Would not hesitate to recommend Your Move, hassle free service, estate agent you can actually trust
DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENT. We paid £250 for a joint application for rental on a property. Both being self-employed, we enquired as to whether this would be a problem or not. We were told not and 'that we deal with self-employed people all of the time'. The 3rd party company - Clearview - did not do their job properly and resulted in us making multiple phone calls to them to chase the progress. After 3 weeks and 3 days, we were told by Your Move that we had failed because together we didn't mean the required income to rent the property. However, we do and our shared accountant confirmed this 3 days later. At this point, I called Josh at Your Move back to chase this up, and he said he'd chase the application and call me back later that day. At this point, I noticed that the property was back on their website available for other people to apply for. It turns out that Clearview do not accept applications from newly self-employed customers, that being self-employed for less an a year. The application was made 2 weeks before I had been self-employed for over a year - however, this didn't matter, nor did it matter that we earn well over the required income. At this point, we're over a month since we first applied and had only heard from Your Move at 5:55pm by email on a Friday, meaning we couldn't call back and discuss this until Monday. Josh didn't call me back, as promised. I ended up calling him again the next day, his excuse 'sorry, I got busy with something'. Not good enough. The end result is that Your Move, although using Clearview and stating that being self-employed wouldn't be a problem, didn't know Clearview's policy, meaning I paid £150 for a set of account's doing and £250 for an application that would have never gone through anyway. Had I being told this at the beginning, I wouldn't have made the application. So, now I'm waiting for a full refund - and guess what - having to call to speak to Josh because he doesn't call back. I'm just about to call him for the 6th time, and exactly 9 days since he first said he would start authorising the refund. I am beyond annoyed at Your Move and Clearview.
Brilliant estate agent who were very accomodating throughout the process. Great communications and we would definitely recommend Newton Fallowell
Brilliant company - read the whole review for the whole story!
I have used Newton Fallowell now to buy 1 house, to rent 1 house and to sell one yesterday. (The sale was very tight as the buyer was "buying to let" and needed to complete before 31 March.) My dealings with the company have been over 4 years.
I have always found them efficient, competent and quick to assess the best way forward. They also have good senses of humour. I will, no doubt, use them for other business in the future.
I would recommend them highly.
Absolute w***ers!!!! Upon applying for tenancy I had to do their admin for them! Even though I paid a large admin fee! I had to draw up my own authority to disclose contract to send to the council to release my reference to William H Brown, the lady at Bassetlaw council who I spoke to said in the 35 years she had worked there she had never heard of a tenant having to do such a thing, and it's always the estate agents who do it.
We've paid our rent on time every month for the past two years, without exception! Yet every month without fail we receive letters, emails, phone calls, saying we are in arrears, and we tell them every time that it's been paid, they take one look on their computer and see it has in fact been paid! I understand oversights happen, but every month? What a joke!
Also they will not leave us alone! Wanting to send people round to do this and that all the time! They want to do inspections every 3 months! Which I find a complete invasion of privacy! The snotty pr*ck that comes round wants to poke around in my bedroom and everything! Absolutely disgusting service from these clowns! I urge anyone looking to buy, sell or rent a property to avoid William H Brown at all costs!
Also check "trust pilot" there isn't a single review above 1 star!
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!
Avoid! These agents are age discriminate and tell lies! we applied for a house that THEY didn't believe we were suitable for!! So upon handing in our application, they told us to wait a week to hear about the outcome, which was clearly stalling for time so someone older and "more suitable" applied. I'm not used to being judged like that! And I'm 26, not a child!! I'm absolutely furious and will be seeking legal advice.
Also the agent doing the viewing was 20 minutes late! Also she was rude and abrupt, and the fees were absolutely extortionate! £150 for the first tennant and £90 for others! And a further £100 to draw up a basically generic tenancy agreement, Obviously these guys are sooo upper class and their time is extremely valuable!
I advise anyone (especially people under 50) to avoid these agents at all costs.
Also changed their Facebook page so my negative review wouldn't show up! Absolute swindlers! As dishonest as they come!
