From the very beginning, everyone who works there has been professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful.. with a special mention to Beti! Throughout our tenancy, any issues or maintenance requests were addressed promptly and effectively. Beti was always available to answer questions and provided clear communication, ensuring that we felt supported and well-informed. The property was well-maintained and exactly as described, making our living comfortable and enjoyable. Moving out was equally smooth. I highly recommend Bartrop and Dilks to anyone looking for a reliable and professional estate agent. Thank you for making our rented experience so positive!

Unfortunately we’ve had to cancel our contract early due to family reasons and Alberta who handled everything for us couldn’t have been more helpful and understanding. Would highly recommend.

The whole team went above and beyond for us and we can’t thank them enough . We would highly recommend Newton and Fallowell .
3rd Jul 2024 (24 days ago)I am very grateful for all the team, even though my purchase wasn’t through them, the sales team, Nial and Reo was still very helpful whenever needed! I used Dean Bickley for my mortgage advisor and couldn’t recommend him enough, always on hand when needed. Very helpful and helped me all the way through my purchase! Overall I highly recommend using the team for any house buying or selling!

From the first contact of arranging valuation with Josh to him attending my home has been one of the best experiences I could of had in the scary world of buying and selling a house. Impeccable professionalism and attention to detail from how he was dressed, the knowledge he had and the lovely comfortable feel he gave off. No pressure to sell with them. Phoebe also on the mortgage side of things I could not fault. Everything explained in terms I understood. I can not wait to see what the future holds working with this agent. Highly recommended. Photos where taken on a Thursday the house was up on Rightmove on the Monday, had 6 viewings and 2 offers on the Friday. I was kept upto date at all times, and cannot thank the team enough, especially Imogen who mainly dealt with me after i accepted an offer. Cant recommend them highly enough.

Within the first week we had 3 viewings one of which turned into an offer. Throughout the process from Leanne at valuation to Maisie and Emily during the viewing and bid process they have been excelllent.

7th Jul 2024 (20 days ago)When you have a house for sale they send you unsolicited mail frequently even though you ask them not to. If your that desperate for new property it shows how good you are attemping to poach against competitors for sales.
16th Jul 2024 (11 days ago)All staff I dealt with were very professional and friendly. Valuation was £130 - £140,000. Final sale price £95,400. Lots of viewings took place, very well handled. However, all viewers stated that the property was hugely overvalued. I feel that a more realistic valuation originally would have prepared me more for the final outcome. 18th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

The main issue and reason for the low scores is their very poor communication with ourselves and with viewers. They were relying on an auto email system to confirm viewings. We never received any of those emails and had a number of viewers that never turned up. Having cleaned the house from top to bottom and sat waiting to have no shows, then find out the no shows had never received confirmation of the viewing was very annoying. The last viewer that turned up told us it took 3 attempts to arrange a viewing and she was at the point of just putting a note through our door to arrange directly. Without the viewings you can't sell, so to have so much of our time wasted we cannot recommend this company.

5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)From the moment that Shaun walked into my late parents’ home to value it, my boyfriend and I knew he was the right estate agent to go with. From the beginning to the end, Shaun was friendly, honest, upfront and very respectful of the difficult time I was going through after losing my mother. As I live in London and couldn’t be at the house often, Shaun would go the extra mile to check on it, organise and supervise repairs after a leak was discovered and even returned to the property after the sale had taken place to collect some belongings that I left behind that had huge sentimental value. I have no hesitation in recommending Shaun to anyone. I couldn’t recommend anyone more. You will definitely feel looked after.

5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!

Jules, Amelia and Jessica were absolutely fantastic is successfully selling the house in less than 48 hours, at our preferred sale price, and were brilliant in progressing the sale to complete within an efficent time frame. Their customer service, professionalism and transparency is unmatched and I recommend them to any person looking to sell their home in the future. Thank you so much!

Emma Atkinson was absolutely amazing- she kept us fully informed about the property we applied to rent, was always extremely friendly and seemed almost as happy as us when we were approved! I think I must have phoned the agency about 3-4 times throughout the process with questions, and nothing was ever too much trouble- couldn’t recommend them enough :)
