After an initial enquiry, no one got back to me so I had to chase it up with them and managed to book a viewing.
Their man Piers was late and didn't bother to call us or even text.. I had to phone the office to find out what was happening. Piers was ‘running late’ after being caught at another viewing. Then they called back to say he was actually stuck on a phone call in the office. Either way, not a good start.
Eventually Piers turned up 20 minutes late with no apology and an apathetic attitude.
Opened the door to the property where a soaking wet duvet welcomed us on entering. Considering the state of the house (no carpets, wet floor, skirting boards hanging off etc) there was no real attempt to sell the property.. minimal explanation for the state.
Zero effort to get us excited or interested in renting with them.. customer service skills completely lacking. Piers didn’t show us around just stood there in the middle of the dining room awkwardly not saying much.
‘A true industry expert’ bringing that ‘professionalism in everything he does’ - not on this day.
Maybe he doesn’t have time/motivation to deal with rentals? - so perhaps send someone who actually cares and wants to help renters make a decision.
With a little bit of enthusiasm and customer care we could have easily seen potential in the property.
Overall, terrible experience with pocock and shaw.
Hope it improves should I choose to use their services again in future.
