25th Apr 2026 (9 days ago)We had a poor experience of trying to buy a 3 bedroom terraced house in the South Park Gardens area with Ellisons Wimbledon from September 2025 to January 2026. After completing our first viewing with Amanda in September which was well managed, our second viewing was at 1pm with Mahul. He arrived at least 5 minutes late, then asked us several times to leave the property before 1:15pm with the next viewers standing outside. Whilst I know this is a successful high pressure sales tactic, it is disappointing to experience this when making such an important decision. When our offer was accepted, Ellisons told us to open a bottle of bubbly, celebrate and that the property was taken off the market. A day later Ellisons phoned stating another offer had been received and we should increase our offer. I recognise gazumping is allowed and a decision for the sellers but this seems to be condoned by Ellisons. The communication from Ellisons was very poor during conveyancing where we had to chase for almost everything. On 2 occasions Ellisons stated information from the seller had not been received because they had gone into my solicitor’s virus checker when in fact the information simply had not been sent. Ultimately, because of a serious conveyancing issue which was only revealed to us near the point of exchange we were forced to withdraw our offer. I feel Ellisons made the purchasing process extremely difficult and would not recommend them to anyone for buying/selling a property. We’ve had a much more positive experience with other Wimbledon estate agents since.

I would like to especially mention Rachel, the Senior Lease Negotiator, for her excellent work. Rachel proved to be a true professional and guided the rental process from the beginning to the signing of the contract. Her communication was clear, friendly and always timely. Thanks to Rachel, the process of renting an apartment was easy, fast and stress-free. She was always in touch, explaining all the nuances that we did not understand. I recommend Foxton and especially Rachel to everyone who appreciates a professional approach, honesty and a high level of service.

Right from the get-go they were all over every aspect of the sale and in constant communication with the various parties. She went over and beyond what would have normally been expected of her role - right from coordinating with lawyers to helping with moving furniture! Would highly recommend TLC to other sellers.

In doing so, I can ‘keep an eye’ to ensure that all of us are up to date with Willmotts’ notices and correspondence. My said relatives are currently living outside London and busy whilst I am resident, having enjoyed the good estate management service by Willmotts for years to date. 18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

From start to finish, he was professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. Alexander went above and beyond to make everything as smooth and stress-free as possible. He was always quick to answer questions, kept me well informed, and showed real care in making sure everything was handled properly. It’s rare to find someone so reliable and approachable in this industry. The whole experience felt efficient and well-managed, and I always felt supported at every step. If you’re looking for an estate agent who truly goes the extra mile, I would definitely recommend Parkes—and especially Alexander.

Professionalism and positive from start to finish from all the agents, particularly the lead agent heading my sale. All doubts or questions immediately fielded and answered. Everything took its time which I gathered is normal, but the final outcome, the sale, was optimum. Thank you Foxtons Wimbledon.
- 18th Apr 2026 (16 days ago)They scam people like it’s a normal thing to do. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY!!! You need to investigate everything by yourself to triple make sure and then put everything into the contract if they promise anything. Just an example during our purchase: Purchased this flat with bathroom leak. Promised it’s already fixed. Got a surveyor myself and got back to me it’s still leaking. Promised again it’s fixed. Promised us for the 3rd time, just before the purchase!!! said “they spent £4000 to fix it properly” Bought the flat, moved in, even not a single sign that the bath panel is opened. All silicone around it are old. And, it’s still leaking with severe damp issue (damp meter showing 45%) Asked them to fix after the purchase but don’t get any reply after weeks.
