From the initial meeting with Paul, the regular communication from Henry and Matthew and updates from Sabrina and Jessica, the whole experience was one of professionalism, from putting the property on the market to completion. A very well run company, with attention to detail and great customer focus, I have no hesitation, based on the experience I had, in recommending Paul and his team.

30th Oct 2025 (7 weeks ago)Strongly advise any prospective landlords or tenants to stay well away from this two-bit lettings agent in Leiston. For landlords - although it benefitted me as a tenant, the rental was priced substantially below market value throughout the duration of my tenancy (and after), suggesting a deep lack of understanding of the market and poor advice to the owner. They did not provide me with an EICR at the start of my tenancy (I had to chase them for it and finally received it months later), failing to meet basic legal requirements and putting the owner at legal risk. Druce inspected the property less than once a year, and when he did it was for no more than a couple of minutes. I reported numerous issues with the property which they did nothing about; perhaps most significantly, I reported damp c2 years ago which escalated into a serious problem by the end of my tenancy due to their inaction and negligence. For tenants - Druce and his staff are rude, conceited, and condescending. Unless they wanted something from me, I was treated with disdain or hostility. They tried on multiple occasions to pass costs for their mistakes onto me. And after this, I wasn’t at all surprised when they endeavoured to take a large, unjustifiable deduction from my damage deposit - the only surprise was just how much they brazenly tried to take! Fortunately, they are just about as inept and stupid as they are vindictive, and so none of their shameless efforts to extort me worked. But I’m sure I am not the first, and won’t be the last person they try this with, and I fear others may get different outcomes.

13th Sep 2025 (13 weeks ago)I haven't always considered Bedfords 5* but actually the real problem has been sheer frustration with the prevailing housing market in 2025. I believe Michael was born an estate agent, his knowledge of the market in Aldeburgh is second to none. Susie likewise is so knowledgeable of this area. Their advice goes beyond what you are selling, they also take an interest in your purchasing of property even if its through other Estate Agencies. I would say be aware of not listening to any advice offered. We listened but to our discomfort took a different course of action and are paying the price...quite literally! They seem to have a good catalogue of buyers waiting to purchase which was so helpful even though I like most buyers go straight to Rightmove without considering who the agent is. Their advice on pricing was accurate and advertising presentation excellent. Whilst our current move has been an awful drawnout experience and we have lost two commited purchasers along the way we appreciate the service our local agent provides and realise we will eventually sell our lovely property and it will be with Bedfords. Thankyou chaps.
