extremely disappointed with the service I received from this agency. The staff member I interacted with was very rude and impatient, and abruptly hung up the phone during our conversation, which was both unprofessional and discouraging. Furthermore, I felt that their behavior towards me was discriminatory based on my race, which is completely unacceptable in any setting, especially in professional interactions. I would not recommend this agency due to the poor customer service and disrespectful treatment I experienced.... Read more

April 2024. Very dissatisfied with the service. We booked a property for viewing for Wednesday at the beginning of the week, and then that same day called to postpone it to Thursday. On Thursday they called that they would like to post pone for Friday instead, we played nice - and said no problem. And on a Friday morning, finally the date of viewing, they called to ask if we are still available for a viewing as well as slightly pushing it to come even earlier - we confirmed. While we were on our way (sacrificed half of the working day to make it there) literally 20 minutes before the viewing - they called to say someone made a holding deposit on the property…. ??????????? I don’t know the details on the inside, but it seems like we were not the top candidates for the listing, and they were keeping us as last resort giving what seemed like made up excuses, as clearly the property was viewed on our initial scheduling days, otherwise how did someone place a holding deposit for it so soon. Regardless of any of that, this situation just leaves a super bad aftertaste, felt very unprofessional and just seemed that they didn’t care at all ??????????? ????... Read more

We are extremely disappointed with the service provided by Spencer Curtis agency. Despite giving them a one-month notice, Director Mr Spencer refused to provide references to our new agency, insisting that we find substitution tenants ourselves. In an effort to comply with their request, we found a substitution family, but Director Spencer rejected them due to the requirement of a guarantor. When we asked for a solution, Spencer proposed a chargeable advertisement service on our behalf, costing £350. It is disheartening to discover that the tenants found through this service also required a guarantor. However, this time it didn't pose a problem for Spencer since he had already obtained his profit of £350. Adding to our frustration, the process of tenant screening took an excessive three weeks due to the agency's lack of professionalism. They repeatedly requested the same information, further prolonging the procedure. Overall, our experience with Spencer Curtis agency has been highly unsatisfactory, and we believe that their handling of our situation was both uncooperative and unprofessional.... Read more

I'm appalled and quite frankly shocked how inefficient a company can be! I went to a viewing during the week and didn't hear anything from the agent despite calling them numerous times. I've sent them emails (which was not responded to by the team) and text messages yet, i didn't hear a thing! When I've finally managed to get a hold of Stuart (the lettings manager) today, i was informed that someone else has put down a deposit during the weekend. It's very unprofessional for you to not answer your emails and calls due to your "inconvenience". If you are looking for a responsive and professional service, look elsewhere!!!... Read more

Because my contract was 6 months, they supported me in getting out the contract early and finding another tenant to replace me so that I could save money. Terrible company stay away put a extra month on tenancy and when questioned tried to keep deposit saying that we owed money also had mice there and didn't do anything when reported things took ages to be actioned and relevant paperwork weren't chased up and then accused of not sending paperwork back when we hadn't received it in the first place and they would of known that if they had called or emailed and asked if we had recieved it would give 0 stars if it would let me... Horrible service!! Very argumentative and liars!! I moved into my rental property and requested for certain things to be fixed and they appeared to be old and damaged! We were told that they would speak with the owner of the property and get them repaired. It's now been over 2yrs and the work still has not been carried out, instead they keep blaming the owner. However things are breaking around us and the are now blaming us also!!! The owner of Spencer Curtis is not a nice man and the "King" of lies! This is a true review and if I were you I would think twice before renting from them. The most horrible experience of our lives. Shameful company.... Read more

Waste of time! After waiting all week for a viewing, no one turned up on the day. When I called, was told that ‘they tried to call me yesterday to cancel and possibly left a voicemail’. I don’t even have a voicemail functionality on my phone and no missed calls were made. 2 hours on a Saturday are wasted for no reason - thanks! Awful service, will be avoiding in the future....
