Sold my flat through Able Estates and received excellent service from the team. Always responded and dealt with my queries quickly via email and phone call... noting that I contacted them on a near daily basis!. No hesitation in recommending Paul and his team.
Absolutely a no-no for buyers, they constantly push you with deadlines, threatening you not taking ad off the market if you don't have mortgage offer ready. On the other hand, they hide information of sellers from you and constantly delay their jobs. Once the seller changes his mind, they are happy to gazump with the seller and put on the ad again the very next day! One of the worst in this country without regulations for estate agents!
Would never use this firm again. The owner Mr.Hedges tried to enter my house without speaking to me first as agreed. I was asleep as a shift worker. Also frightened my young son to death. Then had the cheek to ask to continue the viewing despite me opening the door in my boxers. Also they charge way to much in fees... Find a better company...
Horrible, odious parasitic people. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Sneering, belittling and condescending after being told we were already listing with another agent and had an offer accepted. We had only enquired about an available property to buy but were immediately probed about our own sale in a very forceful manner. Arrogantly told us we'd made a mistake as they'd have 'definitely got us more money', with a very spiteful tone.
I've had the unfortunate experience of purchasing through this firm before as a FTB and was bullied into using their solicitors, who charge extortionate fees cleverly disguised in a complicated fee structure. I was told unless I chose their solicitor my offer would not be considered, using what was most likely a phantom buyer with an 'equal offer' to heap on more pressure.
Please do yourselves a favour and list with anyone else and save yourself the pain of dealing with these cowboy swindlers who will look to bleed you for every penny possible as soon as they set eyes on you.
Your Move managed to let my flat extremely quickly and efficiently, for which I was extremely grateful as I had a very short time-frame. Their communication was extremely quick and efficient, and they were always ready and pleased to help with my questions (of which there were many!). On the whole, they made a difficult process very easy, and I would definitely let my flat with them again.
Having had a stressful time a few years back buying and selling a property. I wanted to make that it easier this time around . I met with some other agents but chose Mark and his team as He put my mind at ease with great knowledge and experience with a caring attitude . I was updated through the process and kept informed with good attention to detail .
Cannot thank Michael, Charley and Jess for all their help and assistance in selling my property and also for all the advice given in helping me buy my new house, and special thanks to Lisa the Sales negotiator too ... quality team... highly recommend.
I'm reviewing Hunters from the perspective of a buyer, not the seller who pays their commission, so my experience is probably different when you're the customer. I found Hunters ok, although they could have gone to a bit more effort to accomodate my requests and facilitate communication with the buyer. They also frequently failed to return phone calls, respond to emails and provide me with details I'd asked for. The worst part of my Hunters experience was their sales pressure to use their resident mortgage broker (Tony D). I won't give his full name, but I found him to be an amatuer and chancer. Anyone can submit mortgage applications in the hope that one of them gets accepted and call themselves an "expert", but that's to the detriment of the applicant. I'd buy a property with Hunters again, but don't listen to their mortgge broker sales rubbish. Just say "no" and find your own mortgage instead.
Anthony Martin (AM) by far the Best property agents I have dealt with. The team of Cameron and George were fantastic. Albeit the sale took a while, which was more to do with the market factors than any shortcoming on AM, they were a breath of Fresh air in comparison to some of the nasty folk masquerading around as property agents. They were friendly, human and trustworthy. Where I think AM stands head and shoulders above the other lot is that they have Human Values and they deliver a Human based service and they respect their clientele . You cannot place a price on that. I would unreservedly recommend AM to any prospective buyer or seller as you can rest assured that you will receive honesty, a high level of professionalism but above all you get to meet and interact with some genuinely decent people. Well done AM and thank you.
They took my £400 holding deposit. Don't trust them.
