We initially got in contact with William H Brown to value our house. The lady which came was friendly and knowledgable and gave us a very good valuation service. We were invited to speak with Ed the mortgage advisor with regards to looking to potentially new mortgages. He was exceptionally knowledgeable but also realistic and straight to the point as he made no false promises, the market which he had access to was amazing and we could get some amazing rates through him we couldn’t get elsewhere. We eventually decided not to sell at this time but we were due to remortgage as our fixed term was ending, so we decided to stay with Ed as we didn’t feel like our previous broker worked in our best interest. Ed was always able to speak with us and go through different options and nothing was too much of an ask! We settled on a fantastic rate for the current interest rate - his expertise and knowledge of the market advised us correctly and we were able to secure a fantastic rate! It’s fantastic that we’ve got a mortgage broker for life now with a one off payment, which also lets us have discounts with William H Brown when we finally decide to sell! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!

Would definitely recommend using Ed as a mortgage broker as he took away all the worries, stress and hassle of sorting and arranging my mortgage. He found the best deal to suit me and was really proactive in keeping me in the loop and updated.

i travelled over 100 miles to view a house to then be told the house was sold. they knew this before we travelled but still let us come. they are very unprofessional. they don't answer their phones and call you back days later. please avoid buying a house from this company. they will just waste your time. not honest. we made an offer of £5000 over the asking price and i am not sure mu offer was put to the vendor. avoid avoid.

I recently just sold my house using William H Brown in Chesterfield which was great from start to finish. Our mortgage advisor Sally Nashir who I previously used 3 years ago to purchase said house now works from the Worksop branch. I contacted Sally straight away as soon as my partner and I were looking to move. Sally was amazing from start to finish and booked an appointment with us to start looking at mortgage options for our new house. Any problems that we had Sally would always have an answer with us almost immediately or within a couple of hours if it was something that needed looking into. This was always greatly appreciated. I have no intentions of moving again any time soon now we have found our forever home however, when our mortgage is up for renewal Sally will be the first person I contact.

Sold and bought through William H Brown, and have no complaints on that side of the business. My daughter moved into a flat through William H Brown, and everything was fine until the tenancy agreement came to an end. We are now over 3 weeks and still have not got the bond back, William H Brown are blaming the deposit holding company, and the deposit holding company are blaming the branch at Worksop. We are caught in the middle, and no one seems to be doing anything about it!! My next step is to seek legal advice, but be wary, as this will certainly happen again to someone else!!!

What a great company especially n the lettings side. They bent over backwards to try and get the property in a state where it could be occupied on the given day. The van as booked so we were with uncertainty the day before. In the end they persuaded the landlady to use their own gas engineers to sign it off fit for purpose. I am looking to buy my first buy to let property and after registering my details with quite a few agents I have found these guys to be really knowledgable and informative. Laura has kept me up to date with new properties that come on the market and even phones me just to see how I'm getting on and if she can help in any way. When viewing properties one of the ladies from the lettings team has shown me around and discussed what rental amount I'd be looking at and they have advised on what work to do on each property to attract tenants, which has been really useful as a first time investor. Laura arranged an appointment with the mortgage advisor who provided me with excellent advice and showed me a variety of options without over complicating the information. So far I'm filled with confidence that these guys are the real deal and have the customers interest at heart; I really look forward to doing business with you!

These clowns are the definition of a Micky Mouse operation! a simple rent due date change at the beggining of our tenancy, has caused us nothing but greif, as these idiots can't wrap their tiny minds around it! They have been informing the landlord every month that we are in arrears, making us look like bad tenants, when we paid extra to change the rent date from the 24th of the month to the 1st! they claim to have no record of that, so we show them our bank statements, then they go quiet and can't even be bothered to apologise or even acknowledge their wrong doings!
One month we made a mistake and our direct debit failed! entirely our fault! but i didn't realise until the 5th, so i called them up and paid it, JOB DONE! but no... although they said "thanks that's gone through" on the phone, It hadn't at all, so we went 3 weeks without paying the rent! the landlord yet again getting annoyed at us because of their incompetance! this was the final straw! we decided to hand in our notice to leave! we told them we will be out on the 1st of august, and guess what came next!?! we must be out by the 24th or we'll have to pay extra to bring it up to the 1st! THEY STILL HAVEN'T WRAPED THEIR HEADS AROUND IT!!! even after showing them my damn bank statements!!! This is an absolute joke!! I wish i could leave no stars! My advice to anyone is avoid any of Sequence's agencies! they are a bunch of fools!
PS. We paid a large admin fee, yet had to do all the admin ourselves! including drawing up our own authority to disclose contract to give to the Council to release a reference!! Which is something the council told me they have never experienced! they said it's always the estate agents who provide such papaerwork. ABYSMAL!!!

We have used w h brown in worksop for years now as were regular movers and Claire and her team are very helpful even when times get really stressful towards the end Claire always managers to put things right without there expert knowledge and commitment to customer service and satisfaction moving house would be intolerable .

Excellent experience - I've just completed purchasing my first house from w h brown ( Worksop ) and all members of staff were polite n helpful eps Laura who spent many hours pushing for the deal to get done at a good price for me, also had two viewings with out any problems and meeting at times that best suited my busy schedule - I recommend these guys to anyone hope to deal with you again - thanks jem!
