Phillips Smith & Dunn, specifically Vince Brock, have been extremely helpful during the purchase of my first property. Explaining how things work, helping with chasing solicitors and allowing additional viewings to consolidate information. An excellent local estate agent with great knowledge in their field. Philip Smith and Dunn, Bideford office recently displayed their cavalier and unprofessional approach to doing business. A neighbour in our cul-de-sac recently engaged them to sell their house. While we were away on holiday, PS&D, thought it would be acceptable to hammer a "For Sale" sign into our lawn despite us being 20 metres or so away from the property for sale. This was to make the sign more visible from a nearby road. We had to hear about it from friends who were shocked to think we were suddenly selling up! When we contacted PS&D to tell them to remove the sign, they were very dismissive and despite us asking them to make good the damage to the lawn they have made no attempt to repair the damage. We reminded them that it is an offence to erect a sign in this way without any permission, they were unrepentant and dismissive of the criminal damage they caused to our property. There is clear legislation that signs MUST be erected within the boundaries of the property for sale and no where else. This is representative of the worst kind of behaviour that estate agents should be trying to stamp out of their "profession".

There was not much communication ,only a few viewings two were no shows, great photos. Wasn’t sure what todo so I asked if it could reduce it twice, I now think I made the wrong decision, but was not advice.
