1st May 2024 (12 weeks ago)We are due to complete on our first ever house purchase this week and fox and sons have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. Having viewed and attempted to buy a few times over the last few years, we are well versed in the pushy style of other firms and have been nervous of the buying process falling through as it has done on previous properties. From the get go, fox and sons amesbury have been way above any agents we have viewed with in the past. Courtney was relaxed, friendly and informative, allowing a comfortable and unrushed viewing of the property. We took their advice and chose to use the all in services package with sequence/ fox and sons and this has enabled us to step away from a lot of the chasing and allow the different agents to communicate effectively with each other. My husband's working schedule has meant he was unable to visit the property before putting an offer in. HOWEVER: fox and sons have a fantastic video walk round of the property where you can click through the whole building and outside space from different angles. This is accurate and not exaggerated with fish eye lenses etc. This addition enabled my husband to be able to look around the property and discuss it with me and meant we were able to put an offer in without delay. Without this we would not have been able to offer before someone else did. This tool is incredible and such a plus point. It's also meant I can wistfully 'walk around' the property and plan our layouts before completion. Amy has been incredibly informative and reassuring and speaks to you like you're her only client and nothing is a bother. There were issues further up the chain but she explained and reassured us knowing we were nervous as having been burned before with chains failing. Courtney and Amy are an absolute pleasure and I am so happy that we have been fortunate enought to buy through Fox and Sons amesbury. They will be our go to if we ever decide to sell. Customers for life!
30th Jun 2024 (27 days ago)Could have been another 5 star review.. checked out of a flat and left it in perfect condition yet after 5 weeks did not receive my deposit, called and for hours on the phone did not get anywhere other than Vicky trashing the landlord and keep repeating "we can not help you" and hang up on me. Called again asked to speak with the manager who refused to apologise when I told him that Vicky hang up the phone on customers and was very arrogant. landlady passed away and she told the estate agent to release the deposit but no once cared and was missed. had to wait further 2 weeks until next of kin made it in writing Shocking service.. not again

23rd Jul 2024 (4 days ago)They kept us hanging on with a potential buyer who obviously wasn’t going to buy and withdrew after 6 months. We gave Downers the required 4 weeks notice they asked for, and they immediately (same day) withdrew our advert on Rightmove and took down the For Sale sign. They said we would still need to pay them if we found a buyer during that 4 weeks. We eventually sold without an estate agent.

However it is the communication that is excellent. Selling a house can be stressful but at every stage we received guidance, support and clarity. Since then we’ve remortgaged and moved house with the assistance and guidance from Sean Davis. Joining was the best decision made because Sean was always available for advice and help whenever we needed. He kept on top of the mortgage side of things for us and made both processes very easy and as stress free as possible. It really has been an invaluable service. I couldn’t recommend Sean/Sequence enough.

From initial contact to completion has been absolutely spot on from the team. Priced right, plenty of viewings, contact, update, and feedback were always given without me having to chase. Jo, the sales progresser, had her work cut out with my buyers, but she always did everything she could to ensure it all kept ticking along. This was certainly a challenging sale, right up to the 11th hour, but these ladies handled it all so well. Anita, Laura, and Jo, you are all worth your weight in gold. Did I mention they also have the best rate in the market. Would use McFarlane every time.

27th Jun 2024 (30 days ago)We instructed Brearley & Rich after being on the market for 6 months with a different estate agent. We were immediately impressed by their professionalism, as they made a difficult process as easy as it could be for us. For example, after every viewing, we had feedback within the hour, without having to chase them to request it. Their customer service was excellent throughout, they always answered our questions swiftly and returned calls. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.
18th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
30th Jan 2024 (26 weeks ago)One of the worst experiences I have had. Incompetence doesn’t cover it. As someone who demands reliability and integrity I would not use this company. They are poor at communicating and when direct emails are sent they are ignored. If you are a seller I would choose another company as they will more than likely lose you clients. As a buyer I would go direct to the owner of the property and make an off the cards offer and cut them out.- 22nd Jun 2024 (5 weeks ago)Our estate agent, Toby, was friendly and completely professional as well as interested in us as well as property. We were informed every step of the way and truly value and appreciate the help and support they have given us. We are now settling into our new house and are very grateful to Jones Robinson.

1st Jul 2024 (26 days ago)After inviting 6 local agents to the house to appraise and value our property Nick from Home finders came out on top for us. He was interested in what we had done to the house, and recognised its potential being on a large corner plot. He also lived a short distance from our house so had great local knowledge . We found the valuations variable between the agents. As we wanted to use a strategy range to achieve what we believed the property was worth .Many other agents wanted to play safe in order to get a 'Certain sale', some 15 to 20 k lower, which was good for them but not necessarily ourselves . We achieved the best price we possibly could on a near offer basis as we weren't looking for the asking price in the first instance. We just needed an agent who was flexible enough to work with us in this regard. Home finders arranged viewings ,always giving us formal notice which was very handy in order that we could tidy and make sure everything was in its place. We got a formal offer on the property on a subject to contract basis which we were happy with in a little under 4 weeks. All the team at Home finders that i personally dealt with were very professional and effective ,and just get on with the job of selling your house . Obviously there is always a little luck involved as you need to find someone who loves your home as much as you do. So its really about getting the right people through the front door initially, Which Home finders were able to do.

Despite everyone telling us how fantastic our home was we didn’t receive any offers and interest soon dwindled. In August 2023 we appointed Fine & Country Marlborough and what a totally amazing experience from day one! Kate Ormand was our contact and she was truly amazing! She worked tirelessly trying to sell our house and remained positive and encouraging even in times when the market was quiet. She always kept us updated and was always contactable. We cannot praise her enough. Ed and Pip from the Marlborough team were also always helpful and supportive. We sold our house recently and Kate made sure the whole process was as smooth as possible even in challenging times. The old adage ‘you get what you pay for’ couldn’t have been more true as Kate went way above and beyond to ensure our sale was successful. If you’re thinking of selling your home anytime soon do not bother with any other estate agent because Kate and the Marlborough team are simply the best!
