This review is long overdue, but I really could not recommend this branch of Slater Hogg highly enough. My sister and I contacted Lena initially to set up a valuation for our late father's property and were straight away given a date that suited. Colin's incredible professionalism, honesty and experience upon first meeting made the choice between Slater Hogg and other local agents an absolute no brainer. Colin was on hand to give us real advice and take us through the process from beginning to end, an honest valuation and a majorly smooth process which ended up being MUCH quicker than we imagined. It ended up going for a little over the asking price and I have to extend our gratitude to Lena and Eilidh at the branch for excellent communication and again helping us in what was a sensitive and confusing situation for both my sister and I. We have had a great experience with Slater Hogg & Howison Bridge of Weir. We sold our home with them and purchased our new home through them. Colin did our appraisal on our property and the preparation for the listing before the house went on the market. He kept us informed at every stage and was very efficient. Lena was always a great point of contact, arranging our viewing of the house we bought and viewers for our current property. She was also very helpful over the phone whenever I had any queries. Eilidh has been our main point of contact and has been great throughout the whole process! She has a lovely manner and offered advice, which was balanced and impartial at all times. I was struck by her knowledge of the area, schooling, amenities etc as well as being fully armed with all the particulars of the property. She was able to answer all my queries. We had many difficulties looking for a property since the start of 2021 but Donna and Colin were always there to help. Donna was always there to provide market insight on the properties we were looking to put offers on. She was always available for a call/chat/advice and always more than happy to help even when the properties were not being sold by Slater Hogg. Thanks to Donna's help and advice we have managed to find a new home. Based on my experience with Donna, there was no way we were going to use any other estate agent to sell our house. The Bridge of Weir office of Slater Hogg were so bad that I cut my losses and moved to another estate agent. They were awful at returning calls - not just mine, but potential buyers calls too (I had to go to the office and stand over them so they would call an interested party back 4 days after he'd expressed an interest in my property). I also asked a friend to submit an online request for the home report and it took them more than 24 hours to supply it (during a normal working week). I will not be using any Slater Hogg services again and would warn people to avoid them at all costs.... Read more
