Overall I had a good experience with them. Kirsty, Karolina and Sam where the people involved in my buying process, they where very helpful, answered my question and replied to my messages quite fast. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is to get the solicitors they recommend. The worst decision we made when buying our first house. Just do your research and find solicitors yourself. They wouldn't reply to your messages and now, two weeks after completion I'm still waiting for some bits and pieces of documents from them.

I dealt with William H Brown as they were the estate agents listing the property me and my partner just moved into. Along the whole process I was dealing with an agent called Kirsty, she was very polite and responsive to any queries I had. She was also on top when it came to hassling the solicitors so we didn’t have to which was very appreciated. When talking to her over the phone and Email she certainly has a personality to her which is nice to see. Overall I had a pleasant experience dealing with WHB at this branch and would recommend to anyone. Thank you Kirsty!!

Absolutely disappointed with the service from Karolina. I reached out multiple times from March 9th onwards regarding my interest in purchasing an HMO property. I have purchased property through William H Brown March before, and am a legitimate buyer. Despite my efforts, including numerous emails and returning calls, my inquiries were consistently ignored. I explicitly stated my preference for email communication due to my working hours, but this was completely disregarded. Even after expressing legitimate concerns about the property and pointing out discrepancies in the listing, I received no response. It's evident that they are overwhelmed with property sales, but their lack of customer service is unacceptable. Extremely disappointed with the experience.

Sarah from Wisbech office was just the best, helpful, friendly and nothing was too much bother from start to finish. She helped us rent our dream home in just 2 weeks! Would trust them to help us next time. No offence though hope it's not for a long time yet! Sarah you earn your yellow roses and more.
After on 14 months in this home, due to land lord selling up Ross Stannard from Wisbech office was on the ball for us with in 24 hours to help find us somewhere to go... not an easy task with us having two dogs. Most say pets considered but turn out not too. Ross stuck up for us and has held our hands all the way through a very trying and emotional time. Nothing more stressful the possibly becoming homes less and having no options when you have dogs. Don't know how I would have kept my mind if not for Ross.

First experience of estate agents, selling the family home. All positive: very prompt and efficient, and we had our first viewing arranged before the property was even officially on the market. We lost our first buyer thanks to the Truss/Kwarteng mini-budget which was a blow, but the firm were quick to find us more viewings (and offers), and we have just completed on our second accepted offer. Paul Nobbs gave excellent advice and kept our spirits up through a difficult sale. A special mention also to Kirsty Young (our progressor) who was brilliant. We had a lot of struggles with both our and our Buyers' conveyancers, and Kirsty really helped keep things moving. Every single time she said she'd do something, it was done to the letter and exactly on time.

There is a long list of incompetence, but the most dangerous lack of professionalism was leaving me living in severe damp, with spores along the whole length of the living room wall, parts of the kitchen, hallway, bathroom and bedroom. I was left breathing this in due to funds not being available to fix the hole in the roof I made them aware of as soon as I moved in. It took 18 months for it to be fixed! During the work, my ceilings came in. I had to find my own accommodation for the week the house was uninhabitable. I came home to a building site I had to sort myself.
On vacating the property, I was accused of making the damp as bad as it was, and that I owe them HUNDREDS of pounds.
Currently in the process of taking legal action.
I would deal with these people with caution!

Once they had all my upfront rent and fees they were very slow(poor service) rectifying the problems with the property.appointments made by agency and then no one turns up. Staff are clueless when it comes to rental property legislation.
Was even told that no boiler check was needed as it's oil fired central heating.

Sarah Townshend really extended herself to help me get this flat. Against extreme challenges from their referencing people (because I had lived outside the UK for many years and had no credit record) she hung in there and eventually secured the lease. To Sarah, I give 5 stars. However, an error on the listing left me without a washing machine, and this was not resolved; I had to buy my own. Additionally the fridge was missing a shelf for the inner door, and the freezer door was broken off, so that the freezer compartment iced up so solid I could not remove my frozen foods at all; I had the fridge turned down as low as it could go without the ice melting into the fridge - as it was, everything in the fridge was swimming in water. All this info was sent through to another member of staff, but nothing was done to help that situation either, so I had to get my own fridge and freezer. Thuus from a flat listed with washer/drier and fridge, I have gone to getting my own appliances, at my own expense, thus far. So I have only marked 4 stars. I would have gone to three, but don't want to detract from Sarah Townshend's efforts.

Absolutely appalling .It took them 10 days to realise that documents had been provided ,in order to list it .Their description was dreadful ,I had to write it myself for them.They lost so many staff there were only 2 staff manning the Office ,no one answered the phones or emails .Their Openrach went down ,it was not possible to phone or email them .They were unable to access the files according to a recorded member of staff . They had no idea which property nor where it was ,nor that they had a key .
I also gave offers for WHBrown March for 2 properties , on 1 development ,no one answered the phone ,the staff were surly ,after a month I phoned to ask what happened regards the 2 offers,they asked a junior to phone me because they had no idea .So buying and selling appears to be a problem with both Offices .I then viewed another property tthrough another Office , they then told my secretary ,well it is on our books but it is not actually for sale ? Waste of time perhaps? I suggest using any other Agent would be an improvement . I insisted I receive a letter the contract was terminated due to the sheer non professional behaviour .They duly complied .

They seemed very friendly at first, but then the service level stalled, and eventually crashed.
Firstly I asked to see a house, and it took them ages to get me a viewing. Then they recommended another property to view (as I was coming from London). The house looked dodgy, so I asked about the area. I was told it was a lovely area. It wasn't. Even the agent showing me the house wondered why I wanted to look there.
I then offered on the house i initially saw, and was then pressured to use their mortgage broker. I was told that I would 'have a better chance of getting the house' if I used them. I didn't want to use them, as I already had a trusted broker. My offer was not accepted, and they didn't even bother to tell me. When I called them they were all full of excuses.
I eventually got tired of the bad service, lies and manipulation. I ended up ruling Wisbech out entirely, as these agents had most properties. I bought in Peterborough instead.
I can't recommend William H Brown after that service (or lack thereof).

Went to view a property and the estate agent firstly couldn’t find where the property was. Every question was met with “I don’t know you’ll have to ask in the office”. Basically the agent was there to simply open and lock the door. Very disrespectful as taken time out of our day to view a property and the agent couldn’t tell us anything about it.

Absolutely shocking, had good service from Rhiannon 3 years ago when we were looking for amd found the property,, but ever since the service has been appauling, constantly having to chase them if issues arise, they speak to the landlord but then never update us. Latest episode, reporting a wasps nest 1 week ago, being told that someone would contact us, nothing, I then phone get the diabolical Lorraine (who has the worst customer service in a human being ive ever met) and was told that they spoke to the landlord who told them that the wasps disappear over winter and that there was no need to send anyone out. Im allergic to Wasp stings, so appaently im supposed to wait around in fear of my life going they disappear, in the meantime im killing 5 or 6 a day that ingress into the loft room i work in everyday, have hoovered clumps of wasps gathered in window frames and still they persist. Although this was the landlords decision, this information wasnt fed back to us until I called them!
There have been 4 other occasions in the 3 years qe have been tenants through WH Brown, that we have had big issues but have had to fight for information from them, they simply dont care

complete sht show. Confirmed completion date without consulting solicitors. Whole chain almost collapsed because it. Only found out from the buyer things got delayed 1 day before we were supposed to move out. In the end we ignored them completely and just dealt ourselves trough solicitors. All they basically did is post advert on rightmove and zoopla. As Phoebe Porter told herself, they are just middle man and there to collect money

She is always on top of things and organises all the paperwork in a timely and effective way. There is someone doing the job they are being paid to do, and there is going above and beyond, and that was Miranda every time I contacted her. She ensured we fully understood the numbers and payments and all of the mortgage details that normally would go unexplained, she even booked in separate appointments to accommodate my partners working hours to ensure he understood everything too.
Our house sold in less than 24 hours and we managed to find our perfect home in the space of a weekend, so the whole sale and purchase was a bit of a whirlwind, but Miranda ensured we knew what was going on along the way, answering all of my questions about the process and even helping us to secure the right insurance policies for us.

Miranda on the Mortgage team is BRILLIANT and helped us out of a massive bind (thank you Miranda for being so eagle-eyed and knowing your craft inside and out!) BUT even though the sales team helped us find a property, some of their recommendations are dubious....if you have a trusted solictor, don't be manipulated into changing to one recommended by WHB - irrespective of what they say, the only thing that makes a solictor act promptly/faster is if you nag them constantly!! I found William H Brown gave a very poor service. Constant excuses of why they havent got back to you. Apparent phone issues on a daily basis. I found two of the staff at my local branch very rude. I asked for a sale board and after 24 weeks and regular calls I still didnt get one. I found they over price the property and after 4 weeks push for you to drop your price although there commission remains at the higher level. I cannot recommend them in any shape or form sorry.

Just as lockdown started, my mother moved out of her bungalow so I assumed I might have problems trying to sell it. After speaking to Steve Bowles from William H Brown however, I was very reassured. His local knowledge meant that he knew the details of the property without needing to visit it initially, and he was very thorough in setting up as much as possible before any viewings were allowed and his advice on all aspects of the sale was spot on. Awful company I would not rent a property with this company if you paid me! Do not fix issues that arise and allow people to live in properties that are in a terrible state. Some of the flats have bug infestations and they don't see that as an issue. They also lie about it being previously a problem and blame the tenants knowing full well there are bugs in the whole building. Absolutely disgusting.

myself and my wife were looking at buying are first house, spoke to leigh the mortgage advisor, at first she was really helpful but after my wife asked to view a house as was told by leigh that she could not view the house as we were not ready. mind you after asking to view the house it took 2 days to get a response from anyone, in that time we went and viewed a 3 bed house near wisbech and then spoke to the another company's mortgage advisor, and they were more than happy to see us and put our offer in for the house. would not use whb again after my wife been had a go out by someone that was meant to be helping us

WHB are THE most helpful agents in the area! For sales, they cannot be more helpful, unlike some others such as Yopa who are completely useless! But when it comes to lettings, they excel themselves and none more so than Rhiannon. You can't blame people for "...doing their job..." but Rhiannon does so much more! She really goes that extra mile to help out all parties and I would unequivocally recommend speaking to her if you are a landlord or prospective tenant as you would be in the best possible hands.

Having dealt with the estate agents who were always willing to help and find properties for my partner and I. They were all very helpful and were never trying to force us into anything we weren't sure on.
Also dealt with the mortgage adavisor within the branch - Miranda and she was amazing for us, helped us through the whole way, was always willing to help us even came in on her day off to help us! Would always get back to us on any questions/ worries we had, whether during work time or out of work hours. Certainly made our experience so much easier then we ever expected it would be.
Definitely made our first experience of buying a home a much less stressful experience, and would definitely recommend anyone to go through this branch for finding a home or getting a mortgage.
