I found the service to be exceptional. Keeping me appraised as to the current situation. Louise, Emma, Phillipa, Mary and Mandy were all fantastic. Great communicators and ever helpful. A+++++++
We tried to sell our property through Charles Faye over the summer of 2016. The manager appeared to know her stuff however its her team that lets her business down. We had to chase for feedback after the majority of viewings at our property. They do not communicate amongst each other effectively so we had conflicting information on more than one occasion.
Decisions couldn't be made by the team when the manager was on holiday and we had to wait for her to get back in touch via email as and when they were checked!
On viewing properties for sale with them we didn't feel we always had a professional service from the team. They would park in the one space leading up to the property and couldn't always answer questions or know where keys were for access to gardens etc.
I feel their service could improve massively if they talk amongst each other and have a system for communication relating to each property especially for the part time staff.
We ended up listing our property with Butfield Breach and found the whole team were on board with our house sale and received a much more professional service.
As a first time buyer, the whole process of buying a house and finding the right mortgage was very daunting, but Kyle was so helpful and patient and guided us through everything. I highly recommend the services of Allen and Harris- especially Kyle- he's our hero!
Not a good estate agent. We set the price they advised and a fixed fee to go with that Price listed. Iwas struggling to sell the property, so paid extra to have a photo pack and additional marketing, although I thought all this was part of an estate agents job anyway.
In the end I sold the property with a drop of 10% to get the house sold, so I could move into our dream cottage.
However they failed to tell me that if I dropped the price, as they advised me to do, that the fees would remain the same, bit remiss of them one might say. And at no point when they said to drop the price did they mention this. I did request that they dropped their fees to come in line with what I had dropped the sale price by 10%, totally blanked on that one, a few hundred pounds was all I was asking and I had already paid and extra £200 which was a waste of time.
They wouldn't talk to my wife, and to be honest we're quithe dismissive to her. I travel a lot so it was critical that while I was away she could deal with matter.
Arrogant, rude and dismissive. I know they probably state the agreement said, small print etc.
I wasn't trying to pay no fee I was just trying to be fair.
I should have stayed with the Butfield Breach who were informative and kept me aware every step. I am sure they could also have sold it at the price I eventually sold it for, without the hassle and extra cost, my mistake in changing.
Great turf, really well managed fields, in great condition considering the summer weather.
Steve: They are rude without a doubt. I bought a house through Strakers in Swindon and after the sale was completed I found the Strakers for sale sign and the top part of the front wall had come down. The part of the wall now on the ground matched where the sign had been fixed with nails, and the actual breakage was where the nails had been. A neighbour told me the sign had blown down in the wind taking the wall with it, the nails having also created a weak spot. After contacting Strakers I was referred to a guy who is apparently a director, he was arrogant and down right rude, refused to listen and in the end all I could tell him is what I believe he is and it was not complimentary. I certainly will not deal with them again.
