Despite my assertions that I'm not actually thinking of selling up, I continued to receive regular marketing calls from this branch. My strategy yesterday was to make a booking for a valuation visit today and then cancel, hopefully wasting their time will prevent then wasting mine.

My self and my panter are first time buyers and view a property with william h brown (watton office)and the property was what we liked so a offer was submitted and accepted on the grounds where the boiler was as we couldn't be showed to us on the viewing but was assured it was a combi boiler on the viewing after we done our own research we found out it had a back boiler which is between 5-10 thousand pound to be replaced with a new combi.property had been on the market for over 6 months so how they didn't no this is beyond me also they push the solicitors on to use to get the ball rolling and wanting a deposit from us before they could confirm the boiler situation.
Will add the listing stated nothing about a boiler.
Very poor from a big company and will definitely not go with william h brown or recommend them to anyone.

Well... not the easiest of ordeals trying to buy our first house.
A global pandemic doesn’t help, but we had issues from the start.
The mortgage advisor just left a few weeks in to us making an offer and it being accepted for us to start all over again. Plus the offer he got us wasn’t right anyway!
We went with the solicitors that WH Brown suggest.... DONT - they are impossible to get hold of, never reply to emails or phone calls and even WH Brown struggled to get hold of them. Advice - never use them.
The whole process went on for nearly 5 months - unnecessary really.
We were told more information from the venders when we went to measure up then anyone else.
The staff at WH Brown were good though - agreed sometimes they wouldn’t call back when they said, but we were also hard to get hold of due to our jobs. I can also imagine with everything going on, they had a large case load.
I would like to thank Jake, Laura & Ellie as they seemed to try and push things when they could.
Altogether I would use WH Brown again just not their solicitors.

I put my property up for sale with William H Brown Watton in June and agreed a sale on the 12th August. We only finally moved in January. I understand that Covid may be responsible for a little of the delay however a lot of it was due to the incompetence of the people we had to deal with in the office, particularly Jake. We would regularly phone for an update and be told he would call us back and rarely did and we had to call back again the following day. We were told complete lies such as the buyers having a mortgage in place when the sale was agreed and then having a call a couple of weeks later where we were advised that they were in the process of getting a mortgage not already having one as we were advised at the start. We would not have agreed the sale until their mortgage was actually in place. We even had phone calls months after the sale was agreed to tell us that we had viewings booked in for our property even though they had already sold it for us. The estate agents who were selling the property we bought (Millbanks, Attleborough) gave us more information on how the sales was progressing than William H Brown ever did. I would never recommend that anyone use William H Brown in Watton as the whole process was a joke.

I put my house up for sale with William H Brown in Watton early last summer. I was extremely disappointed at how inactive they seemed to be over the 20 week period of the contract, only getting two viewings in total. At the end of the contract I changed agents having paid over £200 for the premium service which included £75 + vat for an EPC certificate. By chance I was looking through the details from the contract a few weeks ago and spotted that the EPC certificate they had used was from 2014... they had not had a new one done yet had not considered refunding the money. I phoned them and was told the money would be refunded within 28 days...incredible it takes that long to make a refund anyway. However it is now over six weeks later and the refund has not appeared. As I had the windows replaced in my property in 2015, I decided to book an EPC myself, which cost £47. (My new agent told me this was a cheaper way to do it) I certainly would never recommend William H Brown in Watton to others and the ‘premium service’ does definitely not warrant the title.

I have just sold my house and brought a bungalow through the watton office. Cant believe the reviews as I couldn't fault Laura or anyone else in the office. They were always polite even when my ex wife was rude.I would definitely use them again they scanned everything over to the solicitor which got things moving. I found Talbots law who they arranged very efficient .

The service we received has been utterly appalling over a sale of a property in Watton. The contact with WHB has been dealt with in a way that it makes you wonder who is paying who for a service? Indeed, myself has had to make several calls regarding the sale culminating in a formal complaint been made to their HQ. We have been given the runaround with false information regarding an Exchange of Contract date, bad communications, staff not in the office or no one to cover and a rubbish advert that had to be redone by my own mother! The whole experience has been a debarcle from start to finish. I would strongly urge that you do not use this estate agent as they simply could not care two hoots and the customer services leaves a lot to be desired. For a fee of over £3k I would expect a damn sight better service that what we have received.
I myself had a massive row with them as they could no longer tell us where we are at the sale or even care about the sale. Both us as vendors and the buyer have been led down the garden path. They really are not the best to deal with. Then they wonders why I exploded at the eleventh hour with the removals been booked and with no sale.... It's been a very bad experience all round. Never again.
