The UK housing market has been very slow in the 8 months since we first put our home on the market. Coastal has, however been great to deal with since the start, offering their full support and responding quickly and efficiently to our requests for advice or help. They have suggested improvements to our property brochure, position in their window display etc. Ours is a beautiful and unique property and requires special handling, which they understand. The only reason that I have not awarded them maximum stars is that we have, to date, only had 3 viewings and have failed to receive any offer.

Our experience with Coastal House was fantastic from start to finish. They made special arrangements so that we could go back for a second viewing at the time we needed; they gave us access to view the property on several occasions before the final purchase in order to make plans for refurbishment etc; they monitored both solicitors and helped move things forward; and they communicated between all parties really promptly. Sarah and Katie were superb at selling our house, from filling the empty house with virtual furniture , compiling a fantastic brochure of the property, regular updates and the big push to get the exchange of contracts over the line . The market was tough but you would not have known it, the place had a firm offer within 2 weeks going on the market with the street app showing us the updates through to settling on an even better offer than we were expecting. Estate agents doesn’t really cover what this team do, it’s way more than that, thank you Guys!

We were selling our apartment when market conditions were tough, with many properties going on to the market and fewer buyers. We felt it was important to choose a local estate agent with good knowledge of the local area. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice, with excellent marketing of our property and attention to detail in the brochure and with the professional photography. They were easy to communicate with, always answering the phone or getting straight back to us if we had a query. The Coastal House were a pleasure to deal with when I was looking for a new home in Dartmouth. Being very new to the area they were very helpful in helping me understand what I needed and were supportive and never pushey towards any particular property.
They went out of their way to allow me to view properties at short notice as I had a limited time to complete my search and this made all the difference. Both the Dartmouth and the Kingswear office are brilliant at following up, making recommendations and ultimately assisting with the purchase process.
I rather ambitiously aimed to complete before April back in early January and this has happened due to their relationship with the recommended solicitors and their willingness to chase and communicate between parties effectively.

Buying a house can be quite stressful (and unpredictable), but we can honestly say the team at The Coastal House (and in particular a special mention must go to Kelly) were helpful, supportive, friendly and professional during our recent purchase.
We viewed several properties in and around Dartmouth and the surrounding areas, with a few different estate agents, not all of which were positive experiences. In fact one of the other agents in Dartmouth were incredibly unprofessional and fairly loose with the truth.
After we had viewed the house, and had our offer accepted, The whole Coastal House team were fantastic, and have even offered further support since the purchase completed.

Bought and sold our house via Julie . No pressure at anytime - such a relief after the usual smiley corporate desperados aching to meet there quota/bonus. This is not a stooge write up by the way , Julie and one other agent came in with the right evaluation. They both had experience and acknowledged the amount of in depth work that our property had undergone. The rest of the agents ; I shake my head .
Bottom line is : she will assess , give you time to breathe and will hold back on pressure. This is not your usual estate agent .

For my particular properties, they understood the target market better than many of other local agents, and had offers within a very short period of time. Their marketing was spot on, under pinned by excellent photography, as well relevant information about its location, and the wider proposition / facilities that Dartmouth offers. The end result is always important, but even better when achieved through clear communication, and appropriate pragmatism as well.
