not one to usually leave reviews however i feel so let down that its only fair i express my experience but more importantly for the company itself.

i was due to view a property in Nazeing last week which was booked in by the Hoddesdon branch. Due to the current covid situation appointments had to be spaced out and viewings set days apart, i was booked in for the viewing 10 days after i made contact, i felt this was too long to wait and even stated at the time will you be seeing all viewings through which the answer was yes.

2 days before the viewing i get notified that all future viewings are now cancelled as an offer has been accepted the day before, great however why book viewings in if mid way your prepared to accept offers and not give people a fair chance?? it was only 2 more days to go until the viewing! its just not how you do business in my opinion.

i tried to explain my position is very strong with a mortgage agreement already in place and prepared to go over the asking price so could you relay that back to the vendor as i have been looking for a family home in the area for a while, i was rudely shut down and told the vendor would not be interested as she is happy to proceed with the current offer received,

now i know i would certainly like to have been informed of a such information if i was the vendor so close into accepting an offer..

i did call the branch sales manager a few times only to keep being told there not available! left a message no call back wether it was passed on or not who knows.. in the end i spoke to the same agent instead and was softly told if it does not work out we will let you know, now that sounds good however the agent made no effort to confirm my details just wanted me off the phone.

extremely disappointed in the level of professionalism from a sales prospect never come across such working methods before! a real shame as i am so interested in the property.

Came to veiw one of their properties today. The estate agent was awful. Hardly sold it to us. My husband, an ITU doctor, took the morning off work to see the place and the agent was eager to kick us out after 8 minutes because he had another viewing. Shame because we were previously very keen on the place.

After such fantastic service, I just had to leave a review! I was a first time buyer and as such, needed a fair amount of guidance. Shepherds were great from start to end and beyond! My agent Charlie, communicated well throughout the process. Furthermore he was still responding to requests after the sale - this is significant for me as usually once people already have your money, it becomes very difficult to get a hold of them! The times that Charlie was not available, his colleagues were helpful also. They really did take the stress out of the home buying process and I’m really grateful for the smooth and efficient service. I would definitely recommend them!

We used Shepherds after they sold our neighbour's house. Working in the industry myself, I always tend to be quite critical on service levels.
From first meeting, all the way through to getting the property on the market, was an efficient and professional process. Was very impressed with the photos of the property.
Once the property was on the market, we had a large number of viewings, all communicated to us and all feedback also provided. They also managed to get the property under offer within 10 days of marketing, which we were thrilled with.
Charlie, who was dealing with our sale, was always available to speak with, and if he wasnt, another member of the team would assist, with no problems.
We exchanged in 7 weeks and just in time for Christmas.
A fantastic experience, and would highly recommend Shepherds as the agency to work with.
