Selling our home with Mortimers Estate Agents in Accrington has been a very positive experience.
During Sam's initial visit to give us a valuation it was apparant that he'd taken time to research other similar properties in the area. Sam's knowledge and preparation made him stand out head and shoulders above the other estate agents who visited, I felt that Mortimers genuinely wanted to sell our home for us and they took pride in ensuring excellent customer service throughout.
I appreciated that Mortimers took a video of our house, took time to include a floor plan, allowed me to add to the house description and offered us different selling options. We chose to have a dedicated viewing day where we vacated the house and Mortimers showed people round. We were also happy to pay on a commission basis instead of a flat fee.
During this time when viewing were being booked I spoke to Matthew on almost a daily basis, we had some fantastic conversations, I never once felt that he was 'selling' to me, Matthew was very supportive and offered me advice on numerous other issues. If I rang and he wasn't available, he would always ring back.
Mortimers marketing strategy clearly worked and within one week we had 19 viewings booked in on one day, many making offers above the asking price. Sam dealt with the negotiation and we are delighted with the offer we accepted.
Following the negotiation, we didn't hear from Mortimers much as we were in the hands of the solicitors. On the occasions I did make contact I was always impressed how well all the staff in the office communicate with one another. Whilst Matthew was our assigned Negotiator, his colleague Leanne was always aware of what was happening.
We don't intend on moving house again but if we ever do, Mortimers will be our first choice of estate agent!
