Rented through Austin Chambers for two years, and I can confidently say they are one of the best rental agencies I've ever worked with. Their communication was always quick and honest, so refreshing compared to other agencies where you often have to wait weeks to get something fixed.

I wouldn’t use anybody else. They offer a remarkable, reliable, good and truly honest service.

Very disappointed with our experience with Mr Ali Khani he is very unprofessional unethical and rude. What is even more worse is that right at the end of our journey with him he decided to share a confidential conversation we had with him with the tenants on a email because he had a disagreement with us. Ali is unable to stay professional when he is having challenging conversations, he shouts, he talks over you and in recent light he can be spiteful. Specific examples of his unprofessional behaviours are when you ask him to give you documents like the agreement, he seems to think he is a lawyer and expects to be paid. When you ask him something or clarify he thinks he is giving you advice and again he expects to be paid. I am so glade we don’t have to deal with Ali anymore.

We would highly recommend Austin Chambers & Co. for both rental and sales as we haven’t met a more dedicated team. We rented a property from them for 13 years and can’t praise them enough. The Lettings Director -Mr. Ali Khani- has been extremely professional, thorough and consistently efficient the whole time, making it an easy process. The great thing was that no matter what the issue, you would get a call or a message that they are on it and not to worry. Because of the way they deal with things, we wouldn’t worry.
We were very lucky to have Mr. Ali Khani overseeing the lettings because his vast experience, continuous reliability and truly respectful manner made all the difference.

When I decided to put my house on the market recently, there was only ever one estate agent I was going to use….Richard at Austin Chambers.
I’ve lived in the area all my life and Austin Chambers have always been a reliable constant (Richard sold my previous house back in 2001 and the whole process went incredibly smoothly, thanks to him).
My property was presented beautifully for marketing and Richard suggested a conveyancing solicitor (who has been great) and once we had a buyer, he kept in constant contact, so things progressed as quickly as possible.
Richard is a true professional - helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and has always been on the end of a phone when I needed something or had questions.

I don’t even know where to start with this Agency. I first engaged with Ali (one of the agents) around a year ago. From the get go, the professionalism stood out. I’ve dealt with numerous agencies while renting and Austin Chambers came out far above. Any questions, queries and important information that I needed to know before renting were already known by Ali, if not, they were shortly answered giving me all the ammunition I needed to go ahead with renting. The transparency within the company from holding deposits to being the third person communicator with the landlord was outstanding. I have Ali’s number and I couldn’t tell you the amount of times I message asking stupid questions at silly o clock, to which I always get the answer impromptu, which is a fantastic bonus of a company being so ‘consumer’ oriented.
I could go on and on, but to put it simply. If you’re looking for reliability, transparency and genuine sincerity, you’ll find it with Austin Chambers & Co. 10/10

We have always moved a lot so I have seen my parents struggle with their agents and landlords many times and so when I rented my first apartment, I was not ready for the same. However, we got extremely lucky and somehow found the best estate agency. Our agent personally was Ali and he has been the most helpful, understanding, patient, and reliable person. He has helped me with all my stupid first-time renter questions, he’s helped with any issues we’ve had and gotten them sorted asap on his end, he’s come to hand us keys on a Sunday when he’s meant to be off because it was more convenient for us, and so much more. When we had to move again, we were really struggling to find another place so he found us a new flat to move into as well and we’re so glad to continue having him as a our agent. I could not recommend him and his agency enough.

This month he has sold a probate property for us - again very quickly and at a very good price. We put our property on the market with Richard Klein. We found him to be condescending, deceitful, and only interested in getting his commission at the lowest price.
We were in the property when he was showing people round and he was shocking.
When our property wasn’t selling, Richard Klein said we would need to reduce by £50,000, and it was clear to us he was doing this to get his commission. We didn’t agree with his view, so we went with another estate agent. Guess what? Within weeks we sold our house at the original asking price.
If you want to sell your house on the cheap, through an estate agent only interested about getting you to reduce a significant amount to get his commission and show people he sold the property locally to boost his business, then go with the deceitful Richard Klein.

I found this cafe by accident. I just wanted to have a quick coffee and hot chocolate for my wife while we had a house hunting. We were a bit peckish so had an egg of toast. I was recommended Austin Chambers and Richard through a friend who had sold her house through them and although not based in my area i was impressed with Richards professionalism and he explained that people ‘shop’ on all of the various online portals, which Austin Chambers are on, so my property would be seen by a wide range of people. His competitive commission rate was also a plus, especially compared to the more well known high street chain agencies. He gave me constructive feedback on the viewings and we discussed realigning the price to fit in with the current market and he secured an offer and a buyer within 4 weeks. Due to various issues outside of our control, the process took a lot longer than normal to complete, but I was regularly kept informed by Richard and reassured. in our various dealings with Austin Chambers we found Richard to be extremely efficient and genuinely enthusiastic about our property sale.When our first attempt to sell didn't materialise he was understanding,and didn't put us under any undue pressure which influenced our decision when we came to re marketing our property.

We chose Richard from Austin Chambers after reviewing 4 others. From the off he came across as polite, well mannered and not too salesman like. He showed a good knowledge of the property and area and carefully inspected the property before giving a top end and expected price. With viewings he tried to accommodate to our needs given covid, didn't waste our time with low bidders and within a few weeks had found a buyer who purchased at expected price. I mark down 1 star because in a buoyant market I would have hoped for more viewers.
During the sell/buy process he kept us informed of the situation and even helped to resolve some issues related to solicitors and purchase EA.
I would recommend Richard and Austin Chambers. Although small, with the world of Internet property searches, client database is not king any more and his support was invaluable.

Richard at Austin Chambers helped us find our home in North Finchley twenty six years ago. When it came to finding a trusted agent to sell my mothers home in Alexandra Park, Richard was the first person I wanted advice from. Of course I spoke to other agents in the area, but felt Richard very personable, professional, very responsive and his knowledge is exemplary. Other agents tried to put me off by saying he wasn't local to N22/N10 but really, the first place a potential buyer will look is on the major sites Zoopla etc. so felt I was fully covered.
Richard managed to bring a record no. of viewings to the house and the sale was completed in 4 months from the date of going live to completion. Highly recommended.

Since writing the review below in January I decided recently to sell my property and asked Richard Klein who handles sales at Austin Chambers to help. As I have come to expect from staff at Austin Chambers, Richard provided a top notch service. He found a buyer for me within a week, and the sale went through without any problems. He was always courteous, helpful, always had time to discuss any issue. Patience personified. All in all a very positive experience and I certainly would recommend him most highly to anyone seeking to sell their house.
I have found the Austin Chambers letting agency, run by Ali Khani and his team, to always be courteous, professional and efficient. They respond quickly to any queries, have kept me as a landlord fully informed of whatever I need to know, and have organised and supervised any works that need to be carried out on my property quickly and at a reasonable price. In my experience, Ali literally takes all the stress out of renting a property for the owner. He found a tenant within a week of the property becoming available and all processes were dealt with quickly and with the minimum of fuss. Saba, as property manager, is patient, diligent and considerate. She applies the concept of customer service to the highest level, and has gone way beyond the call of duty on more than a few occasions. She truly is a star! In short, Ali and Saba provide a reliable and top notch service. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

In May 2015 we, a small family of 3, paid a cash bribe (£500) to Mr Ali Khani of Austin Chambers (who is their Lettings Director now), out of pure desperation. So happened that we were in partial receipt of housing benefit (no longer the case) at that moment, and, as it is well known, nobody would agree to rent to someone on housing benefit. Mr Khani solicited the bribe from us, so he then could lie to the potential landlord and hide the receipt of housing benefit, and amend the documents as he saw fit. Perhaps because it was not the first backhander for Mr Khani, as he was brazen enough to put it down in writing for us, stating it as MY COST. And indeed our tenancy did happen, with our rogue landlord, who we are too very unhappy with. Luckily, we have now moved out of there. When we tried to raise concerns regarding bribery to Austin Chambers' Sales director, Mr Richard Klein, first, he just tried to cover it up, and even tried to blackmail us. When we wrote to The Property Ombudsman, they decided to do nothing- as it has been more than 12 months since the event has happened! This is despite the Bribery Act 2010, according to which bribery is a criminal offence! So right now Mr Khani and Mr Klein are free and complacent to continue with their unlawful deeds. They are also very pushy, arrogant and dishonest. However, as of this moment, there is no closure still, as we continue to seek justice.

My experience with Austin Chambers has been positive through and through and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
The team have operated in this part of North London for a long time and give plenty of good local insight. They give you the service you hope to get with a local business and, maybe most importantly, you can trust them. I also used many of their recommended partners for electrical test certificates, cleaning and removals - all of whom extend the same levels of service and satisfaction.
My experience is largely on the lettings side and Ali was patient and thorough with the many many questions and queries I had! Ali is super responsive over email, regardless of business hours, and always willing to take a follow up call. The reviews from others that talk of them being hard to get hold of simply doesn't match my experience at all and can't see where that is coming from. With regard to charges - Austin Chambers are competitive and charges are either comparable or cheaper than others. Simply compare to the 'chain' agents and the difference will be clear as day.
As I said, my experience is largely with the lettings side but have met and spoken with those running the sales side. The experience here was similar in terms of knowledge and willingness to spend a little time to talk things over.
