18th Oct 2026 (19 days ago)This is easily the worst estate agent experiences I've ever had.
This is purely from the experience of trying to buy a property through them, and if this is how they treat potential buyers, I would hate to think what their sellers would make of it.
Properties are taken off the market and then put back on again, with little or no explanation. You email asking for clarification and get no reply. I even went as far as making a formal complaint to head office, only to be completely ignored.
To make matters worse, I've seen an auction property listed as “under offer” three days before the auction was even due to start. How does that happen? I appreciate that pre-auction offers can be made, but surely potential buyers deserve clear and accurate information about a property's status.
The lack of communication, the failure to respond to enquiries, and the complete lack of acknowledgement of a formal complaint have been extremely disappointing.
If I were selling a property, I'd seriously question whether this is the level of service I'd want from the estate agent representing me. Potential buyers should be treated with basic courtesy and professionalism, and in my experience, that has been sorely lacking here.
Based on my personal experience, I would struggle to recommend them.

Since signing up with Howard’s I have had the pleasure of dealing with Cara.
Cara came to my home was nothing but respectful, honest, it felt like a friend has come to see me, but was completely respectful and it was clear she knew her market and viewers to reach and how to market my unique property.
Cara is professional, kind , honest and does what she says she does, a rare gem for an estate
Agency.
She has manage to get many viewings and her response time is excellent, she also listens to the customer and is holistic in the sale.
You do not feel like you are just a number! I hope she sells my property( don’t tell the other agent) ….. I said that though.
I wouldn’t hesitate in using Cara’s to any potential sellers looking for a standout agent.

It was a very complicated house purchase, and has taken months, but Jade has been incredible throughout - she was always happy to speak with us and chase people and solicitors along the chain, and gave detailed updates which meant we could fully trust in her to get us to exchange. Winkworth is lucky to have her.
