We are absolutely disgusted at the state our home has been left in. For a long time, we have been battling to get essential repairs carried out after being left with multiple leaks, collapsing ceilings, damaged belongings, and areas of our home that were completely unsafe to enter due to the severity of the damage. When Revive were appointed to carry out the court-ordered work, we made it clear from the beginning that while our frustration lay with the housing association RIVERSIDE HOUSING, we were grateful they were there to put things right. They hadn’t caused the damage, and we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, that has completely changed. In all our time living in a housing association property, we have seen our fair share of poor contractors, but this goes far beyond that. The workmanship is unacceptable. On top of that, the attitude has been just as bad. We have been spoken to in a condescending manner, as though we are incapable of understanding what is being explained. The manager, who we believe is called Rob, was overheard speaking to the housing association about how they could “get away” with not completing the work or fixing their mistakes, while casually discussing applying to other jobs on indeed. That level of unprofessionalism is shocking. Adding to this, the contractors who were supposed to be completing the work were often found leaving early, joking about “being back next week” when the job was supposed to already be completed and just honestly having poor attitudes. (The two plasterers who done the initial work were lovely so please exclude them from this review as they worked hard given the pressure put on them and tidied up completely). I’m not sure if I need to write more on the repair side of things as the pictures speak for themselves. The floor boards lift up when walking on them, the tiles are not secured to the wall or tanked, the lino is cut poorly and not sealed, the plug socket was plastered into the wall instead of being removed. The wall is now not flush to the floor tiles, as it was before, so Jay thought that they could just grout the gap in and say it was like that beforehand even though we have proof that it wasn’t. This was caused by replacing 3x2 beams with 1.5x2.5 which the plasterers confirmed. The whole cladding was meant to be replaced due to holes and rodents getting in to the loft, but instead they just painted a patch of it. We had pipes boxed in that they have not redone when removing it to do the bathroom, and they’ve just plastered over the mouldy walls claiming that some mould spray that you can buy from B&M will do the trick....
