Having dealt with several other estate agents during my search, including one purchase with another agent that progressed quite far before falling through with little support provided from that particular agent, I can honestly say the service at Hunters stood out. Vicky, Marissa and team were consistently friendly, responsive, and proactive throughout the process. They were quick to address any questions or concerns, providing clear updates and helping everything move along smoothly and efficiently. Their support made the stress of house buying feel much more manageable. I would definitely recommend them — thank you again!
16th Apr 2026 (18 days ago)100% Cash Buyer ignored – Complete lack of professionalism Extremely poor experience with the Denton branch, specifically Eleanor Price. As a chain-free, 100% cash buyer with funds exceeding £450k, I expected a basic level of professional service. Instead, the process was a shambles from start to finish. First, I was left waiting at a property because the agent couldn't provide access, followed by a flippant joke from the negotiator about "breaking in through the windows" rather than a professional apology. More importantly, after making a record-breaking cash offer of £235k, I was ghosted for 6 days despite multiple follow-up attempts. My formal written withdrawal was also completely ignored. It is clear this agency used my solid cash offer as a "safety net" or leverage to pressure other buyers while failing to provide me with even basic courtesy or communication. If you are a seller, be warned: this team’s inability to communicate or manage a high-value cash transaction could cost you a secure sale. If you are a buyer, be prepared to be played and ignored. Totally unprofessional. Update: I've made a formal complaint to Edward Mellor Denton and received a pack of lies in response. I've now escalated the matter to The Property Ombudsman (TPO).

Communication appears inconsistent, with different information provided at different times, which makes it difficult to rely on what is being said. There also seems to be a lack of clear structure, procedures and follow-through, which affects confidence in how the business operates.

9th Nov 2025 (25 weeks ago)Our experience with this estate agent, and in particular with Joanne, was extremely disappointing from start to finish. As buyers, we were made to feel like we weren't a priority, when it was clearly implied that her main responsibility was to the seller rather than providing a fair and professional service to both parties. We did everything requested of us promptly and with patience, but even basic communication was difficult, because her tone was often passive-aggressive and condescending, which made the process unnecessarily stressful, and actually really upset me a lot at times! On multiple occasions, we were pressured to complete tasks urgently, even when we were already working as quickly as possible. The final stages of completion were particularly frustrating, as Joanne was completely unreachable on the day - a moment that should have been exciting for us as first-time buyers. Thankfully, our solicitors stepped in to resolve the issue. However, the final straw was Joanne’s audacity in accusing me of being a liar and making inappropriate comments about others in the process. Her complete lack of respect and accountability is concerning and incredibly frustrating! I advise others to be cautious before dealing with this agency.

Kirsten Woodhead was really helpful and professional as were the rest of the staff I dealt with. The manager Matthew Clayton took superb photographs and the writeup on Rightmove was very impressive. It didn’t take long to find a buyer so I would highly recommend the team at Ashton if you want to market your property with a very professional agent.- 22nd Apr 2026 (12 days ago)Had a good experience with Kirkham Property Management Ltd throughout our tenancy. Ashleigh was particularly helpful — always professional, responsive, and clear in her communication, which made things much easier from our side. The move-out process was straightforward and handled efficiently, and everything was dealt with fairly. Overall, a well-managed service and a professional team to deal with. Would happily rent through them again.

Jess personally called me to understand my preferences and what I was truly looking for in a property. While she covered the usual questions, it never felt transactional—she genuinely wanted to understand our needs, not just whether we could afford something. She then arranged a meeting with a mortgage advisor to give us a clear picture of our budget, followed by a full day of viewings tailored to our preferences. I haven’t experienced this level of care and attention anywhere else. They made the entire process feel smooth and personal, and thanks to their support, we found our beautiful home exactly as we had hoped.

If you’re trying to sell a property with them I’d move on. Being a cash buyer in no chain I’ve started conveyancing on another property.

We had an offer within days of the viewings.<br>Go with an agent who is as committed as you are to sell and will add valuable insight to the process. You won't be disappointed with Paul.
