Alternative Estates have been first rate in the management, subsequent marketing and eventual sale of my property and in providing sage advice and guidance in purchasing new property also. Nick, Carla and Annette are always available to take a call or respond to a query and endeavour to keep you updated every step of the way. What sets the team apart is the apparent willingness to go that little bit further to provide you with what you require, even out of hours on occasion. I've worked with Alternative Estates for the last 10 years and I can't recommend them highly enough, a friendly, professional and capable team who in my opinion, provide a great service to their clients.

My experience was with them a little over month ago now, with my move this has been the first time I have been able to sit down and write a review about them. First of all when we arrived at the property we were a little early however the estate agent turned up and failed to introduce herself to us, just indicated to us to follow her. Once inside she just went straight into small talk about the Grenfall Tower incident, still without introduction to who she was. Once inside the property both my partner and I felt like the property wasn't as indicated as on the website and without the availability advertised. To make matters worse the agent failed to know anything about the property from energy suppliers to rent, she just kept saying call the office as she doesn't deal with rental properties. Which begs the question why was she showing us round and if this is the only agent available why didn't you prepare for the viewing?

Turns out later in the day we were seeing other properties with this agent, expecting the same situation we arrived at the property once again early waiting for her. When she arrives we are lead to the building along with two other people, in my view having group viewings is not fair on prospective buyers as we aren't truly given time to look round the property. What made the situation worse was that we were not informed of it being a group viewing, especially as we had already spoken earlier in the day about this viewing. Due to seeing two properties back to back with her, we were rushed round the apartments and once again the agent did not know anything about either the properties once again.

We did not go with this agency and I would not recommend them.

Would highly recommend Alternative Estates. Everyone I have had contact with over the last nine years have been very approachable but very professional at the same time. Mr N Green has been my main point of contact and has acted as a Letting Agent and most recently as the Estate Agent for my property. Any query I may have raised was answered and dealt with quickly and I was always kept informed. The advice and service I have received from this Company has been of the very highest standard.

I thought long and hard before writing this but hopefully it helps someone. They are a nice agency to begin with but please don't be fooled. They were all informal with my partner and I and very helpful till the end of our contract. They would not call us after sending emails with enquiries, they would not fix items that we asked for them to. I understand now that they wanted to claim our deposit. Very unprofessional in my opinion how they conduct things, please learn from our mistake we thought we had a good relationship with them but they aren't to be trusted and will claim all your deposit. I hope this helps someone out there especially if you're a student be careful when you are dealing with Alternative estates.

Having previously used Alternative a lovely Family run Business for a previous house sale,My sister and had inherited our parents, so with Nick's Advice on valuation we decided to renovate our parents which was a bit old fashioned,Nick advised us with a modest budget we could maximise the value of our parents house and sell it for much improved price so with Nicks help with project managing all the trades to come in and totally transferring it's look which incorporated A new kitchen,bathroom, redecorating the whole house and modernising the property and also landscaping when this was completed we marketed the house and within in a week we had 3 offers above the asking price so we was very happy with the complete service of Nick and the team cannot recommend them highly enough.
