We used Hancock’s Estates when we were looking to move across town, and they handled the whole process with a calm, professional manner that really put us at ease. The team were easy to get hold of, kept us updated without us having to chase, and were particularly helpful when a few bits of paperwork needed sorting at short notice. There was a proper sense that they knew the local market inside out, which made a big difference. Not quite perfect, as one or two replies took a touch longer than expected, but overall the service was very solid and the staff were courteous throughout. Very poor communication. Had to chase repeatedly to find out what was happening. Paid for the premium package and had hosted viewings all contracted out to an agency. Different agent almost every time turning up minutes before the viewer. No knowledge of the property and poor follow ups for feedback. After 3 months without a sale went to another agent and sold within a week. Definitely do NOT recommend Purplebricks, they take your money then have no incentive to make sure you get a sale. Avoid and pay the extra money for a proper estate agent rather than pay twice like we did.... Read more
