Had big issues with Gavin unfortunately. He was quite sarcastic and rude when it came to a first time buyer. Used derogatory phrases such as ‘When she would let me talk and would listen’. Ended up pulling the offer due to him personally. Said he would ring round other estate agents to check up on how they were able to work tenanted situations. Asked if he was on the radio due to our perfectly reasonable reactions.
Not the best customer service however Winston sounded amazing, unfortunate that I couldn’t work with him.
I’m sure the company is great but just unfortunate to have been put with Gavin.

I was going to see a flat for my friend because he lives far a away and he said to view for him on his behalf which I did and this agent named Winston was so rude before I even viewed it asking about pay, his work I said let us view it then we go the next stage but if not then no so he said we are wasting his time and blackmailed us by saying I’m never gonna let you or friend live in this flat and he said if ONLY HE will accept the offers and he was raising his voice at me and mrs, so RUDE SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND SO ARROGANT and abuse of power.

My property didn’t sell and I understand it is a difficult market right now. But whilst my property was advertised I didn’t hear much from the agents. I didn’t feel there was much effort put into selling the property, or trying different strategies. A call once a week would have been nice to understand how it was going, but I hardly heard from them and felt like I was more of an inconvenience because the property didn’t sell.

I am really disappointed, I had requested a viewing and they did it very well. Yesterday evening, I went for viewing and I confirmed the property is mine and the member of a team said ok we will do the formalities tomorrow and I need to inform Landlord. I chased today in the morning and I got a reply the property has gone, even without informing me. It was a really bad experience.
May be they are very good, there services are good, but they should think about the customer point of view as well because I was happy to get the property but suddenly they said no, its gone so it is a bit awkward.

These guys would literally go through fire for you whilst exceeding your expectations.
Could remember calling quite late in the night for an urgent assistance and these guys stayed up with me, got a maintenance person to come in and eventually solved the issue in a short period of time.

I worked on a development project in Luton and in the early stages invited VA Property Consultants (VA) for their suggestions on what will be marketable for both lettings and sale in that area which at the time I was unfamiliar with. I sought a property to rent for my family and then had a personal bereavement, meaning I could not move in straight away. Gavin played the middle man perfectly and smoothed things over with the landlord and was always friendly and understanding. He honestly helped me through a very traumatic experience, especially as I am new to the area. VA are lucky to have him. Thanks to Gavin and the rest of the VA team for excellent customer service! I was managing my property myself and then started to have issues with my tenant not paying rent. I contacted VA for some advise who were happy to help. As the process was proving difficult and causing a lot of stress and strain on my health, I had asked VA to take over the full management of my property. Called them in the morning for a flat in leagrave.
The agent zachary turner , called me when i was on my way ( uber) 10 min before to tell me that it does not have the key.
He also said that he s got another flat in town centre , i agree to meet him for viewing and also we agree that we will rent it .
After 4 hours he just text me and he said that someone else place the deposit.
We are really disappointed as we spend lots of money !

Had a viewing with one of the Letting agents yesterday totally unprepared,not approachable and unprofessional,asked a question as to why there is no sockets at the kitchen the answer was obviously it's been redecorated,like I would've known that,kept repeating that we should've read the advertise like he didn't wanted to give us any additional details,and more comprehensive description of the property.
Asked bout the EPC Energy and Counci tax bands the same answer u should've checked it onlain it's called Google u open it and check online.
I'm not an expert,but chatting on the phone and being rude when asked a question about the property is not the appropriate approach.
It was like we were interrupting some more important job he had to do(chatting on the phone),and had to squeeze every word out of his mouth.... wouldn't recommend at any point,he was even late for the appointment.

We bought our buy-to-let property via the VA team a few years ago and they have been brilliant until the exchange and completion of the property purchase. More recently we have gone back to them to project manage and carry out a major renovation work on the property. They have been very helpful, friendly, and yet very professional in the way they managed the whole thing for us specially during the peak of last year's pandemic time The project was executed with regular updates and communications. A massive thanks to Venessa and her team for this. After the successful completion of this project, we decided to let and manage the property via them. They have been doing an excellent job on this letting and management fronts too. We are very pleased with their service. All the VA staff are pleasant and approachable. We are glad that we have the property under their letting management.

I recently have been looking at a few letting agents to take on finding a new tenant and managing a property for us. VA stood out above the others for on a few counts:
* whilst making their first inspection, giving excellent advice on what was essential/ non-essential works
* arranging connection with trades for immediate works
* offering fair pricing and 24 hour on-call for tenants
Gavin was most helpful and attentive when preparing the pictures and the listing. And last but not least, we were impressed when we had viewings booked immediately and a holding deposit taken from a prospective tenant within the first 24 hours since listing. One week later, reference checks complete with flying colours, and our tenant is moved in. We are very happy!

I have received a very poor service from the staff at V A Consultants. Many of the staff members are unprofessional and rather rude. If you are a landlord and you want peace of mind, avoid dealing with V A Property Consultants altogether. There are hidden charges that are sprung on you at the last minute. This company does not care about customer service what so ever. I am very disappointed by the service and the attitude of the Owner.

I signed a contract with the company saying I only need to pay for electricity and they also sent me a mail but when I contacted thme when other bills started coming in my name, they refused to reply my mail and when I managed to get them on the phone. I was told to contact the landlord meaning, it's none of their business.

Although they found a tenant quickly I found that the service they provided was not to standard.I opted for the guaranteed rent scheme, however, rent was not paid within good time despite me being guaranteed the rent. The agent would state "the tenant has not paid yet". They are not good at communicating. I personally would NOT use them again.

Very poor service as a tenant, they withheld our rent numerous times from the landlord and tried to make out we weren't paying our rent and chasing is, when we said we'll complain low and behold the rent magically appeared! Repairs reported numerous times, yet nothing done for the 3yrs we've been renting, have to boil kettle to wash up or face a flood at our feet!!

* you are one of the worst company which I ever had to dealt with it. I think you trading reviews is a very bad and dangerous practice and you should be careful of this.
• Frome the beggining you were unprofessional when you ask us not to move in the property, despite the fact we paid everything in full (deposit, rent, fee etc);
• Shame on you that you lie in such way when you're saying that 'I breach the contract'. On what earth I breached a contract, can you give a more accurate example? Oo, sorry I know: I breach in the way that I never created a problem and I pay regularly the rent.
• Don't forget how rude you were during the ending of the tenancing, with the final report. The most annoying thing is that even after 3 months of moving out the property, we still have to deal wiht bits and bobs that you couldn't sort it out.
* The Landlord was absolutely 10/10, but the estate agent 1/10.
Even 1 star is too much for this amateur agency. Couldn't sort any of our problems, can't listen to our problems and always tried to speak over you to try to cover and then accuse that you shout on them.
Got a warning issue for the boiler certificate when it was service in August 2018, now the technician who serviced it again didn't sign it off again because it was too dangerous. When I explained this to the agency (Health and Safety Issues) they've said would never put our life to risk, but this just happened every day in the past year.
The agency didn't bother to move a finger to change the boiler, they keep saying it's a big expenditure for the landlord. When a very basic facility become a big expenditure... It's the same like when you have a hole into the fuel tank of your car. "Big expenditure..."
Now we don't have hot water in the house at all, so no facilities. Keep paying the rent as usual for BASIC facilities that we don't have.
Poor communication from agency, lack of interest, rude people, PLEASE STAY AWAY from them!!!

Unpleasant experience with this agency. I saw a house, i had to wait a week to give me a negative answer. I had a new appointment for another house.
All good and beautiful, i take a day off from work to go and see the house, but when i get to the location they are late to appear, so i choose to call them. The surprise was to find out that the house is no longer available for rent, but they forgot to announce me. In conclusion, i drive 70 miles plus a day off, where i lost money, because they don't have the good sense to announce when the property is no longer valid.

The reason i gave 1 star to this agency was the unprofessional way me and my boyfriend were treated. We were interested in renting a house, gave them a call and arranged a viewing. We loved the house, however there was a bed in the living room which we asked if it could be removed before we moved in, and Simon (the agent) said yes. So far so good, we paid everything we needed to pay for and on the day we were told we could move in things started going really bad. We go to the agency to sign the contract and get the keys and when we get to the house the bed was still there, the heating wasn't working, there was no electricity whatsoever.... Worst of all, Simon was at the agency when we signed the contract and didn't even care to bother telling how the house was. Also I found out that the electricity meter was on my neighbour's lot! So if the power went off or something and the neighbour wasn't home, I would have to sit in the dark and wait for them? I felt wronged. When we went back to agency to complain about how the house was, one of the agents started laughing! Also the landlord was a joke, didn't care about us at all. We asked several times if he could go to the house or send someone to fix everything so we could move in and he would just throw us a date and do nothing. Just empty promisses.

Unprofessional Time wasters! if you are a tenant avoid VA! all they need is your referencing fee ( hope government bill will pass and ban this rip off system) , They lie to your face and waste your time.. even they will encourage withdraw your application then they can keep your holding deposit as well. if you are a landlord use online agents ( eg: Imtheagent, Openrent) you will save lot of money £££ and receive same service.

no receipt given for rent payment made over a week ago. I asked for my personal information held as per my legal right on 23rd September and I'm still waiting.
They are the definition of cowboy outfit and now have to take them to court to get back my deposit and compensation for not securing it.

Va property have been managing my property for over 6 yrs and I most say its been so good that I haven't been to my property for over 4yrs because the service gives me peace of mind. The charges are value for money because I am always kept informed of everything happening at the property.
The profile of the tenants are scrutinised making sure they are people that can afford the rent and thorough checks are carried out. Va property always have my interest and they make sure that charges for any repair work is reasonable and not over priced. As a landlord peace of mind that a letting agent has your interest at heart is important because there are alot of cheap cowboys out there. Keep up the good work

I have used VA Property Services and dealt with Venessa for 8 years, during which time she has managed two properties for me and sold one of them. I have always been very happy with the service, and in particular with her great work managing a very difficult situation with one particular tenant. This tenant was self-employed and had irregular income, and I understand was being pursued by various creditors. Venessa’s patience and great diplomatic skills were critical in ensuring that in 4 years not a single payment was missed. These same qualities also ensured that these same difficult tenants left after protracted discussions, without recourse to the courts having paid their rent in full. I would not have been able to achieve this outcome myself, and have no hesitation in recommending Venessa and VA.

Disorganised to the point of incompetence. They took us to view a property *twice* without informing the current tenants that we were coming (luckily they were still OK with letting us look round). They couldn't answer basic questions such as "how much is the deposit?", "who manages the property?".
Once we had chosen a property to let they dragged their feet over the paperwork, and didn't keep us informed of what was going on. Three of us work together, but instead of getting our references all together, they got in touch three separate times - and on different days! Four days before we were supposed to move in they woke up a bit and started asking us to chase our references to send things back to them quickly; it turned out they hadn't actually yet been in touch with several of the references, despite having had two weeks to do so. Why are we paying a £90 admin fee per person for this??
