Probably the best estate agents I’ve had the pleasure to instruct. From start to finish, Gary and the team were nothing short of brilliant.
From the bat, there was none of the usual ‘telling us our house was worth 50% more than it was’ to try and get our business and then wondering why it didn’t sell - straight away, Gary came fully equipped with all of the information on all the comparable houses in the area, gave us a realistic value that met our expectations, then went ahead and listed the property. Which then sold three days later!
Throughout the whole sale and subsequent onward purchase, Gary was always at the end of the phone or WhatsApp making things super smooth and really convenient. Gary’s vast experience as an estate agent really showed during the entire process, advising us calmly and sensibly during what for anyone will be a stressful time.
I genuinely can’t recommend Latcham Dowling enough - I wouldn’t put a house on the market with anyone else now that I’ve seen how well (and quickly) it can be done!

We used Gary & Latcham Dowling for our recent sale, we had a few up and downs with chains dissolving, buyers pulling out at the last minute etc but Gary got us over the hill and sale completed in the end.
After having several agents come around we chose Latcham Dowling as we just got a better "feel" with Gary. Alanya was also great with the viewings and we liked the WhatsApp group keeping everyone in the loop.

Gary and his team have been flawless. Despite him selling our house extremely quickly, it took a long time for us to find the right property to move to, due to some complications with a property we were purchasing. There was no pressure from the team. Just fantastic support. Gary was even happy to advise on some of the properties which we were viewing. Latcham Dowling has also sold other properties for us in the past. We had come to them after using other agents and having a poor experience. Not only did Latcham Dowling sell the property for a higher price than the other agent was marketing it at but they were quickly able to arrange multiple viewings almost as soon as it was listed. It really shows the difference between a professional, experienced and proactive agent like Latcham Dowling vs other agents in the area. Communication is excellent; Gary and his team set up a Whatsapp group between my wife and I and his team which is a really great way to keep everyone in the loop. I would usually be very cautious of estate agents, but Latcham Dowling really buck that trend. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

After 2 failed house moves 4 years ago via other local estate agents we had lost hope..... but then made the best decision ever and decided to use Latcham Dowling for our last attempt and it was most definitely third time lucky !! Joe secured us a sale within 6 days of our house being listed and then Gary worked tirelessly to make sure the sale went through to completion which considering the very long & complex chain was not an easy job ! As first time buyers, we purchased a property listed by Latcham Dowling. Everything was smooth sailing up until the point of the property being cleared of all personal items.
We visited the VACANT property multiple times after being told ‘it’s been cleared’, when in fact it hadn’t. We were then told ‘If they haven’t cleared it, which won’t be the case anyway, then you can charge them for a skip or removal company’.
The property was not fully cleared on completion date and we were left to move in with items in the house we had specifically requested multiple times to be removed. We emailed LD giving the sellers the opportunity to collect the items, but as to no surprise, they’ve not got back to us, so we will now be left to take their personal belongings to the dump! Not something you want to be doing when you’ve just bought your first home.
This may seem like a harsh review on LD but it was made very clear to us that they will get the sellers to clear the property after exchanging contracts.
…As soon as they’ve got their commission they don’t want to know. On to the next house sale for their cut.

Buying and selling a house is always stressful, but I have to say that Gary, James and Joe at Latcham Dowling were brilliant when I sold my house in Potton this year, and made the process incredibly transparent and as easy as it could be. They have a fixed fee for all sellers, so there's no quibbling or feeling that you're getting a worse deal than anybody else, and you get your own online portal so you can follow the progress of your sale. This takes you from viewing dates/times and how it went right the way through to accepting the offer and completion. Also invaluable was being added to a WhatsApp group with all the agents in, so any questions or queries could be asked and resolved quickly. Highly recommended!

What a dedicated team. Having worked alongside many estate agents over many years, I have to say that Latcham Dowling are the most proactive team I have ever seen. Most people outside of the industry think that estate agents are there to get an offer on your house. That is true, but you only know the value of your estate agent by the way they progress your sale through to exchange of contracts. If like me, you question whether estage agents are truly working for you (as seller), I completely get it. Are they manipulating the situation to "hit their own demanding targets"? This certainly is true for most, BUT (and a massive "but" here!), I am so bloody happy to say that Gary snd James smashed down that barrier. From the beginning I have been put at ease and have felt more than comfortable welcoming Gary into our home, especially during a pandemic. His service has been paramount! I have now used Gary Latchman on more than one occasion and every time have been astounded by his ' extra mile ' service.
He sold my Son's flat which had a shorter lease for which we new would require the right purchaser to be found. Gary found this purchaser and dealt with every aspect on what could have been a bumpy road.
The latest dealing was selling our house which came with 4.5 acres of land and all the issues that comes with that.
