I object to Garton Jones having free advertising on the CBW app for 2+ years (finally paying now) but incredibly threatening residents with withdrawal of sponsorship if they make 'negative' posts. The misplaced sense of ownership and entitlement is vast, with CBWRA grovelling along as ever.
Residents lost thousands of pounds of potential advertising revenue. Mr Chris Garston's intervention in the Chelsea Bridge Wharf Residents' Association Chair elections (at the request of the 'co-chairs') by emailing his owners' list while voting was live and urging them to vote against a candidate who promised to end his free advertising) is massively inappropriate. Had this occurred in the context of local or national elections it would be illegal in my view but residents' association elections are not regulated. This sort of behaviour suggests that they need to be. CBW and CBWRA must cease to be the fiefdom of Garton-Jones and their proxies in our residents' association.... Read more
