3rd Sep 2024 (6 days ago)Had an excellent experience so far, spoke with Claire over the phone and she was very friendly and sought to help me as much as she could. I ended up speaking with Ben, one of their mortgage advisors as well who was very knowledgeable and managed to source me some great mortgage offers!

Their service and support is genuinely unmatched and I would go to them for future leggings without a shadow of a doubt. They are the kindest and most helpful people with genuine care and support for their customers! 3rd Jul 2024 (10 weeks ago)I am very grateful for all the team, even though my purchase wasn’t through them, the sales team, Nial and Reo was still very helpful whenever needed! I used Dean Bickley for my mortgage advisor and couldn’t recommend him enough, always on hand when needed. Very helpful and helped me all the way through my purchase! Overall I highly recommend using the team for any house buying or selling!

Constant and regular communication throughout the whole process. I’ve approached this process very cautiously, and with a lot of nerves, but she has been incredibly patient and understanding. She’s been great at taking me through the process in a way that I understand, and I’ve felt supported throughout. This was always going to be stressful undertaking, but the guidance and support I’ve received from Phoebe has been a massive relief. The rest of the team at the Mansfield office have been just as amazing - Lewis, Josh and Abigail. They’ve all been professional and friendly, from start to finish. Five stars, very happy!

Elysia and Taylah were not only friendly and patient, but also very professional and took their time for addressing all our concerns and answering all our questions. Also her primary assessment was professional. But also the whole letting team proved to be very competent and helpful. ????

16th Jul 2024 (8 weeks ago)All staff I dealt with were very professional and friendly. Valuation was £130 - £140,000. Final sale price £95,400. Lots of viewings took place, very well handled. However, all viewers stated that the property was hugely overvalued. I feel that a more realistic valuation originally would have prepared me more for the final outcome. It is not helpful to overvalue.- 23rd Aug 2024 (17 days ago)Clare in particular was brilliant. Courteous, professional and understanding. Whilst the solicitors were reactive , rather than proactive, and a certain local estate agent beginning with M didn't want to get involved, when the going got tough, Clare was the only one keeping me informed of events. The rest were useless. Well done Clare, thank you.
27th Aug 2024 (13 days ago)Although staff were pleasant at all times, the management service was not good. There were costly errors during the tenancy, communication wasn't great either. We have received an apology for these. We are grateful to the agency for finding new tenants, but in light of our experience, have decided to manage the property ourselves

18th Mar 2024 (25 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

The main issue and reason for the low scores is their very poor communication with ourselves and with viewers. They were relying on an auto email system to confirm viewings. We never received any of those emails and had a number of viewers that never turned up. Having cleaned the house from top to bottom and sat waiting to have no shows, then find out the no shows had never received confirmation of the viewing was very annoying. The last viewer that turned up told us it took 3 attempts to arrange a viewing and she was at the point of just putting a note through our door to arrange directly. Without the viewings you can't sell, so to have so much of our time wasted we cannot recommend this company.

16th Aug 2024 (24 days ago)My whole experience with Staton Mortgages was absolutely incredible and I would not have gotten through the house buying process. At my first appointment Clare spent over two hours going through the whole process with me making sure I understood everything as a first time buyer. My house buying process was not straight forward and had a few bumps and both Clare and Emma supported me every step of the way, even after my mortgage was offered they still continued to provide support, answering every silly little question I had! They are both worth their weight in gold!
5th Jul 2024 (9 weeks ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
