Avoid Brennan Ayre O’Neill Lettings – Unprofessional and Negligent
We’ve rented through Brennan Ayre O’Neill for the past 14 months, and it has been a consistently frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish. This review specifically concerns their lettings department, not their estate agency, as we’ve had no dealings with that side.
Communication is virtually non-existent. From the beginning, responses were slow and inconsistent. At one point, they didn’t even show up for a scheduled property inspection with no notice or follow-up. This lack of reliability became a recurring issue throughout the tenancy.
Maintenance issues were ignored or met with rude, dismissive responses. Emails and phone calls often went unanswered. When we raised serious concerns like damp and mould, the blame was shifted onto us, rather than any real effort made to assess or resolve the problem despite it clearly being a longstanding structural issue.
Their contractors were unreliable and careless. Work was frequently left unfinished, and in some cases, contractors left rubbish dumped in the alleyway next to our property. We had to constantly chase both the contractors and the agency for updates or completion and even then, the standard of work and level of accountability was unacceptable.
The staff we dealt with were often rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. Once the tenancy was signed, their interest in providing any sort of professional service vanished. It felt like tenants were treated as an inconvenience rather than customers.
To any prospective tenants or landlords: avoid Brennan Ayre O’Neill lettings at all costs. They are unresponsive, unprofessional, and take no accountability for problems. We would never rent through them again and strongly advise others to steer clear.
