I rented a house. I had only one neighbour with the windows looking at my private back garden. Every time the grass in the back garden was overgrown, Bentons sent an email saying that someone had complained about the poor maintenance of the garden. When I asked who was complaining about the garden I never got an answer.
After 1.5 years living there and several anonymous complains, I explained Bentons that (1) I had discovered that my neighbour worked at Bentons (I could see their pictures and names from the webpage) and (2) it was not correct that I would receive complains every time the grass in my back garden (not visible from the street) was overgrown. 1 day after, I received a letter asking to leave the property in two months. The house was rented 2 weeks after I left.
I should have maintained the garden more often, Bentons should not have spied and bullied me with anonymous complains, causing me a considerable amount of stress.
I would not rent from them again and I would not recommend them. It was a bad experience.
(Actualisation: More than 25 days to get the deposit back!!)

Moved into my flat last july after being told it was ready! It was a total craphole nothing had been done! Leaders after they sorted stuff out which only half had been done where a nightmare I called them over 100 times in my stay in the flat in Sileby damp stinks if it was not for me pushing nothing would have been done! Had to call the landlord and most of the time leaders did not call him email him. My health has suffered physical and mentally I was ill anyway and moving into this flat was a massive mistake!!! I would never use leaders ever again my main thoughts are useless staff that don't care the branch manager she was great but the staff under her are a joke! The branch manager at Quorn Amy was very good but again the rest rubbish! Felt lied too 90% of the time no feel good factor so glad I moved! Charnwood council are brilliant light years in front of this shower
Such patience! I had sold my own property privately and was buying through James Sellicks, so technically I wasn't their client. However, they guided me through the process with expertise and professionalism. Alex, Henry and especially Caroline were brilliant. I can't rate them highly enough and would recommend their services. They phoned when they said they would and kept me informed all the way through.
After experiencing problems with our first agent, the James Sellicks team in Oakham stepped in and did a first rate, professional job in selling our house. In no time at all we had received several offers. Henry, Caroline and Alex were always on hand to help and their service level is personal and fantastic. They are realistic concerning pricing and who to market to and we only wish we had chosen James Sellicks in the first place. Terrible service. Currently waiting over a month to get my deposit back. They said it's because the people taking over my old place didn't pay their deposit quick enough, so they had to extend my tendency by a month. That's not my problem, it's theirs. My tendency ended in October... it's now December and I still haven't received it. DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENT IF YOU WANT YOUR DRPOSIT BACK ON TIME!!!!... edit: I still haven't received the deposit but found out I'm not getting the full amount back due to "admin fees". Awful. 1 star is giving them too much credit. They deserve -5 stars.
