Two previous sales had fallen through during the pandemic through other agents, and Winkworth did a fantastic job relaunching the property, advising on the photos and video and marketing the property in the most difficult of circumstances. Once the new sale was agreed, Matthew and his team did a great job ensuring everyone was kept informed and the negotiations were handled in an extremely professional and timely manner. Winkworth’s (Matthew Hallett) initial valuation of the property, and his unexpected separate introduction to us of an external professional Valuer of the property’s contents, were used (along with another Agent’s property valuation), to obtain Probate. We subsequently pursued onto the market with both Agents, in a Joint Sole Agency arrangement. It then became very apparent (in the COVID lockdown period), that Winkworth were actively marketing our property, producing a stream of valid viewers (mostly escorted round the property by Matthew’s brilliant colleague Vicky) and providing rapid feedback to us, while the other Agent sat back! Sure there were issues - taking several months from the initial Offers to completion of the deal, with COVID restrictions and Solicitors’ queries slowing things up. Property was immaculate and the very best advantage was presented to the applicant by Bill who delivered a patient and comprehensive viewing which was informative, interesting and persuasive. Rob and Matthew are true gentleman, a rare find these days! I met them when looking at No 25 St Anne's Street, It was a stunning property and It was so nearly what I was looking for ( I have been looking for about a year) Rob actually listened to what I was hoping to find, and a few weeks later he telephoned me to tell me he thought he had found the perfect house for me. He also promised I would be first through the property. As soon as their agreement to sell was signed Rob showed me the property. He was absolutely right it was perfect for me and my situation. So after only one viewing I put in an offer (at the asking price because that was spot on too) This was on a Monday and by Thursday morning they took the property off the market despite quite a few enquires, and it was mine - I exchanged two days ago. I believe the Vendors were as pleased as I am, as it was quick and everyone stuck to what was agreed. Especially Winkworth. All this also was done just over 6 weeks from my first viewing and at the price they wanted and I could afford! I was flying to Australia for 9 weeks on March 31st and Matt personally rang me and my solicitor to make sure it all happened so I could get on my plane and not worry! I cannot recommend Winkworth Salisbury highly enough they are a very rare firm - not once did they over promise and under deliver nor was there any "Estate Agent bullshit" as we Aussies say! Thank you Matt & Rob you were brilliant !! Matthews also is the owner at Winkworth so he really works hard to please his clients. Poppy his lovely spaniel and Rob's black Lab also helped to seal the sale ! They will all be invited to dinner in my new house as we became friends too !
