly and with minimum fuss.
We've bought multiple properties over the years and what you really want is a personalised service like this. Buying a property is a process and you need help - they understand this. We can't recommend them highly enough. Ignore the dodgy reviews - these guys are great - and the after sales service is just as good.

Alex Lamping, the agent, was very professional: he understood exactly the kind of flat I wanted, given a specific price range. He made himself available with many relevant viewings, he was reactive and very flexible. I also appreciated his way to show me the flats by letting me judge by myself.

My lettings agent is Amit Sharma from Foxtons. I have been dealing with him for the past 10 years. He has been marvellous.Amit gets the job done. He has managed to rent some of my flat's in just one day. I have had some really good tenants who had extended the leases and had been a pleasure to deal with. Amit Sharma is the Lettings Manager at Foxtons South Kensington and he is certainly the one to recommend if you have a property to rent in the SW7 area.

She understood what i was looking for straight away and was super cool. So basically i found an apartment in two days and am very pleased. Would highly recommend. Don't forget to ask for Khadra :-)

Foxtons simply have the best apartments in London. I was in contact with Khadra Abdullahi, she picked me up with a car and drove me to two different apartments, both were great! Got a cappuccino in between and was able to get the flat I wanted. Fast & efficient contact!

Your axiom can be made from the reviews, but ones utility is based off relationships, whether its the company or a person. I came to London for to do my MBA at a top business school, and brought my wife and pet. As you may know, its extremely difficult to obtain a flat with a pet. I met many agents, some were nice, some were odious. I met an agent named Alice Geddes, who was amazing because she really does care, you can tell she has a good heart, even after the contract was signed, and months later.
We worked with Alice for a while, looking at various flats around London and even though our price range wasn't that high, it didn't matter to Alice, she treated us as we were high asset clients. It's probably the best move an agent can do and what most agents do not do. Referrals are everything, and I will be looking to refer as many people as possible to her, because my word is a reflection of my experience. Once I graduate and find a job, I hope to do business with her in the future. With regards to some of the poor reviews on here, I understand you may have had a bad experience because someone was either snobbish, rude, or overcharged, but thats because you haven't met Alice, so if you meet someone that you prefer not to do business with, just ask for Alice! The price of service is what you make of it, and your experience, so why not make it a pleasant one?

My agent was Sami from Foxtons, I was looking for an apartment to purchase, and had many estate agent companies who were helping me, but without doubt Sami was the best agent - proactive, punctual, courteous with a sunny disposition which made him a pleasure to work with. His driving skills are excellent too! He listened
to what my requirement was, and showed me comparable properties and others
which he thought were similar to what I was looking for, helping me gauge what was
available and what I could achieve.
I can see why Foxtons has achieved the reputation they have, my experience with
Sami illustrated how on the ball this company is by choosing staff who are very serious in helping their customers.

I worked with Fiennes and found him to be very good. I only had a few days in London Fiennes managed to show me several properties over 2 days. I found him to be polite, well informed and easy to get along with.

Only giving one star because I can't give 0 stars. I worked with the agent Narjes El Hermi and the experience was an absolute horror. She made a lot of empty promises and the property given to us was full of defects which up till now ( 8 weeks since ) hasn't been repaired yet. They will give u a lot of trouble along the way. Highly recommend not to use Foxtons.

My experience with Foxton was overall good. I got to meet Narjes and she was especially very patient and understanding. Although I never got to use them at the end of the day as I have already contacted another agent before coming to Foxton. I will gladly say they are quite experience and very professional. I will personally recommend Narjess as a good agent with a good customer relationship, keep it up girl! And a big thank you to all the team at South Kensington.

I had my flat on the rental market with 3 agents but it was Faron Sutaria that really worked at marketing my flat and had the most number of viewings arranged. I was always kept up to date with feedback from all viewings and I found this to be very helpful. Needless to say, a tenant was found by Rocky O'Toole from Faron Sutaria. I had a stipulation that I needed to interview the prospective tenant before agreeing to the lease. Faron couldn't have found me a more perfect tenant in every single way and I have been looked after as a client through the entire process. Every question I have had has been addressed within a 24hr time period and this has give me much peace of mind as a landlord.

Just noticed I can review here so decided to. I had an awful experience with Charlene Brigham and George Barber. I complained to foxtons Shoreditch to Natalie (I'm a landlord in East London) and she said she would get back to me. Didn't hear anything. I know plenty of other people who've had bad experiences with foxtons.
I was living in a hotel (which they knew) at the time and they essentially told me I'd be moving in on a certain date to get me to say yes. I did. They changed the date. I ended up staying in the hotel longer. I wasn't happy. They didn't care. Foxtons are too big and have too much power hence treat clients /landlords like they are commodities. Eventually it'll implode I hope. Not a fan.

Very bad experience with the Lettings Manager Amit he kept lying about things and agreed terms on a property we rented and was absolutely disrespectful to us at all times!
Bosses in headoffice should review if they want to keep this guy as Foxtons image on the Southken lettings department never had such a bad experience with anyone in the entire time I´ve lived in London.

My experience was great and I will be recommending Foxtons to my friends. The main reason for that was certainly due to Alexis Zaranis who was very professional, diligent and responsive from day one. Often good work can go unnoticed so I wanted to make sure you were aware of that.

Do not use them! You have been warned. Moved from US to London. Contacted Foxton to assist in locating a property to rent. Took several inquiries to have someone from the local office to contact us. We followed up with the letting agent one week prior to coming to London and asked that they arrange showings the following day we arrive (on Saturday). Upon our arrival that Friday we contacted the agent again and the agent replied that he was unable to arrange any viewings for the next day. That was the last communication that we had. The letting agent never contacted us back.
