30th Dec 2023 (17 weeks ago)When selling our house recently, we had quotes from local estate agents and chose Fox and Sons because they actually seemed to care and take an interest in us and our house! We were glad we did as we thought they were fantastic, Beth, Leon and Matt were friendly, helpful, professional and always available to answer any of our questions. (No matter how random they were!) Leon kept us updated throughout the process and we definitely felt that we were in good hands. Whilst Fox and Sons may not be the cheapest option, it was definitely worth it and we would thoroughly recommend them

18th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)We used Savills Exeter to sell our residence in North Devon. The process was very smooth from start to finish, especially impressive given a challenged trading environment and interest rate uncertainty. We achieved our target price with a very harmonious closing process. I think both the Buyer and Seller should equally feel good about the transaction, facilitated in no small part due to Savills Exeter. Of particular note was Chris Clifford's professionalism and exceptional communication skills that went above and beyond - a great comfort to my wife and me. Recommended.
15th Feb 2024 (10 weeks ago)This estate agency is absolutely terrible. As a person trying to buy a home they are rude on the phone and don’t seem proactive, or fussed. I think it’s the worst estate agency I’ve come across and it’s a shame because they seem the prominent agency in Dorset and Devon (perhaps they know they have the monopoly). I’m now searching for homes that are with other estate agents

Always professional, even when it gets stressful, Helen was a godsend and was always at the end of the phone when we needed her. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

As we were selling from another area they went over and above helping with viewings EPC issues etc. They guided us through every aspect of the sale in a calm and professional manner. Could not recommend them more highly.
8th Apr 2024 (17 days ago)Offer to buy a house was accepted and it was up to our surveyors to highlight a Grade 2 listing. Whilst Knight Frank ‘empathise’ we are at considerable out of pocket expense. Property now correctly advertised as listed and whatever the background of who claims what, the agent is expected to have carried out due diligence to confirm facts of what they are marketing. Knight Frank Exeter blame their customer and empathise with potential buyer where legislation states an agent must disclose all information before costs related to surveying or conveying are undertaken. However, this shoddy outfit shirk all responsibility; what a reflection of where we are in todays world. Referring to ombudsman as customer service are running on pastoral ‘empathy’ rather than address a problem where potential buyers remain considerably out of pocket. Our contract was with Knight Frank and their codes of ethics and standards where due diligence is the foundation. The Exeter office has failed miserably to address their duty of professional responsibility. Buyers (and sellers) beware! (investigation response was that "we didn't know, not out fault") With a pending county court claim all is resolved!

No real communication, with us contacting to bring them up to date, and asking for more interaction from them. Their bill went in on exchange day, but no contact to us - no thanks, card, Champagne. Go for purple bricks, not used but cheaper!

2nd Oct 2023 (6 mo. ago)We have recently sold our property with Jasper and the lovely ladies in the office at Ware Commercial and could not fault their effort and support. All of the team are incredibly knowledgeable about getting the best results for you. They will offer professional advice when dealing with solicitors (their advice was much better than our solicitor's - saving us thousands of pounds). An incredible team that I can't recommend enough.

19th Jul 2020 (3 years ago)Went to view a 2 bedroom property through Penny’s the agent didn’t show when I called he told me he hadn’t confirmed. When asked at what point would he let me know the very rude gentleman proved to be extremely unprofessional I asked for the manager and was then cut off I later called and spoke to Goodenough he was extremely defefensive, unhelpful and arrogant I wrote to the directors - equally as useless This branch is totally useless don’t use Sadly they are the sole agents of some very nice properties in Bernards Farm. Devon Shame the vendor doesn’t realise what a useless waste of space he’s contracted.

Unfortunately once we’d signed up, they weren’t reliable and didn’t communicate with us regularly. Phone calls weren’t returned, our agent was never available when we rang. Feedback only given twice in 6 months. We have now taken our property off the market until next year.
