Right from the start, Becky saw something in our property that two other agents didn't, seeing the potential beyond the work that needed doing. As a result, she suggested marketing it at a far higher price than others suggested and whilst I was initially worried by this, she was right and ended up securing significantly more than if we had gone elsewhere. It certainly wasn't the most straightforward of sales but Becky and her team are so approachable and were always there to help resolve issues and to provide some much needed counselling when things didn't go to plan! I've been disappointed with Hamilton smith, I rented with them and I still did not have a working shower after 1 whole year of rent, I had a continuous problem with mould that was constantly downplayed by them, the windows were not double glazed (even in 2023!) they were the original 1980s windows which had a really bad draft, I was promised on multiple occasions they would be resealed and they weren't ever done. When I initially rented the house the garden was disgusting; there was an abandoned pond full of rubbish & a garden full of weeds although I was under strict instructions to keep it cut every 3 weeks. -my neighbor in front (who also rented via them) never once cut her grass in the 18 months I was there, she left rubbish and cat food/poo all over my path, I had to cut her grass yet I lost deposit money for no given reason even after I spent over 500£ cleaning up the garden alone and fixing items in the house myself. I also found live wires left dangling in a old extractor vent, my other half was very disappointed and fixed that himself. It was a "nice" masionette in the countryside with parking but a neighbor who did absolutely nothing to take care of her property yet I felt punished for it. it was just so frustrating, I tried everything to keep it clean - to keep theassive amounts of ants from getting in constantly - to have a working hot shower - to try keep the mould out , just never got anywhere it felt like a waste of time. I really liked the house but Hamilton Smith weren't great, they didn't even turn up for inspections when they were booked costing me hours of unpaid work on several visits... They're better than Leaders that's for sure but overall not pleased in all honesty. They're a lot more organized than Leaders & seemed polite but also felt I was being talked to behind my back to the point where the maintenance man became very rude towards me even after volunteering in his own time to communicate and help me with house issues after his working hours which was very kind at least.... Druce have been fantastic for us! We were relocating from Kent and got let down on another house at the last minute through another estate agent. We'd already handed our notices in at our properties and literally had 2 weeks to move! I went in branch on the morning, viewed a house less than 2 hours later and they bent over backwards for us to help get a property secured. All staff were extremely friendly which was quite refreshing after being mistreated by another agent and made to feel unimportant. Oliver showed us around 2 properties and was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He made us feel like he cared, taking our circumstance into account. From the first contact through to final completion of the sale, every step of the way with Bedfords was efficient, courteous and professional. First up was delivery of a valuation and selling proposal by hand on the same day as the initial visit to the property. We had three agents come to value and Bedfords outperformed the others with ease at this stage. From then on I was kept up to date with every viewing (this was an empty property - executor sale) with feedback and suggestions. The final negotiations and sale process were conducted efficiently and in a timely manner. So far great experience, very attractive rates but no less quality. They gave us the best valuation compared to others which wanted to put house on market for much less than what it was worth. TNA had the same vision as us and saw the effort we have put into the property. Conclusion - we had an offer in less than 3 days for the full asking price.... Read more
