I can not praise Phil Charman enough, he is an expert in his job. Phil was the agent I purchased my property from and from start to finish he did everything in his power to get the whole chain to complete, going over and above considering he was not my selling agent. We had a very tight deadline and if it wasn’t for Phil being proactive, I’m not sure it would have happened. When we met Phil, we knew straight away that we were going to sell our home with Addison. He was very personable, friendly and had a good view of the market. Throughout the process Phil kept us updated and the fact he has thought of the simple things that make a real difference like the WhatsApp group, helping people on the day they move by meeting them at the property with the keys rather than making you visit their office (would be great if other agents did this!), plus gifting flowers, demonstrates that he really gets it and wants to make a stressful time a lot easier for people. Phil really understood what we were looking for in a new home and told us about properties we may like, even if they weren’t for sale with him! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Phil and Addison to anyone selling or buying a property.

Phil is a very straightforward person to do business with. After previously having my property on the market for two years I took it off the market as there was limited interest. Fast forward a year or so and I met Phil for an uncomplicated casual introductory chat. Which was all I needed. We agreed terms on a handshake. After a few days Phil showed the house and the first viewer offered full asking price. Our house being on market only for few weeks before we got 2 offers on it. However the chain is long so it took a while to go through. Phil has always make us feel when the unexpected situation happened, he will be there and assist us.

We recently bought our first home through Addison Estate Agents, prior to buying we were just looking to rent in the area but were take aback at how other large name estate agents in the area mistreated us - even after knowing estate agents collectively can have a poor reputation. We contacted Phil to view two properties which he arranged back-to-back for in short notice, he had answers to my long list of questions, and he promptly sought answers for follow up enquiries.
As first time buyers, we were apprehensive as first time buyers an estate agent may try to take advantage of us. From our first chat on the Monday he had got photos completed and we were listed on the Wednesday. We were selling a shared ownership property so I know there was lots of work for Phil to do for us but he was on the ball from the start ensuring the process was completed as quickly as possible.

From start to finish Philip has been great at selling my house, especially as I was not living there, He's organised literally everything and every one and as I live on the isle of Wight it made my life easier. Hi. Phil was recommended to us by our daughter and we couldn't have been happier with the service he gave us. There was no typical estate agent 'approach'. Just plain and honest and taking into account market conditions that we might not be aware of. Friendly, good communication, kept in contact well and even set up a WhatsApp group for asking questions that might not need an instant answer. When we saw a house that might fit what we were looking for, we'd often ask his advice about the price or the area or something else and he would give us his opinion and it made it so much easier. Certainly when viewing houses we were interested in, there was a clear difference between the estate agents we were shown around by and Phil's approach. The chain in the move was not easy and the team went above and beyond what we expected, but we got there in the end. I would have no hesitation about selling our current house (not that we have the slightest intention of moving!) with Phil.
