3rd Sep 2023 (7 mo. ago)I cannot rate Hilton King and Locke highly enough, particularly Jenny Hall (Head of Lettings). From my first contact with Jenny, she has gone above and beyond to find a wonderful home for my wife and I to rent. Unlike many of the other estate agents I had spent weeks trying to contact to arrange viewings, Jenny got back to me almost immediately and booked me into to see two properties at short notice – the first of which we loved and ultimately rented. This was particularly helpful because my wife and I had only a short amount of time to find a property to rent and were returning from having lived overseas for two years. Jenny was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and transparent which was also very reassuring for me as a tenet. Once we moved into the property, Jenny and the entire Hilton Locke and King team have been fantastic in resolving a few teething problems which are an inevitable part of renting any property. Not only did Jenny work tirelessly to coordinate between us and the landlord but she also intervened with several third parties to help get our issue resolved. The issues were dealt with promptly and with great sensitivity and care. More than that, Jenny was incredibly personable with my wife, to the extent that she went as far as to buy my wife flowers – something which was incredibly appreciated as we waited for an issue to be resolved. I really cannot rate Hilton Locke and King highly enough. Having previously had some bad experiences renting, I never thought that I would be writing such a positive review for an estate agent. If you are looking for a property to rent in and around the Langley area as we were, however, Hilton Locke and King come strongly recommended.
21st Feb 2020 (4 years ago)From the moment David came by to value and appraise the property it was clear that he and his team we focussed on working for us and giving us the best possible service. Once we were in a position to market the property every sales staff member came to the house and got to know us and the details of each room and feature. There was genuine enthusiasm and energy for finding us a buyer. Regular updates, phone calls and discussions about strategy we always conducted with respect and honesty. Very few time wasters made it through the door and we were delighted to work with them.

24th Aug 2022 (1 year ago)I really wouldn't recommend Signature Estates unfortunately. Selling a flat, no chain other than buyer and seller (us) for one vacant property. Sold at beginning of May22 still not completed by 24/08/2022 - last contact from Signature Estates was at the beginnjng of August. Send numerous emails, no response. Left 3 phone messages, no response. Very little activity, that we can see or are aware of by Sugnature Estates to support the sale. On their "sellers portal" last update for us the sellers was June 2022, last update on buyers progression is stated as July 2022, now being 24/08//2022. It has been extremely hard work with Signature Estates - PLEASE BE AWARE!

11th Apr 2024 (18 days ago)We were delighted with the excellent service provided by Michael Hardy estate agents in selling our house, in what was a challenging market at the end of 2023. The marketing was spot on, and Ben relatively quickly secured a very good offer. When unfortunately this offer fell through due to other buyers at the bottom of the chain pulling out, he quickly secured a second satisfactory offer, which we accepted. He remained positive but realistic throughout, and kept us up to date at all times. Jane then very efficiently and successfully saw the sale through to completion, was ever dynamic and positive, and managed all interactions with great tact and patience! She kept us regularly up to date about progress. And Daragh stepped in as and when necessary - We really felt well looked after by the whole team - A very big thank you from us all!

They are vague, bullying and uncaring. We encountered so much dishonesty, insulting/rude behaviour and general pitfalls and grey areas that would never happen with any company of even modest repute. AVOID at all costs.
30th Jan 2024 (13 weeks ago)I originally contacted Jacob to carry out a probate valuation of my late parents property. I was impressed as this was done respectfully and with empathy. This was a 'driver' when the property later went up for sale, and the reason I selected Orchid Estate Agents. Jacob was professional throughout the sale. He has excellent communication skills. He gave regular pertinent updates, and addressed any queries and concerns. He is the best estate agent I have dealt with, and a credit to his profession. Many thanks from my family

I wanted to schedule a viewing for the week but only one person was able to show the house who wasn't available at the time we requested. I've made 3 attempts to now contact this individual and they have still not replied or returned my phonecall. Disgusting service. Renting property shouldn't be this hard.
