I chose BlakeStanley Estate agents after speaking with 3 different agents in the area. Alex was the standout agent for me. He was obviously very experienced and knew his stuff without trying the big salesman on me, which I definitely got from one of the other agents I spoke with. I had not sold a home before, so I had lots of questions and Alex was always willing to give me his time and advice and emails and calls were answered fast. I also dealt with Matthew in their office, who was also very helpful and he got back to me about various issues when he had news about the sale. All in all a good professional experience and what I had hoped for at the start, so I was very happy with my choice of agent. Thanks to Alex and Matthew.

Do not use these estate agents. They withheld our deposit weeks after they were legally obligated to return it after taking it out of the deposit scheme. They tried to charge us a cleaning fee even though we had cleaned the property to a way higher standard than we found it - tampon applicators on the floor, damp we had agreed to be removed in the tenancy agreement. We provided video and photo evidence to protest the cleaning fee, and it was clear they had not inspected the property prior to charging us (the fact that the estate agent who showed us the property didn't know that one of the bedrooms had an en suite toilet spoke to how little the agency knew or even cared to know about the property) Furthermore, cleaning fees and agency fees have not been legal since 2018.
Our landlord wasn't the best, but he also repeatedly warned us about the agency. He would also call the tenancy to try and get them to give us our deposit back. It was only when I threatened legal action did we eventually see the money returned to our accounts.

Avoid if you're a Tenant. Everythings good until you sign, after that don't expect communication. Been months and still trying to get an update from my deposit. Never even missed a rent.

It was a pleasure dealing with Gavin with the sale of my property.
After requesting a valuation via Rightmove which linked me to 4 other local agents Gavin was the last agent to contact me, after speaking with 4 other estate agents I must say I had very little interest however I must say Gavin’s approach was by far the most pleasant and reassuring, he wasn’t pushy or scripted like the other agents I had spoken to.
At the valuation he maintained this pleasant and warming approach and presented a full marketing plan which he had prepared specifically for my property which none of the other agents I met with produced.
I decided to market my property with them on a sole agency basis. He gave an estimated timescale of 6 weeks which I though was very optimistic but further to my surprise I received an offer within just 2 weeks. Whist I did not accept this first offer they later got me another 2 offers 2 weeks later which I accepted one. All in all they managed to sell my property in just over 3 weeks.
I’ve been impressed with the regular updates and even more impressed with them putting up with my 101 questions.
I look forward to working with them on my next project and would highly recommend them within the area.

We made an offer that was unfortunately not accepted but I just wanted to say how much I was impressed with Rihannon from start to finish, she was an absolute star and really made us feel that she had our best interests at heart. Even though we didn't get the property she did her best and wasted no time in refunding our holding deposit. When we need to move again she will be our first point of contact!
