Charlotte at the Oakham Office is the epitome of good Customer Service. First impressions count. Charlotte is, first and foremost, a good listener. She then considers, asks the right questions and then does what she says she's going to do - utterly trustworthy and reliable; never has to be chased for an answer. Not only has she got bags of knowledge, skill and experience but she blends these qualities with a heartwarming personality. You know you're in safe hands.
Efficiency with a smile.
Charlotte was our primary contact but the support from Kelly and the boss - 'Go Ask Alice - I Think She'll Know' - was equally as impressive.
A first-rate team - I cannot recommend them enough.
Multi-national corporations should watch and learn.

The team at Osprey are far ahead of the other agencies when it comes to the propoerty rental experience. I've lived in rented homes for almost 30 years and the landlord/agent is usually hard work. But not this time. Many thanks to Osprey. They help us a lot. We are new to UK and have looked for several rental properties but the agents were not really helpful. Some even requested us to provide N.I. number. That was an excuse to reject us, I think. Osprey is very helpful and really take care of the property. They have replaced the faulty boiler, got a new tap for the kitchen, replaced the door bell, ... They set everything in very good conditions so that we really enjoy it. Thanks again!

Rude and extremely unprofessional telephone manner. The agent who I spoke didn’t like my questions and impertinently stated he was busy (“what’s the reason for your call, I am busy”). Then when I said I’m busy myself his response was: “you don’t sound busy”. Think twice if you’d like to do business with such arrogant individuals.

This is a very good place to go through if you are looking to rent
We have been with them over and year now and we have had no problems
Everyone in the office we have spoken to is really nice.
If you ever have a problem then they are quite quick to sort it out and if you are struggling with anything they are very understanding
I would recommend osprey lettings to anyone and if you get Chloe managing you then you will have no problems

Excellent service from Osprey Property Oakham. Jamie was proactive in getting the ball rolling and for contacting me back in February to see if I was ready to sell. Already having a possible buyer in mind it reassured me that this was the right time to sell and with the right agent. When it went live, the process was so quick and had my first viewing (and offer) within hours!
Vicky, gave me weekly updates both with my sale and purchase. I always found her very professional, efficient and friendly - valuable qualities in helping me feel reassured in the whole process which can be quite daunting at times.

Terrible experience during the check out at the end of the tenancy. The agent was very unprofessional and unfairly hold part of the deposit. Luckily, almost after a year of dispute, the DPS decided to give me back the disputed amount. Reading other reviews appears that this is a quite regular problem that other tenants faced as well.

Due to a change in my purchasing circumstances, I needed to find an unoccupied property within a specific area that I could buy and move to promptly. I knew Osprey and one other had such a property available. I rang Osprey on the Monday, met Jamie at the premises the next morning and made an offer subject to a prompt yes/no.
The essence of my purchase was to have an agent that could 'react'. Jamie rang me later to explain that the vendor needed more time to consider my offer and would chase for a final reply by the end of the day Wednesday. This he did, the transaction was agreed and 4 weeks later I moved.
Jamie was able to gauge the sincerity of my enquiry and reacted promptly under the difficult circumstances of Covid restrictions.

Initially they seemed interested in marketing my property but that soon dropped off after they found an unsuitable buyer - of course no one knows what way the property market will go in current times but they wanted to reduce the price so much it put me out of the market. ospreys are a nice ‘best of the bunch’ estate agency. However, estate agents really do need to up their game now. They have provided in general a rubbish customer journey so far yet charge the earth for doing so. Ideally finding one who talks to their clients regularly would be a massive UPS. I lost money during this failed sale and offered no genuine apology.

It has been awhile since I have left my experience behind with this estate agent- it will be a year that I moved out of the property but it was a lasting experience and not at all a good one.
I moved into the property under a different estate agent and in less than a year the property had moved agents 3 times. While living there, during the heatwave of the summer, our furnished refrigerator broke. It took two weeks and countless phone calls to get them to replace it. They told me it was the landlord's fault for not ordering a new one. It was miserable for us- no one at Osprey cared. I got a knock on the door one day and it was a handyman servicing the apartments in the other parts of the building that the landlord owned. He said 'here's your fridge- I've pulled it out of one of the other apartments.' I couldn't believe it- the landlord had only just found out we needed a new and organised another one that day- two weeks later. Osprey lied.
Upon leaving the flat it was a nightmare. Countless calls because they had lost information from the other estate agents. I had to deal with Alice Verity, and I can say it was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I was due back rent and it took 8 ignored emails over four weeks for me to say I was contacting the Ombudsman for her to do anything about it.
I would literally never go with this estate agent even if they were selling my dream home for an unbeatable price. Alice Verity should not be managing- even the receptionist alluded that nothing was being done because of her and she supported my decision to contact the Ombudsman.

Awful experience. They never answer the phone no one gets back to you!!! I called several times no answer. After a week the property was given to some else. Emma so rude and unhelpful. They lost a 2-3 year contact so land lords be warned. With a year up front paid.

Following a review of all Estate Agents covering the Oakham area we selected Osprey Sales and Lettings to act as our agents in the sale of my parent's house. This selection was based on their detailed evidence based pricing alongside an appropriately professional approach. Do not use this letting agency if you expect to get your deposit back fairly. They pocket it for themselves, Alice even admitted this on the phone. Numerous friends have used them and same experience as myself. People even charged for 'removal of goods' that where already in the property to begin with. And when new tenant had moved in the goods where still there. An absolute first class disgrace.

I had a good experience with them initially as the renting process went smoothly, however it was followed by a shocking experience when I reported some maintenance issues. Several weeks past and most of my maintenance issues are completely ignored. I cannot get hold of property manager as my calls and messages for her are ignored and she does not attend to my emails on time. I asked to speak to the branch manager and was promised a call back, but I have not received a call after a week despite of having several outstanding maintenance problems.
Ospery Lettings is not a professional letting agency as they claim, due to incompetence in delivering the core of their business, taking care of tenant requests and properties. We have used Osprey Lettings for two years now. They are extremely efficient with great attention to details. They handle everything from letting the property, check in inventories and check out inventories, tenancy agreements in fact everything.We do not need to worry about anything as we know it will all be handled with their usual expertise.

We wouldn't use any other lettings company now. We had mixed experiences with other companies. Alice and Isobel have let two houses out for us now and found two great tenants and helped us build up a relationship with them. Always professional, helpful and friendly. this letting agency are awful, they conned me into telling me that i could have a small yorkshire terrier in one of their 2 bedroomed flats in wellingborough (where other people already had dogs !) we paid our money for credit checks and deposits told them we would be putting our house up for sale so had to pay for that.
then 6 weeks later ALICE emailed me telling me that it would still be ok for us to move in and i made sure that is was still ok to have smudge there as he is my comfort because im disabled and she has now said we cant have smudge with us
i dont know what i can do, they gave me the money back that we gave them, but we have lost the money for putting our house up for sale and for the storage unit we agreed to rent out.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENT THEY HAVE NO CONSISTENCY TO PEOPLE WHO NEED TO LET THE PROPERTIES
needless to say the person who has the dog in the same block of flat is still there!!!!!
