I am so disappointed with this estate agents. Found the home I wanted. I put in an offer and was awaiting an answer if I could purchase the property privately without going to auction. They didn't even have the courtesy to get back to me! When I called them again to find out the answer and arrange a viewing I was told it had an offer made on it that morning to be sold privately. I wanted to offer more and they refused me. This was so disappointing and underhanded, they treated me appallingly. I live 3 hours drive away so having contact with them was imperative to get things in place. They let me down, I had to do all the calling.

Excellent service from Phillips Smith & Dunn of Bideford. James Fletcher, our contact, priced it well near the top of 3 suggestions and arranged a first class video and drone footage on a lovely day. Several escorted visits and 2 offers received at the asking price and he helped us choose the most appropriate and kept in contact at least weekly throughout the conveyancing and successful sale. Reasonable fee, always good to negotiate!

I dealt mainly with James who helped me, despite some difficult set backs, navigate the process from the initial viewing, placing an offer to the sale, reaching a very satisfactory conclusion
It is my ideal home and after nine months of searching was determined to try and buy it and James helped to steer the sale to conclusion, communicating skillfully with all parties.
He was always well informed, proactive, communicated swiftly and inspired confidence in the process. His personable, approachable and friendly manner made the process so much better. He and the agent selling my house were the best we encountered in a year long process, dealing with all the major agents in the area and I can not thank him and Monique enough.
They even presented me with some prosecco and delicious biscuits, funded from their own pockets, to celebrate when I collected the keys, such a kind, thoughtful and memorable touch.
I will recommend this Bideford team to anyone buying or selling in the area and wish them every ongoing success.
