31st Oct 2024 (6 weeks ago)Very friendly staff but so many issues as a renter. We moved into a rental property end of July. Property was not clean on move in date, after being pushed back to allow for this, and no inventory was complete by themselves so that an agent could confirm this. There was some ceiling work which required contractor attention, it was weeks of chasing for an update on this with promises to be called back with zero follow up. The property is gated with key fob to access the car park, we were told on the drive to the property the key fob they have is broken and they would not be able to provide one straight away. 3 months later we are still calling up with the same answer of "I will chase this and get back to you" with no call back until we call again. Access to the property is a standard expectation when renting surely, and a lot of the things we have had problems with are the bare minimum we are having to chase constantly.

22nd Oct 2024 (7 weeks ago)Happened at the Castleford branch but I can see that chris is also rude to other members of the public went in to ask him if he could ring a taxi really grumpy and rang one with attitude and then when I went back in because I was stranded in a different city he was just like you will just have to go and wait for it then completely heartless could of froze should be sacked I hope he is soon.

8th Jul 2024 (22 weeks ago)I contacted this branch to give me a valuation of a property I own. I had a good honest chat about what I wanted with David jones the valuation manager who said he would get back to me within a couple of days. I heard nothing so after 5 days a contacted them again but conveniently David was out of the office so I asked again if he could contact me. What a surprise he couldn’t be bothered to return my call. Avoid using this branch at Wakefield because they will let you down. Very very poor.

I don't feel valued as a customer, the way she dealt with our process of buying a house was not professional and very confusing. I would never recommend this agency for any of my friends and I will not be buying a house with them.

I feel they could have been more determined to not only get me feedback but act on it. They accepted feedback given without further probing. I have gone to another estate agent and have been much more satisfied with them.

They are both extremely professional in what they do but at the same time very helpful and friendly can't thank them enough and would highly recommend this company.

She was so helpful throughout the whole process. Gemma and Danielle also kept us fully informed and provided an excellent service. The whole process took approximately 8 months to complete. 8 months where Leanne was available to us 24/7 ( I'm sure she doesn't sleep lol) Amazing communication throughout the whole process where she would contact every single person in the chain and would come back to me within minutes. The reassurance, the patience and the professionalism is honestly amazing. I've cried and I've laughed so much throughout the process and Leanne was always there for me and my family. If above and beyond was a person that would be Leanne. If you are thinking of buying or selling a house and are looking for a down to earth team , Kestrel is your estate agent! I just couldn't recommend them enough. I cannot put into words all the help and support this amazing team gave me and my family. Even after the collection of the keys, Leanne kept in touch , asking if we were okay and if we were settled in. 31st Jul 2024 (19 weeks ago)Our overall experience with Bettermove is one of disappointment. They sold a model whereby they would market our property to their pool of investors. Essentially they put our house on Rightmove for a slightly higher price then they said they would pay us and left it there. I had to chase for updates and when they responded it was to say that their investors thought the price was an issue! So why didnt you speak to us about that and say what we thought to reducing. I dont actually think they've got investors, just people who want a cash purchase in certain areas. Fortunately we didn't pay Bettermove any money for their services and we ended the contract as soon as we could

From the outset Martin was great, he made time to meet us at short notice and out of hours. He didn't try to oversell the property and was very genuine and honest. He wanted a fair deal for both his client and myself as the buyer. Unlike other estate agents Martin works very fast and does a great job to get the deal over the line, no shady business practices here, all open and honest. Unlike many other big estate agents who take days getting back to you Martin works very fast and is easy to approach. Martin gives you his personal mobile number so communication is very quick, no delays. If your selling a house i wouldn't hesitate in using Martin at Ewemove as your estate agent. You wont be disappointed. Stay away from the big high street estate agents, they will tie you into a 6 month contract and then won't care if your house sells or not.
