Lovelle estate agents were open , honest and up front with the evaluation of the property. From local experience they knew the market , whom potential buyers would be. The standard of service was professional the team worked closely with me , my buyers and solicitors communication was second to none. Awfully poor communication. I'm a first time buyer so was just putting up with it at first, but everytime I look elsewhere for understanding I find out just how much this agency is not working in line with normal expectations. They provide no information then chase you as if you're a nuisance. Information from them doesn't match up with what I get from my solicitors. The entire process has been much more stressful than necessary and I'm ridiculously disappointed. I have family moving up North and with how bad this process has been I'm at a point where I would encourage them to miss out on great properties just to avoid dealing with Lovelle Hykeham... Personally, I wouldn’t again. I made an enquiry about a property they had for sale. I told them I preferred a video viewing of the property as I couldn’t physically be there. They said they were not able to and the property became STC. Fair enough. If you’re not able to; fine. Since then, the property came back onto the market. I mentioned that I had someone to view this for me from the Holderness branch but the Cottingham branch didn’t respond. At that time their Holderness Road branch was going to perform a video viewing for me for another property and they agreed. The first property that was STC came back onto the market and I made another enquiry. They ignored this completely. This is the second time that Lovelle had done this. Which means they did not actually want to do the viewing. Looking very ‘selective’ or ‘local’ for their buyers. It does say “first class service…” and “excellent customer service…” on their website. Which means it’s just a slogan. The Holderness branch also became unresponsive to their property I was interested in. That’s two properties missed out on because of their ‘service’. That is still business that they were not interested in doing. I understand the market is thriving right now and estate agents are poking their chest but at a point the market will slow down as it does and the enquiries will become fewer and fewer; as it does. There are estate agents who treat every call / customer the same and others that don’t. I cancelled the other viewing as it seemed this is Lovelle in general. It would not surprise me that their higher rated views are close connections as we know how this works. So, in all, not for me. Oh, cue the response from Lovelle’s; “we have never heard from you…” or “we tried to……”... Read more
