I have a recent experience with krystian celmierowski at Luton town centre branch, showing me properties for rent. Krystian is very professional and understanding. However I am still in the process of renting so can't share my whole experience but definitely a 5 stars for Krystian's professionalism and understanding. I am been calling him 2-3 times a day and sending him emails and he is always there to assist me. A true credit to represent the Connells.

I was dealing with Sameera, and although things didn't go our way, she was very helpful. If you can, try getting her to help when it comes to renting a property. Everyone else there who was helping me I found very useless. I didn't get my deposit back, despite it saying so on the contract, and I was left with no apartment or anything. I honestly wouldn't recommend Connells, but if you are to go ahead with them, ask for Sameera.

I have been moved around many cities and rented many flat. I would say this place is the worst agent I ever have. It took them more than 6 month to return my deposit. They have a very complicated system that I have to chase among people in different department in this agent.
For both landlord and who looking for renting, keep away from this agent as possible.

Mortgage experience!
We used Connells to get the mortgage to buy out first home. Fantastic services provided through every step from start to finish by our mortgage broker Bradley Stace-Wood. As first time buyers everything was explained to us very clearly and the speed at which the mortgage offer came was very impressive.
We found Bradley very efficient , approachable and someone who genuinely cares and goes above and beyond.

Myself and my partner recently rented out our first property with Connells Luton and have to say it was a pleasure dealing with them .
Marco and his team were fantastic through the whole process, keeping us informed and answering any questions we had.
They updated us on the progress and viewings on a daily basis. Was a pleasure dealing with them. It took all the stress and worry out of the process completely for us .

I rated Connells with 5 stars as their LETTING's Agents within 1 week of seeing my property, found me tenants, kept me informed with phone calls and emails that everything was running smoothly and within 3 weeks the tenants were all moved in with all paperwork signed. Special Thanks goes to Marco, Donna and Saqib from Lettings. They made renting with Connells really easy and I would definitely recommend this company and will be using them again.

Absolutely the most useless lettings agent I’ve ever come across. They need to be shut down. Or at least the employees need to go back into training. I used to let 2 of my properties with them. I had more problems with James (lettings agent) than my actual tenants. I laughed when I read all the similar reviews on here. Not at all surprised. Anyone reading. Please go to Abbey Properties and see Nihal. Incredible estate agents in Luton. Connells will grab your money and run… never again

UPDATE - had to to raise a dispute through the Tenancy Deposit Scheme to recover our deposit a month and a half after vacating.

In the last couple of months its been impossible to get through to them its as though my number has been blacklisted. Everytime I call the phone is never answered but when I call with a private number somehow they are able to pick up. I've complained serval times to them in private about cancelling most of my veiwings at the last minute it seems very intentional in their behaviour and just basically very unprofessional all the way round. Given up on them, if I can't see simple viewings, only God knows what hell one must go through to get to the end of the buying process.

We waited for 4 months,we did all the papers.We did the mortgage principles,we’ve been accepted.And than God know what happened because they gave the house to someone else.We pâté the lawyer,we paid the wills and than no refund.Since we start talking with the agent Gourav Gupta he was lying from the beginning.Once you’ve been accepted,once you’re not accepted.What broker calls you with camera?What broker do something like this to a young couple who wants to buy a house?Just Connels Estate Agents.As a first time buyer I had the worse experience ever had in my entire life.

Generally awful service - extremely slow replies, at times no replies at all. error emails sent our regarding delayed rent payments which were later found to be completely inaccurate. Lack of basic level of customer service.
Overall the service has been terrible until Mica began to deal with my enquiries. Mica showed top quality customer service, speedy and accurate responses as well as ensuring that my experience went smoothly.
Thank you again Mica - you have slightly turned my perspective around!

Most useless estate agents in Luton; tried few times to book viewings for different properties. Last week called them first thing in the morning to arrange a viewing for a property; the lady on the phone said somebody will give me a call. Waited until 2 pm called again and got the same answer. Called at 4 pm and then a gentleman attended the phone beside assuring him that I have all the financial document to show before making any offer but still he was not ready to show me the property. Insisting that the property has already a higher offer and will only show me property if I agree higher price without viewing. Waste of time.

I chosen one star because it’s the low we can give.
Me and my wife were trying to have a property and were trying our best to bring all the documents in.
In the meantime we were trying to contact the manager of the agency to see if everything was setup for us to get the flat and double check once again if the flat would be ours however he literally ignore our calls and emails for 2 weeks.
After 1 week close to date that it was supposed we to move in he replied changing details.Saying the flat wasn’t ours yet.
Now me and my wife can’t get the property and they don’t want give us the deposit back.
Also we don’t know where to go now and we lost the deposit all because of unprofessionalism and disregard

Then I called on the 4th they said is still not available until the 29th of January. I checked on the website and the property was let. Not professionals at all.

Connells Estate has been hugely frustrating to deal with when trying to get my deposit back, it took nearly 3 months to eventually get it back. Even when calling them they would say they would get back but never did, plus they would advice you to speak to a different department after chasing them as they would eventually say they can't help any longer, yet some of the employees didn't even know the number of the department to contact and advised to google it.
There was one lady who did help at the end and was very helpful
The experience of getting back my own money was extremely frustrating and I would not recommend using them, it's amazing that when they are asking for the money they are very easy to deal with however when you ask for your deposit back you have to go through such a headache.
Beware if you don't want to go through all of this hassle to get back your hard earned money which you would never think would be this difficult like a battle to get back. Highly recommend against.

Do not let them manage your properties they are absolutely useless. Rent was late several times they did not bother contacting the tennants it was me chasing up even though I was paying for full managed service. Some staff were nice but the majority are not. They don't bother calling you back after an query. I've also been emailing for weeks and no response, basic customer service. They changed my property coordinator without telling me who I then found out was Ryan Massey, to me I think he never existed as he never once contacted me on a issue. They have also lost my keys which is unbelievable a whole bunch of 5 keys missing, I shall be sending a invoice for my missing keys now bit concerned as my property keys could be anywhere. I am also missing some money which they held onto and still not refunded. I had several more properties which I wanted to bring across but after this experience I will never.

I drove all the way from Cambridge to Luton for a viewing. I waited outside the property no one turned up.I knocked at to the door only from for the Tenant to tell me she had Covid Symptoms and had cancelled the viewing.
When I called Connell's to one of the male employees lied to me that Zoe had tried to call me four times. I had no missed calls, no texts, no voice messages and no email.

Do not follow the positive reviews as they are all being manipulated and have been left by people who have been paid. There’s is no doubt in saying that Harry, Zoe and James are con artists and have been letting out properties with dodgy background checks. They have accepted people on properties in exchange of money. James has also been involved in property management team at Leighton Buzzard who have changed landlords accounts and kept deposits illegally. Again, do not believe any 5 star reviews and stay away from this branch.

Total waste of time specially Harry and Zoe are specialist con artists. They will scam you before you know it and make you pay for services you won’t need. They kept my deposit and took their deposit for over 4 years of tenancy and never told me about it. I only found out when I came to the end of tenancy. James, Zoe and Harry are the most reluctant and unreliable people at this branch. They would sound extremely helpful over the phone but in reality they are completely opposite. The moment you question their integrity and ask them about tenant’s background check not being performed, they would pass the blame to each other. Specially James is very incompetent and unprofessional person and I don’t understand who made him in charge of the premises. Don’t believe a word they say and look elsewhere for all your letting needs. Again do not use connells and do not agree anything with Harry or Zoe. They are bunch of liars and will con you out of your money.

Harry is extremely incompetent chap and so as their very member of staff. This branch must be the most hated in the local community. Starting from James, Zoe and Harry, every person will tell you their own version of story. Lost money when letting out my property and they didn’t manage properly and ending me costing my own insurance to pay for their irresponsible attitude towards my property. I’m never giving my property to Connells again specially when staff is rude and unhelpful. I have gone with Giggs & Bell instead, they are far better than people who have no interest in their job at connells and just sitting there passing their time. They are being paid for something that they all can’t deliver. Shame on you all for allowing this to happen to my property and James had guts to say that ok do whatever you can do. Nasty people with no work ethics.

My partner and I have recently secured a flat through Connells and we couldn't reccommend them enough. From arranging the viewing to his support through all of the formalities, Kieran has gone above and beyond for us at every stage of the process. He is incredibly responsive and has not hesitated to answer any questions that we've had. We noted at the start of the process that we preferred a quick move due to work committments and Kieran managed to have everything on his side sorted in only a week! Only helpful till they have their contract with you. Other than that they take forever to put requests through. We've had to go through our landlord several time because of Connells incompetence.
Our landlord gets the job done faster once we get in touch with him.
Connells also lied to us our landlord wants to increase our rent and told him vise versa.
Always check with your landlords. These guys are sneaky and try to mess things up all the time. Absolutely useless!

Absolutely awful experience, took them 2 days to call me back, then they did not know why they were asked to call me, then guy did not listen to my questions and started talking out of sense (not answering what I was asking about at all) so I told him I was terminating the call. Also, eight years ago I purchased property via them - there were 3 viewings and they never, not once, went with me to the property (!) What are they charging for I I have no clue cose this is the worst service I ever experienced. Avoid !

Called on Wednesday, property is gone.

The absolute worst letting agency i’ve ever had to deal with. The landlord who let the flat to me via connells, ended up taking the flat from them and privately managed himself.
I had confidential information sent to me from them for another tenant, everything from their driving licence to their bank details, when i told them, they shrugged their shoulders. I first let from them in 2014, never returned after leaving them in 2017. Thank god.

They found us a tenant in a matter of days and all paperwork completed with the tenant moving in today (27 Feb 2020). The turnaround has been exceptional, Ben has been incredibly attentive and has been amazingly professional and personable throughout this quick process. Will 100% be using Connells for further properties that I purchase in the area and for the cheap cost of their services, would very highly recommend using Connells to others. I have used several estate agents for the various properties in my BTL portfolio but the experience with Connells has been the best.
Zoe (the staff who related with me) was exceptional, very professional and friendly, she handled the let of my flat (at Arrowhead house) from inception of the process when I called to make enquiries.
She found suitable tenant within a week and was always carrying me along throughout the process and promptly responded to all queries.
I would definitely recommend her for an award because she made the whole process look very easy though I know it's not always the case with many other estate agencies.

Saw a 5 bed house on their website that would be suitable for my family (me, my mum, sister, brother and my baby) They asked if we we were all working which I responded yes and then asked what is our combined salary and few further questions ect. you We had a viewing arrange for today at 10.30am, I then received a call from the agent at 9am saying that they had to rearrange as the landlord was not available any longer due to work commitments and that they would give me a call back one they spoke to the landlord to find an alternative date. It all seemed a bit weird, so I got my friend to give a call to the agents enquiring about the same house but told him to say that it was for himself, wife and 2 children, the agent again asked a few similar questions to the ones I was asked on the phone. She then straightaway responded and said that the landlord is at the propert now and if he could possibly come i. today. THE SAME DAY ThAT I WAS SUPPOSE TO COME! meaning that they lied on the phone call with myself this morning and had no intention to call and rearrange.
It’s disgusting that they are discriminating and choosing tenants based on the conventional family unit or whatever suits them.
Would not advise to go with this estate agents a bunch of liars and stuck up .

I had a superb experience renting a property through Connells Estate Agents in Luton (with Marco Failla). Getting the right property was crucial to me, for various reasons (as all house-hunters would say!).
Initially I had booked a viewing for another property when Marco approached me with another proposition (newly available) that was better suited. He was right and I was sold within the first minute of entering the property.
The necessary paperwork was swiftly attended to and a week later I was moving in. During the process, I found that Marco is aware of and attentive to the requirements of his clients (I do ask a myriad of questions, which he very patiently answered). And of course, it always takes a team to deliver and so I would like to say a big thank you for Donna for getting the necessary documents across to me (and for visibly sharing in my joy in celebrating the end of a house-hunting search).

Connells’s experience was great, the only con is that the fees are a little bit expensive, but for finding the right home definitely is worthing it.

Very bad experience, they are very fast to get your paper work done and get their money from you but once the contract is finished they very stubborn to pay your deposit back. They make issues without any reason and if you are nice person they will get advantage of you. very very bad experience this is my last contract with them once this is finished i will never go back to them. i will give them -5 stars once they get their money then they will make you cry on your own money to get it back. they will literally make you cry. and somehow get you to a ground that you will say OK lets make a deal they are good dealer to make money. but i wont

They signed the tenancy agreement instead of us, didn't send inventory just a month after we moved in because we were complaining. Not helpful at all, cannot get hold of the landlord. They promised many things and nothing happened. Still waiting for the gardener after 6 month. We had to show the property to the viewings because the agent didn't turned up. 17 day after moving out still haven't seen the inventory and no news about our deposit.... Avoid them!!!!!

Be careful with "James" worst liar in this office. had no cooker working from day 1, the scumbag of James was aware of it, he didn't mention until after his commission was paid. Left 3 days without the ability to cook food in the property, rang up the mug and was told to "eat takeaway". Rent from a different company!!!

If u are planning to choose Connells for your next property purchase, i would highly recommend you to steer away from these time wasters.
Staff doesn't seem to care for their clients and are very unprofessional in their dealings with little or no knowledge.
I have called their offices numerous times but i never get a call back from them. Staff is always on their breaks, busy with someone else or don't attend the phone calls. They always promise to call back but never do.
Complete time wasters. Part of this has to do with poor communication and management.
Going to complain to the head office as well.

I am very happy with the service provided by Connells, I was previously with a different agency who couldn't find a tenant even after 10 weeks, whereas after switching to Connells, Ben and his team found a great tenant within 1 week. Most unprofessional business people that I have ever come across they used school children as sales people barely out of school and sitting in rows as you would in school,wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy as they have had no training it would seem as to behave one saving grace was that they have a good administrator at the Stopsley branch who looks after 4 different branches and is completely bogged down with work the only way that we got to completion was to go into the agent's every day to bug day and wait while they made calls, our solicitors said that they had never come across what she described what she considered as a relatively easy sale,the purchaser's who were being blamed it appeared after speaking to them that it was the agent's causing the problem and nobody else.
Would definitely not recommend anyone to use this agent and their head office and managing director should be ashamed as to how the company was run,bearing in mind that it was us who showed the buyers around they still decided to charge the same commission making some excuse about somebody being off sick but still they insisted that we paid the same rate,only needed to put a board up ourselves instead of trusting connells branches who probably operate the same in all of their branches,we would have saved ourselves £7000.00 in closing I should warn potential vendors to choose a smaller and more professional agent who is reliant on being both professional to vendors and purchaser's anybody thinking about selling through connells I would AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!
