Vale & Marsh have provided me (as a landlord) with excellent service for the last 10 years and before that (as a tenant) for 6 months. I have recently re let my property and all the paperwork has been done in about 2 weeks which is the short period after the previous tenant left. In addition Caroline has organised some minor plumbing and electrical work in that period and I am still using the same decorator that they introduced me to 10 years ago.... Read more

My first contact with the office was with a bubbly lady called Iris, whom I know I gave a difficult time pleading to for an already very tightly booked viewing day. I feel without her efforts asking Andrew to somehow fit us in, we wouldn’t be in this happy position now! So thank you Iris.....as for Andrew, what can I say.....what an asset to your team. Searching for a property can often be a difficult and frustrating experience fraught with stress -- but this is emphatically not the case with Weald Property. I have been struck by how professional, helpful and responsive everybody I have spoken to has been. Caroline, who gave me a tour of a property in Rolvenden, is a credit to this company. She was friendly, approachable and informative from beginning to end. My partner and I have been pleasantly surprised with how professional, approachable and friendly the team at Weald Property are. Having a negative experience before hand with a different estate agents, it was a relief to be kept so involved and informed the whole way throughout the renting process. Chloe is always happy to answer any of our questions, no matter how small, and she always replies in a friendly manner. This has taken away a lot of stress and anxiety for us and we’re always being kept in the loop. When viewing the flat Andrew was very approachable, and we felt comfortable asking him lots of questions. We have been in our new home for a couple of months now and I have kept meaning to post a review for Weald Property - finally I've got around to it. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Alex. Perhaps because it is a small local firm rather than a national chain you definitely get a more personalised service. We were given his mobile number at the first meeting and he was always available on it whenever we needed to talk over the following months. Beware other agencies that send out quite impressive and knowledgeable branch managers for initial meetings but who then disappear off the face of the earth. With Alex you get personal involvement and commitment from the owner of the business. It was this accessibility combined with his hands on approach that allowed us to secure our dream home in what was a pretty difficult chain to navigate. There were any number of opportunities for the deal to fall through - in many ways I'm amazed it didn't. We have just had the most shocking experience with these people, headed up by man called Alex Norwood Hill. Be warned this guy is as devious as a sack full of ferrets and an unrepentant liar into the bargain. Do not attempt to come to any buying arrangement whatsoever with him unless you are sitting in his office watching him putting it in writing and watching him taking the property down off the various web sites on which they advertise. Anything he tells you on the phone can safely be disregarded. But if you take my advice, give this firm a very wide berth in order to avoid bitter disappointment and financial loss. At the outset he recommended we put in an initial offer that was £30,000 below asking price! If I had been the seller I would have been fit to be tied. Once our final offer was accepted he set about using it as leverage to jack up another possible vendor. He promised acceptance of our offer in writing and then failed to deliver, deliberately playing for time to see if he could screw another few grand out of the other possible buyer who viewed the property AFTER our offer had been accepted. Never again. If these people had the last property available for sale on earth, and I wanted it, I would sooner live in a tent than risk trying to buy through them.... Read more
