£200 valuation fee!!!
We first looked at going with shires to sell our property as they had a house we was set on purchasing made sense we went with them.
We was told that there was certain things they could do to get us said house ,but we need to get on the market ASAP,
We signed contract thinking that as with any contract we would have a 14 day cooling off period, so after lots of promises we where then told the property had sold which gave us some breathing space to take a step back and shop about ,we were offered a fantastic rate and was given amazing service from another agent. We informed shires we would like to terminate our contract within the 14 days cooling off period , they took this news badly, even bad mouthing other agents saying they can't do what we can ect ect ,seemed to take it personally,
We was then sent a Bill for just over £200 for a valuation fee which was in small print
My point being there is no cooling off period without excessive charges so just beware ,and of underhand tactics
