15th Aug 2024 (10 weeks ago)Having a tenancy with MSL has been as you'd expect a tenancy to go. Until it got to the end of it. I left the house with the rooms, living room and kitchen in a good state, nothing a quick hoover and spray couldn't fix. Yet MSL have decided to charge £350 for 'deep cleaning'. I lived there for a full academic year and cleaned every so often as required, and it was never once in a 'deep clean required' state as long as I was there with four other people, let alone after everyone had left and cleaned up behind them. It is a landlord's requirement to have the house cleaned before new tenants move in, why should I be charged for general upkeep of the property? They have also decided that to cover up blue tac stains, they require the entire room to be redecorated because why not right? Charging me £120 for some paint touch ups MSL are a complete joke. It seems they're charging money just because they can. Stay away from them at all costs.

I was concerned that because it is a relatively modest sale that it might take a while. However it sold very quickly at at a price they recommended which was 50% more than I had in mind. Everyone involved was very pleasant and efficient to deal with. Thank you!

31st Jul 2024 (12 weeks ago)Our overall experience with Bettermove is one of disappointment. They sold a model whereby they would market our property to their pool of investors. Essentially they put our house on Rightmove for a slightly higher price then they said they would pay us and left it there. I had to chase for updates and when they responded it was to say that their investors thought the price was an issue! So why didnt you speak to us about that and say what we thought to reducing. I dont actually think they've got investors, just people who want a cash purchase in certain areas. Fortunately we didn't pay Bettermove any money for their services and we ended the contract as soon as we could

His commitment, however, to us as the purchasers was remarkable. We were kept well in the loop of communication and never felt uninformed at all. Ben has a kind, honest and congruent approach which offers a trust to sellers and buyers alike. We would not hesitate to recommend Ben and his team, they’re amazing!
2nd Oct 2024 (21 days ago)I moved my property to iBay after a disappointing few months listing it with another agent. I expressed my desire for a quick sale to make up for lost time whilst the property was with the other agent and was reassured when viewings were getting booked in from the first week under iBay’s helm. My property sale was managed my Laura and Hayley, both of whom were fantastic. They kept me well informed and updated throughout the process, including giving me detailed feedback off the back of viewings and demonstrated initiative in regards to seeking the survey ordered by a prospective buyer. Laura and Hayley went above and beyond in working with my solicitors, I knew I could trust them to share the necessary documentation / information to my solicitor as soon as it landed on their desk. Selling a property is a stressful experience in the best of times, but despite my extenuating circumstances with living in Northern Ireland iBay ensured the process was as painless as possible and for that I would recommend them to anyone selling a property in the Heysham/Morecambe/Lancaster area.

30th Jun 2024 (16 weeks ago)The guy showed us around, so we arranged a second viewing for a family member to come and take a look from a tradesman's perspective. However, he didn't show up. We called him, and he said he forgot and kept saying he wouldn't be long. We waited outside the house for 45 minutes but eventually left. Very unprofessional

5th Jul 2024 (16 weeks ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
