Bought a property from Northwood. Best experience I could've asked for. Previously dealing with Haart, the purchase fell through over 5 long months. With Northwood, the process was done and dusted in under 3 months, start to finish.
I had constant communication with the whole team, especially Ela who updated me via email the whole way. Any issues with the property were swiftly dealt with.
I would wholeheartedly recommend buying and selling with Northwood. If the time comes to move house, will not hesitate to get in touch with these guys

If every estate agent was like Luton branch of Northwood, estate agents wouldn’t have a negative reputation! We rent an older property, so have had numerous issues to report over the years. Not only is there always a prompt response, but also genuine concern, evidenced by follow-up calls until the problem has been resolved. My wife and I have had dealings with each member of the lettings team. Without exception, staff are courteous, friendly—and efficient. We get the impression that a happy atmosphere prevails in the office. Having recently met the manager, we think we know why!

Once I moved into my new home, the support from Northwood didn't stop. Any maintenance issues were promptly dealt with, and they consistently checked in to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. Their dedication to ensuring a comfortable living environment truly sets them apart.
Overall, I cannot recommend Northwood highly enough.

1 star is too much for this place.
We were meant to be having someone come round to tell us formally about the landlady selling the house and us having to move, which is a sensitive subject and we’re absolutely gutted we have to move. Anyway, next thing you know 10 people show up to the property we are currently renting and a whole family and start viewing our property and not to mention no estate agents. This is absolutely disgraceful and disrespectful, I am fuming. Listen to all the 1 star reviews and don’t go to this estate agent.

0 STARS STAY AWAY! Find some where else to rent from. No support for tenants such as repairs involving property such as no heating and hot water also problems with mice and when landlord wants house back you get evicted. As a customer to Northwood you’d believe they’d offer some kind of help towards alternative housing but no they put you to back of the queue and force you out. Then you are slapped with a no deposit return and invoice to remove furniture as were given no help/time by the agents to actually move or find another property. Sickening how they treat people.

Northwood is cheater they are taking holding deposit and rejecting applications because of small
Reasons and finding reasons to reject the application.
I lost my holding deposit they didn’t even informed by email regarding the holding fee deduction prior to the procedure.
I think this is the first agency taking holding deposits when application rejection happen.
Northwood suppose to take only few charges that would be reasonable price .
I am so frustrated.

Ignore the bad reviews you see, I'm an estate agent my self and I was skeptical because of them but Northwoods were amazing. Communication was 10/10 and we got sale agreed tied up and completed within a month and a half during the Christmas Period! 5*

In may 2020 I had a problem with a central heating, and this was fixed in 3 weeks time (after contacting Enviromental Health Agency at LBC), which is completly below any standards.
For Polish speaking people, be careful, even though there is a Pole working in the agency, you will still have more trouble, ranging from denying repairs and refusing them to administrative problems. This is one of the worst agencies I have dealt with in the UK.

Avoid at all cost! Absolutely useless and incompetent staff. They booked me for a viewing at 10.45 and cancelled 15 minutes before after I had travelled 2 hours to the place. They then rearranged to 1pm. I arrive at the property and no one is there. No phone calls or contact number given and the office closes at 1. Called the building manager who wasn't even aware of a viewing.
Very poor customer service and communication. They really don't care about their customers

Great Management company. I work for Penrose Estate Agents and had a leak coming in from the property above (Northwood property) and Northwood sent a plumber out to the property above to source and stop the leak the SAME DAY. Kira has been an amazing help with keeping us updated with works and arranging for repairs to be arranged.

We were previously looking at this estate agent as we are looking to move but now we refuse due to their disgusting behaviour! I have a flat basically next door to their building and pay £160 a month to park by here. Upon arriving home from my 13 hour night shift on in extremely busy hospital department, I pulled up on the public land at the back of their property to wait for my partner who I had to take for an appointment. While waiting, an extremely rude member of their staff informed me I was in someone’s parking space despite there not being spaces marked out and no signs anywhere? To add to this, there was plenty of spare room to park. Too tired to argue I politely moved out of the way and waited in my car for my partner to come out. After waiting for a couple minutes I pulled up out of the way, in front of the gates of another business that I knew was not yet open to run inside my flat and see what the hold up was. As I arrived inside my flat my partner was ready to leave but we decided to wait and two women came out and started to show disgusting behaviour for grown adults who are meant to be representing a company. We filmed these individuals use some sort of spray to stick multiple unnecessary notices to my car. I understand if they want to park there but one note under the windscreen wiper would be sufficient; vandalism was unnecessary! The notes stated that the land was private property and they pay to park there but since it’s a back alley with not signage I decided to investigate these claims and have been informed by the council it is public land and not owned by any business. Therefore, I believe their behaviour was childish and not what a respectable business should be doing. The note also stated that my parking several metres away from any of their buildings, property and vehicles was affecting their business, but I find it more believable that it’s the unprofessional and childish employees they have vandalising and smoking out the front of the building, in front of potential customers, the issue with their business. I liked to think this was an okay company but now I refuse to give them any acknowledgement due to their rude, lying and unprofessional staff. The vandalism on my car caused damage that needed paying for as the spray they used would not come off and glass will have to be replaced. I have reported their behaviour and the appropriate measures are being investigated and hopefully put in place so I can claim back the money I’ve lost and show them the consequences of their actions. Whether they take this seriously or not is unlikely as it seems to be a bunch of children working there!

I am not a tenant of theirs, and that i thank our lord for, today i recieved a telephone call from my housing manager, she voiced concerns, solely based on what someone at Northwood said, the dwelling above me has had squatters resident there, this is the type of agency that doesn't care as long as the rent is paid, i constantly complained about the behaviour of the 4 squatters they had in and they wouldnt even respond to my emails and messages, the squatters had the cheek to use my allocated parking space too, i sent them photographs with repeated requests for action, and at times the frustration got to me, so my words and language weren't always polite, but what did it matter anyway, they never responded to me directly!
Instead, the "snakes" breached all codes of conduct laid down by the property ombudsman, instead of replying to my emails, or dealing with their squatters, THE PRIMARY PROBLEM, they decided to attack THE SECONDARY problem instead, Me!
They called my Landlord and accused me of all sorts of crazy stuff, they have great imaginations i can tell you this much, i didnt know whether to laugh or get angry, they told my landlord a complete pack of lies, in order to have me removed or to get me into trouble in some way.
Unfortunately for Northwood it is plain and simple "spitefulness", everything i accused them of turned out to be the case, they made frivolous, libelous, malicious and improper accusations without a scrap of evidence or a witness, they even tried to pretend that one of their own agents was put off as a prospective tenant in a bid to cause me grief, lol ????
My advice would be to avoid at all costs, they have shown me a ruthless, dishonest side, and i certainly wouldnt want them as my landlord, especially if you upset them, my advice is to find a reputable agency that doesnt have all these negative comments!

1 star is too high for this disgrace of an agency. Northwood agency are abysmal; they lack any decency, or compassion.
Moving Into a shabby 3 bed student accommodation, it was safe to say we weren’t filled with Optimism - frequently incurring problems around the house. We found that Northwood were incredibly slow at replying to our messages informing them of our troubles. The washing machine broke down 3 times, and after numerous phone calls and exchanges of emails, it took a whole 2 weeks to get it fixed. Our property manager, Katrina, was an incredibly monotous, cold-hearted character who will offer you no additional help should you require it. Upon moving in, we were only given 3 keys, 2 for the backdoor and 1 for the front door. This represents a tremendous fire hazard, not having the necessary keys each to escape should an emergency occur, however informing Northwood, it took a whole 2 months to cut keys for the front door despite them having numerous spare sets.
This is only a taster of the issues you will face if you decide to use Northwood agency. They will attempt to keep your deposit by finding faults in the most minuscule areas, such as charges for bad quality duvets even though no one used them. They are a disgraceful agency and if you want any taste of decency, avoid the disaster of a business at all costs
