Could not be happier with the service provided by Rob & Adrian. Offer on our house within 3 weeks, on hand with useful advice and kept us up to date at every stage. Would highly recommend the Farnham team and thank you for all your help.... Read more

Not a good experience. Had been warned not to use them but went ahead regardless, swayed by the rates. Now regret that. Have dealt with lots of estate agents in the past so thought I knew what to expect and what could go wrong? The answer is lots!! They were very incompetent. Too much detail for this forum but suffice to say the whole experience was extremely frustrating. We recognise that some of this frustration was due to the awkward buyer. However, their negotiation skills are poor at best, and they added no value whatsoever to the process. In addition, the owner is patronizing and arrogant. Go elsewhere is my advice.... Read more

I have never seen such disrespect given to a client. No communication, made my daughter feel second rate. She did all the chasing, what do you do for the money. You are everything that gives estate agents the bad reputation that they live up to consistently.... Read more

We recently sold our house with Charters, Alton, and the selling process has been fantastic. Signed with charters on the Friday, viewing on Saturday, sold by Monday! Throughout the selling process Jonathan Pinhorne liaised with our solicitors and buyers solicitors proactively and tirelessly, communicating with us on a weekly basis without fail. Thanks to everyone at the Charters Alton branch for your hard work over the last few weeks.... Read more

All talk and no trousers I'm afraid. We were encouraged to put our property on the market at one price which we were more than happy with, several weeks later we were encouraged to then drop it by £15k after no viewings. I have just had a phone call 5 months after initially putting it on the market from a very excited agent informing me he may be able to get us an offer from a recent viewing of £40k less than we had initially had it on the market for. Bearing in mind this is an apartment so not really a massive property where there this could be put down to an error of judgement. This would mean us selling the property for less than we bought it for when we have had a new kitchen, new ensuite and re-decorated it throughout to a very high standard. I could sell the property for that sort of price by myself without paying their £3k price tag! The agent then suggested I try and negotiate our forwarding property down to bridge the gap?!?!? Less than impressed, they might be dressed up as the business but they are nothing more than a bunch of cowboys and I would avoid at all costs!... Read more

overall Nexa Properties are a shamble, i wouldn't believe any of the other reviews i have no doubt they are fraudulent and wrote by the company themselves because our houses experience with them was appalling. not only did they not come to fix the multitude of issues we had with the house, they're also charging us for a deep Covid-19 clean despite this can only be done if there is evidence that someone in the house had the illness which no one did. Ohhh and lastly we had a rat in our kitchen for the last 3 months of the tenancy and they refused to do anything about it.... Read more

I had no idea my little business has any value when I wanted to retire. I was pleasantly surprised to accept an offer just less than the initial price and although the process took longer than expected because of the pandemic, I have nothing but praise and admiration for the team at Hilton Smythe. First class service!... Read more

Under no circumstances sell your business with Hilton Smythe. We made the unfortunate decision to sign a six month contract with them back in February this year to sell our shop. A valuer visited us and told us that if we paid so much upfront, they'd be no more fee's to pay and if the shop wasn't sold within six months we could simply pull it off the market or go with someone else. It was originally marketed and valued at £50,000. Initially we had a lot of interest and a sale looked likely. Then lockdown happened three weeks into the shop being advertised and all went quiet until late July, early August. Barely anything from Hilton Smythe. This we had expected due to the circumstances. In the meantime, the shop has been open and trading extremely well. Then come early August, we start being messed around by the agent. Suddenly and without any warning another agent has taken over and is arranging viewings with people who are not properly vetted. We're let down at the last minute by people who don't show up. We then reduce the price of our business in an effort to sell quicker, even then the agents kept calling with offer's well below the new asking price and when we turned them all down, we were made to feel like we're the ones being unreasonable and as though we should just accept any offer. Low and behold, we have decided to take our business off the market. Our contract ran out on August 2nd, therefore we are now out of contract. But... Hilton Smythe have stated that we have to give them six weeks notice for them to take our business off the market and in this time, we must accept viewings else we are liable for a fee of almost £3,000! We only received an actual copy of our contract, the day we gave Hilton Smythe our notice, which was two days ago. Yesterday, emails were flying back and forth between Myself and the agency over yet another no show. Hilton Smythe have become bullies and will stoop to any depths. They're not on the sellers side, the very people paying them and they will send anyone, unvetted, to waste your time on the promise of a sale. No matter how hard you try to get out of it, they will use 'the contract' against you. Do expect a level of stress that will drive you to the brink of a nervous breakdown and if you have a decent business, expect it to be adversely affected by bogus buyers phoning them and then you being forced into showing such people around! I urge anyone thinking of selling a business, go elsewhere. I wish I had seen some of these reviews back in February.... Read more
