We put a bid in on a new place before having even marketed our flat. We used Allen Davies as our agent so they could manage our purchase and sale. As a result we agreed a very reasonable sales agency fee, and an open day was arranged in a week, with an offer accepted (above asking price) 2 days after.

Daniel managed the process of our sale and our move and he did so very professionally. We were kept in the loop continually. Would definitely recommend.

Never experienced such appalling crooked incompetence and unprofessionalism in my life. I know estate agents have quite negative reputations but these people really lived up to every awful story I’d ever heard. They tried to bully me into exchanging on a property before extensive work was finished on the bathroom. They gave me the wrong information regarding the lease, knowing I wouldn’t have put an offer in if I’d known. In the end the whole process was dragged out for over three months and has cost me almost £1000 in fees, was still no closer to being resolved so finally I had to walk away. I then requested to be taken off their mailing list, that they would not be hearing from me again at which point I get email from the manager saying it would be his pleasure to take me off their list. A snide sarcastic response rather than an apology for months of lying and messing me around. I cannot stress enough if you’re buying a property do not use Allen Davies. The only thing stopping me from taking them to small claims so they can pay for the money I lost due to their utter incompetence is that I would have to see them again and life for me is too short.

do not rent flats from them !!! scammers have rented a house to someone who has already been rented a lot earlier, liars and cheaters, I have never met such a non-professional agency

Don't rent through them!
Like almost all agents, are only helpful and friendly til they have your money/signature.
They also use terrible managing agents, who have just ripped us off for half our deposit, after we checked out. Had no issues with the inventory.

Allen Davies is just about the only estate agent in Leyton, if not London, that actually treats its tenants like human beings rather than a cash sum every month.

We've been very happily renting from them for 3 years now, and while the issues have been very few and far between, where they have arisen, they've always been straight on it. Contact is routine in both directions and inspections are carried out not just to check the property is being cared for but that it is caring for the tenants as well.

Dropping into the office is always a pleasure as well should you need anything.

Can't say it enough: these guys are great at what they do.

I was not technically a client as I was a buyer but was very happy with the service. Tony Strover was always very prompt at dealing with enquiries and made an extremely stressful process more bearable. Would definitely consider using in the future.
